What if, for example, the Godfather is voted out while there are 5 people left in total and the Mafioso is among them ? Do the crewmates lose because of the now 2v2 ? Should they have already lost at the previous kill ? But then did the Mafioso win or lose ? Definitively possible to make it work, but that's typically the kind of object that becomes a nest of bugs if not properly designed and tested.
Yeah it seems very weak. I think it should work more like Town of Salem where the GF orders a hit and the Mafioso MUST carry out that kill. In this version both the Mafioso and Godfather would be able to kill, but until the GF dies it could only be done if ordered by GF. Would make it less of a dead role for most of the round and could be used in interesting ways like setting up double kills and such.

A similar idea should be a possible play in normal among us as well. Assume one impostor is super sus after 3 kills but avoids getting voted out on 7. He looks for a group of 3 crewmates. In best case with one being hard clear and two they don't know yet. While his impostor partner stays away and gets an alibi. The impostor kills the most cleared one and get voted out. The crew will button on 6, suspecting a failed double kill and vote one more off just to be sure. The last impostor is left 1v4. He needs to keep the last player the first impostor killed in front left in the game. Kill one or two more and push the rest of the crew to vote him off.
Since admin table is worthless in this mode, crew has to button like hell and report groupings. Janiter strategy seems to split from buddies until cool down, then link up for a kill. Rinse and repeat.
Admin is worthless in this map, but I think on skeld it could actually be powerful on this mode. If u see someone disappear on admin u can call that out and have everyone's locations checked. At least if the camped admin as much as they like to camp cams
admin isn't useless, you can still get a general feel for people's locations, you can spot kill flash + vanish for the kill+sweep combo and catch both godfather and janitor if you catch them on the escape route.

Also worth noting if you go to www.blankmediagames.com/ you can play TOS for free. Payment is only required if you want the app, which they sell through Steam. Also the paid version comes with the payment price worth of in-game currency to buy cosmetics with, but you can buy that currency on the website and get the same result anyway.
Day 20 of teaching his viewers, how 5up knows when his impostor partner kills: The kill button will flash for a frame. It is very easy to see when in a vent as the number sticks until he leaves said vent. It is noticeable when cool-down is off and slightly less so when his own cool-down is ticking. It is possible that this flash has not been noticed by you, the viewer, on TH-cam due to the fps of videos being 22 for the lower resolutions vs the game running on 60, showing this for a single or two frames at most. If you want to see this flash, change to at least 720p. Edit: Doesn’t really apply to this game-mode, although I think the kill button flashed into existence while he was mafioso on that first round. Second Edit: This is actually a really cool concept, would love to see more
Broken Mafia Strat: 1. Godfather sabotages lights 2. Mafioso (ideally 5up) goes and messes with lights 3. Godfather and Janitor walk around killing and sweeping bodies until Mafia wins :) I would love to see you try this strat once or twice, but after that, it would probably be best to ban it since it's practically unbeatable
the godfather could just turn the lights off at the start, then walk around with the janitor to kill and instantly clean bodies while the mafioso messes with the lights. the only way crewmates win is if they manage to report a body before the janitor cleans it, or the mafioso loses a lights battle, but then they'd still have to figure out the impostor because vision is so low.
So, an interesting philosophical part to this game is that the most important player is actually the Janitor. They have the power to sell out either of their team mates in order to give themselves an alibi, but neither the Godfather or the Mafioso can really afford to do so, and the Godfather has to pretty much wait for the Janitor to be ready before killing. Good mod, I hope they play more of this

A different modded among us creator is someone named bakbak, who covers a bunch of mods made by some developers that I think he hires. This mod is actually one such mods, as seen in the top right. I think bakbak was also in the game itself, but I don't think he was on discord. That, and he kept dying round 1.
Fr it sort of annoys me, especially when it’s so obvious a lot of these “modes” are literally piggybacking off of Town of Salem. I mean, it’s cool if they want to incorporate that into among us (considering among us is actual gameplay, why TOS is more talking) but at least give credit where credits due, lmao.

How I'd design it Mafioso can only kill and affect doors, plus sabotages but only if physically proximate to the location of the sabotage. Godfather can do all sabotages remotely, kill with a much longer cooldown, and their map view is basically like that of the admin table but with impostors marked Janitor is not informed who the other impostors are, cannot kill nor sabotage, but they can lock nearby doors with very short cooldown, gets a map notification when there's a dead body, can drag bodies with a severe walking speed penalty, and clean up bodies in a way that acts like a task that takes several seconds Janitor is counted as a crewmate when it comes to determining whether the game is over. Would have to think carefully about what abilities can be inherited in the event of deaths but in any case, if clean-up can transfer, there's a long cooldown to clean up one's own kill
This mode is definitely an interesting twist on Among Us. It was fun to see how the gameplay changed when the impostors were replaced with three Mafia members. It made it more challenging for the crewmates to figure out who was suspicious because there were three people working together instead of two. One thing I noticed was that some players seemed to struggle with the new roles. Nogla, for example, was supposed to be getting an alibi but instead went on a "murder scene world tour." It was entertaining to watch but definitely not a great strategy. There were also some interesting suggestions in the comments, like having the Mafioso start as a crewmate who doesn't know they're part of the Mafia until their teammates die. That would definitely change the game dynamic and make it even more challenging for the crewmates. The comment about 5up's talk no jutsu was spot on. He has a way of manipulating other players' emotions and turning them against each other, which is a great skill to have when playing as an impostor or Mafia member. Overall, I think this mode is a fun twist on Among Us, and I'd love to see more game modes like this added in future updates. Btw, 5up / developers, please tell 5up / bakbak that you can win in just 1 round with no meetings called in this mod. All the impostors have to do is call lights, let the Mafioso flick it off, and have the GF and Janitor kill and clean up bodies. They can even kill in front of people and the body wouldnt be reported. Obviously thats no fun and should be banned from doing so. But if they want to make this a competitive mode, they can make it so that the Mafioso cant open lights panel or that the Janitor can only clean bodies that are 3-5 seconds old. I also think that the Mafioso should be able to do tasks as a crewmate to make the role more useful. That way people cant vote off impostors based off elimination when there's 3 people that are medscanned.

Blackmailer: Disable a player from speaking during a meeting. Hypnotist: Hypnotize players into thinking there is a sabotage going on when there isn't. Consigliere: See what tasks a player has and what tasks they have done (has niche uses for building alibi "I passed green while they were doing water wheels")
If there were town roles as well Escort: block the impostor from killing, and stops other roles except jester and sk Jailor: capture a crewmate, impostor, or maf, and speak to them Medium: can see the dead chat during the game, but to balance it, the names and colors will disappear for everyone so the dead can't see who killed them, and if medium dies, they can speak to one player only to give information and that is it Vigilante: kill a player you think is suspicious, but a wrong kill means you die after the next meeting Transporter: select 2 players and swap them, you can only see their name Retributionist: revive a dead player and control them to target a player, the user will be invisible Doctor: select a crewmate to be healed, and if they die, they get revived no matter where they are and get immunity for 30 seconds, you can revive yourself if you get killed, but only once Lookout: run over a player and press the button to reveal potential roles, and you see what the color and name of the player Sheriff: run over a player and press the interrogate button to see the name, color and if they are suspicious. I wonder if this would work well combined with the concept of an impostor drafting teammates: initially, there's just one Godfather, but the Godfather can tag one other person to be Janitor and one other person to be Mafioso; those people could be allowed to do tasks, but their tasks would auto-complete if all all crewmate tasks are completed (thus allowing a crewmate win). While the automatic assignment of roles has some advantages, allowing the Godfather to designate teammates could have some advantages.as well, especially if the Godfather can forcibly recruit someone who would otherwise be the biggest threat.
Thought of a cool variation to this mod if it's possible; The godfather can go up to people and mark them, one at a time. The mafioso somehow gets told (like gets the marked's picture on their screen) who is marked person and can only kill that person, basically like getting a contract. The godfather can't mark anyone else until the mafioso kills but marks reset after a meeting. If either the mafioso or godfather dies, the janitor assumes that role. Crew wins if they vote out any 2 mafia. I wonder if that would be possible to make.

So, an interesting philosophical part to this game is that the most important player is actually the Janitor. They have the power to sell out either of their team mates in order to give themselves an alibi, but neither the Godfather or the Mafioso can really afford to do so, and the Godfather has to pretty much wait for the Janitor to be ready before killing. Good mod, I hope they play more of this

If you wanna watch more modded AU, l recommend SocksFor1. He does a bunch of different AU role mods.
A different modded among us creator is someone named bakbak, who covers a bunch of mods made by some developers that I think he hires. This mod is actually one such mods, as seen in the top right. I think bakbak was also in the game itself, but I don't think he was on discord. That, and he kept dying round 1.
I would reccomend watching bakbak or socksfor1, they do that a lot :)

These are just general Mafia roles, yeah. Used in ToS, Epicmafia, etc.

How I'd design it
Mafioso can only kill and affect doors, plus sabotages but only if physically proximate to the location of the sabotage.
Godfather can do all sabotages remotely, kill with a much longer cooldown, and their map view is basically like that of the admin table but with impostors marked
Janitor is not informed who the other impostors are, cannot kill nor sabotage, but they can lock nearby doors with very short cooldown, gets a map notification when there's a dead body, can drag bodies with a severe walking speed penalty, and clean up bodies in a way that acts like a task that takes several seconds
Janitor is counted as a crewmate when it comes to determining whether the game is over. Would have to think carefully about what abilities can be inherited in the event of deaths but in any case, if clean-up can transfer, there's a long cooldown to clean up one's own kill

This mode is definitely an interesting twist on Among Us. It was fun to see how the gameplay changed when the impostors were replaced with three Mafia members. It made it more challenging for the crewmates to figure out who was suspicious because there were three people working together instead of two.
One thing I noticed was that some players seemed to struggle with the new roles. Nogla, for example, was supposed to be getting an alibi but instead went on a "murder scene world tour." It was entertaining to watch but definitely not a great strategy.
There were also some interesting suggestions in the comments, like having the Mafioso start as a crewmate who doesn't know they're part of the Mafia until their teammates die. That would definitely change the game dynamic and make it even more challenging for the crewmates.
The comment about 5up's talk no jutsu was spot on. He has a way of manipulating other players' emotions and turning them against each other, which is a great skill to have when playing as an impostor or Mafia member.
Overall, I think this mode is a fun twist on Among Us, and I'd love to see more game modes like this added in future updates. Btw, 5up / developers, please tell 5up / bakbak that you can win in just 1 round with no meetings called in this mod.
All the impostors have to do is call lights, let the Mafioso flick it off, and have the GF and Janitor kill and clean up bodies. They can even kill in front of people and the body wouldnt be reported.
Obviously thats no fun and should be banned from doing so. But if they want to make this a competitive mode, they can make it so that the Mafioso cant open lights panel or that the Janitor can only clean bodies that are 3-5 seconds old.
I also think that the Mafioso should be able to do tasks as a crewmate to make the role more useful. That way people cant vote off impostors based off elimination when there's 3 people that are medscanned.

Disguiser: Disguise fellow imposter as a different player for a short time.
Consort: Disable a player from completing tasks/using cams/admin/vitals for a short time.
Blackmailer: Disable a player from speaking during a meeting.
Hypnotist: Hypnotize players into thinking there is a sabotage going on when there isn't.
Consigliere: See what tasks a player has and what tasks they have done (has niche uses for building alibi "I passed green while they were doing water wheels")
If there were town roles as well
Escort: block the impostor from killing, and stops other roles except jester and sk
Jailor: capture a crewmate, impostor, or maf, and speak to them
Medium: can see the dead chat during the game, but to balance it, the names and colors will disappear for everyone so the dead can't see who killed them, and if medium dies, they can speak to one player only to give information and that is it
Vigilante: kill a player you think is suspicious, but a wrong kill means you die after the next meeting
Transporter: select 2 players and swap them, you can only see their name
Retributionist: revive a dead player and control them to target a player, the user will be invisible
Doctor: select a crewmate to be healed, and if they die, they get revived no matter where they are and get immunity for 30 seconds, you can revive yourself if you get killed, but only once
Lookout: run over a player and press the button to reveal potential roles, and you see what the color and name of the player
Sheriff: run over a player and press the interrogate button to see the name, color and if they are suspicious.

I wonder if this would work well combined with the concept of an impostor drafting teammates: initially, there's just one Godfather, but the Godfather can tag one other person to be Janitor and one other person to be Mafioso; those people could be allowed to do tasks, but their tasks would auto-complete if all all crewmate tasks are completed (thus allowing a crewmate win). While the automatic assignment of roles has some advantages, allowing the Godfather to designate teammates could have some advantages.as well, especially if the Godfather can forcibly recruit someone who would otherwise be the biggest threat.

Thought of a cool variation to this mod if it's possible; The godfather can go up to people and mark them, one at a time. The mafioso somehow gets told (like gets the marked's picture on their screen) who is marked person and can only kill that person, basically like getting a contract. The godfather can't mark anyone else until the mafioso kills but marks reset after a meeting. If either the mafioso or godfather dies, the janitor assumes that role. Crew wins if they vote out any 2 mafia.
I wonder if that would be possible to make.
