A little late to this one, but I wanted to make sure to cover one of the more unique designs for Batman in McFarlane Toys form before the end of the year. It is the Lee Bermejo Black Adam comic Page Puncher, faring what could've been one of my top favorites if it wasn't for two major issues.

This batman clearly doesn't skip leg day. I like it

I actually did a head swap with the Mcfarlane Battinson head and honestly it looks so damn good on it. The stitching of the cowl especially compliments the stitching on the neck of the cowl on the page punchers. All I did was redo the eyes with a pearlescent white, cloth cape, and bam my favorite bat figure

I got myself one of these and did a bunch of dry brushing all over it and added silver paint to the buttons on the utility belt and the boots. And it looks even better with that. It's now among my favorite Batman figures.

This figure is a fantastic translation of Bermejo's style from comics to action figures. Although his design is drawn from a comic book is more realistic and grounded than many live action Batman designs. And those thick thighs are not as disturbing as those of DC Rebirth Batman because they're "hidden" by the suit armor.

Almost everyone like's the Lee Bermejo Figure as much as his artwork and stories. This figure is not 1 of my favs but I def agree that getting the Issue along w/ it is pretty neat. I would like a black and grey color scheme like in some of the art. My fav story that Bermejo did is the Joker book as well as Noel and Rorschach ( who is due for a figure soon as well as a few other Watchmen universe characters )
I think that a 4 issue comic even a 6 issue run would be perfect for the Page Punchers series!
Thanks for the great video David

Honestly the freakishly thick thighs don’t bother me. I feel like lee bermejo usually draws Batman thighs dummy thick lol.
I do think it’s funny that they seem to be over compensating for the first year figures all skipping leg day lol. (Never forget Arkham asylum Batman 😂)

I sat down and watched a play through of asylum and then looked at the mcfarlane....those asylum legs are foolishly skinny

Bermejo's design is my favorite batman design ever. McFarlane made it look a bit greenish which is not actually in the comics but anyway not bad, really good interpretation

I got one of these for 11 dollars because it was the “sketch” version, black and white.
Took the cape off, to be replaced for faux leather after I repaint this figure.

This batman would actually be a good figure to make his batman noel costume becaise it looks just like that version bit a few differences. All people would have to do is paint his suit gray and change the symbol to put closer to his front part of the cape under the neck. I'll definitely get this batman and do that myself because it is my favorite comic suit.

I never gave this figure much attention but you're right. It's probably one of the best. As for the niche figures I want to see, I'll have to go with the Neal Adams Green Lantern and Green Arrow.

I just got this figure in the mail today from Amazon after ordering it several days ago. The right leg kept popping off, so I put glue in the socket and popped the leg back on him, and surprisingly, his leg wasn’t stuck in place, but instead, now stuck to the body, still being movable/posable.

    • @Kyrelionis
      @Kyrelionis 2 ปีที่แล้ว

I used super glue from Harbor Freight.

    • @Kyrelionis

I also ripped off the shoulder pads. They were a hindrance to the figure’s articulation.

I wanted this because it look like Noel Batman. I finally broke down and bought it because it was on sale for $15. Two days later. McFarlne announced they were releasing an official Noel Batman at the end of January.
    Ugh!!
What marketing genius is releasing a Noel Batman figure - based of a comic book called Noel which is a retelling of a Christmas Carol with Batman as Scrooge - a.month AFTER Christmas??
