Thank you for the video and explanation.
Here is a recommendation for your use whenever you discuss anything or teach something; it applies in any language too.
When you are defining a term, it is extremely important to NEVER use the SAME term in the definition of the term. It is nearly meaningless to do that.
For example, when you are defining Called-up capital, we never define it by saying "Called-up capital is the value of the capital called up on the face value". Unfortunately, a hearer will immediately realize the speaker does not truly understand what she/he just said! Neither does the definition really define anything except give an extra clue by using the term face value.
Remember, you are making a video to explain things to a person who does not have prior knowledge of, or has little knowledge of what you are teaching in the video.
It is quite a common mistake with us desis. Sometimes makes us sound very gyani.
And remember "price" is NOT pronounced "prize"; just as Aastha is NOT pronounced Aaztha.
    Rest excellent! Well done.

Q: When a share is forfeited by the co. becoz of non-payment of balance called --up capital or non-payment of interest, what happens to such shares? Who holds these shares now, as the company is not allowed to hold its shares as per the Companies Act? For how long can a Co. hold these forfeited shares in its books or does the co/ reverse the issued share capital in its books? What's the accounting for it?
Does the defaulter have any way out to recover these shares, In case if it wants to at a later stage?

Suppose if a company ABC is registered and its MOA says authorized capital 1 crore and No. Of shares, 1 crore who's F.V. is 1 INR. Now initially the promoter pays 10 Lakh and receives 10 Lakh shares.
The paid-up capital at that moment will be 10 Lakh and company in the future can raise 90lakh more. Say after 1 year the company is doing well and now the promoter wants Venture capitalist to invest 10 lakh.
As the company did well so promoter decided to give per share at a premium of 2 INR instead of 1 INR. Hence VC will get 5 lakh shares of F.V 1 INR for 10Lakh investment.
My question is at this moment the total paid-up capital will be 20 Lakhs or 15 Lakhs? (The company has distributed only 15 Lakh shares of F.V. 1 INR )?
