First minute of the vid and immediately useful info (I've learned my back pain is inflammation). Wish all youtube vids got to the point this quickly. No waffling about subscribing etc. Just info! Thank you.
I'm a licensed massage therapist and I use this on painful trigger points and to break up deep myofascial restrictions. Not all pain is inflammation that needs to be avoided. More often than not, pain in a tight muscle is either a trigger point or the result of lactic acid that is trapped in the tight muscles.
You can do it on yourself, but lying face down, or on your side, would be the best for this. (When you're sitting or standing the muscles are not relaxed.)
Running a massage machine down each side of the spine in the mid back will also help to loosen the rib joints, which need to move for breathing. So that could help. But I doubt that using it further out on the rib cage will help much.
3rd video watched and sorry, u use the foam ball for everything- defeats using all the other heads but i like that u show where the sensitive spots are
The plastic heads are a bit of a gimmick really. They are too hard and risk bruising or inflamming the muscles. You can use the hollow head for use around the Sacroiliac joint and Sterno-clavicular joints. The only time I ever use a plastic head is the arc/bow shaped head on arms and lower leg.
It depends on what is causing the nerve root compression, but in general, it should be fine. Just do it gently the first day and see how you go. If it's sore to do, or sore the next day, that indicates inflammation or nerve hypersensitivity, so you should stop. If it feels fine though, enjoy. Just stick to a maximum of 2 minutes a day in one area though.
Depends on how long ago. As long as it isn't in the last few months it should be ok if gentle in that area. But it's a case by case thing really, so only you're surgeon can tell you 100%
Lol. Just tell them to go up and down the bands of muscle on each side of the spine and try to avoid where the bones stick out. Or lie on your side and do it on yourself.
How far out to the sides of the lower back can we go? I noticed you use the machine on the spots where kidneys were marked, or close. And could you also make a video for sciatica pain relief? Thanks.
In the low back you can go about half way out to the sides. And yes, I'm planning a sciatica video actually. I'll try to get to it soon for you! Cheers, Stefan

Exactly. Ischaemic compression and percussion massage guns work wonders on lactic acid. The results can be very quick.
How do I free the lactic acid? Do I work that part of my back out and burn them or stretch that area to free them?
Thank you for your clarity and wisdom
Thanks Donna!

Yes, but gently, (especially if the scoliosis is big.)
It will help to cure scolisis?
Great video but what if you have noone to do back and SI joints for you 🤔
You can do it on yourself, but lying face down, or on your side, would be the best for this. (When you're sitting or standing the muscles are not relaxed.)
Great video thank you for the content and information
A pleasure Andy. Thanks!
What about using it over the lung area on one's back, eg copd , whizzing or just breathing problems

What brand massage gun would you recommend?
The ... Bob and Brad "C2"
What about using it over the lung area
Try it over the rib joints between the spine and the shoulder blade. (The costovertebral joints)
Good luck on getting someone to know all that and do all that for you ...

The best massage gun to purchase, from my experience, is the "Bob and Brad C2'" or T2
I found that if I massage my legs and glutes with the firm head, my lower back pain goes away.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Glutes are a major cause of low back pain.

The Bob and Brad C2 massage gun, the one I recommend, costs about $100, on Amazon.

A decent massage gun costs about €100. I recommend the Bob and Brad ones. The C2 or T2
