    I think they use the class 111 on the Keighley Heritage Railway or maybe the 101. Well sometimes. I was only little when I last went on it. I remember it once it had a Deltic. It was fun, I always went to Haworth. I wanna go on it now.

    Shame I spent the budget in the sale, looks like a very interesting and well made route! I'm sure this will be a popular one for you to do in your new route guide series as well.

      simonmd2000 This route is definitely worth getting when you can! It's well made and looks great. I would definitely like to cover this area in a route guide at some point :)

    Nicely done once again PTGRail this route looks pretty good. What train stock do you get with it?

    • @PTGRail
      @PTGRail  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      William Mankelow Thanks William. You get a BR Green Class 101, Class 25 and Class 37. You also get that weird tender forward thing. The Class 105 comes in the twin pack :)

    • @Bullmannumber4
      @Bullmannumber4 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      PTGRail Thanks, I might just get it then. That seems decent value for money. The front tender is, or at least should be, an extra brake tender. It was designed to be used unfitted freight trains.

    You swapped DMUs, and I agree the 111 with the AP soundpack, is very good. Love it in the Tyne Trader trilogy!! But how do you swap them out like that, or can you shared the swapped scenario perhaps? I'd prefer to drive it with the 111 too, if possible?

    Dose the route run from Durham and follow the ecml straight to Darlington or dose it go bishop Auckland first?

    • @PTGRail
      @PTGRail  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chicken Gamer You don't have the ECML route from Durham to Darlington. To travel between the two cities you have to go via Bishop Auckland in this add on.

    How do you endlessly drive? There's no free roam and quick drive ends when you depart. Please help

    • @SignalBox
      @SignalBox 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cat Simulator 2015 You can make your own "quick drive" scenarios in the editor. On the home menu go to edit/build (not on my PC now so just trying to remember) the click the scenario tab. Somewhere there should be an option to create a new scenario, select "Quick Drive". Once loaded you can place the rolling stock that you want. I would recommend that you have a look at some scenario editor tutorials, just so you know what you are doing :)

    How do you know where all the speed boards, stations and gradients are without using the UI?

    • @PTGRail
      @PTGRail  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mil Pop I drive the route a few times with the HUD on, and make notes of landmarks and speed limit locations. I then just practice until I can drive without the HUD and record it. I don't know if you've seen any of my other videos, but I never use the HUD at all :)

      PTGRail Must take alot of time and patience. Don't really get how you manage it really. I'd be useless lol. You'd make a good train driver IRL I think, or maybe you are one? xD

    • @PTGRail
      @PTGRail  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mil Pop I wish I was one! Unfortunately not, I've never driven a train in real life. This is just all the result of time, patience and a lot of research :)

    • @PTGRail
      @PTGRail  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sir Peepsalot You can buy this game on disk, but when you install it you will need to get a steam account and then buy all the add ons through Steam. You can't have a Steam-free game lol :)

    • @Synnystershy
      @Synnystershy 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      PTGRail Unfortunately I don't have a super omega intergalactic super computer to run all the add ons :/ Looks like the disc for me.

    Tut tut, FYI, all station approaches throughout this network are 10mph with the exception of Darlington Bank Top, Bishop Auckland and Durham City. You should always aim to bring your speed down to approach speed 50 yards in advance of the outer home signal. Also, make sure you place the brake handle back into hold when released otherwise you'll be running the vacuum pump constantly. Nice video but shame you're using non-prototypical rolling stock, 111s would never have driven this route. AP does have a 101 sound pack and you could have used that even if it was in BR Blue, still wouldn't have been out of place given the Corporate Blue livery came in 1964.

    • @BMRail
      @BMRail 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      purplesmurf2010 seems a bit odd to me, why would you be slowing down to 10mph so far away? which then takes longer to get from the outer home signal to the station?

    • @PTGRail
      @PTGRail  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      purplesmurf2010 I saw no indication that I should slow to 10mph, where did you get this information from? I realise my mistake with the brake handle, I do normally remember to put it in the hold position on steam locos and know I should on DMUs. As for the choice of unit, I felt that a green 111 suited this route better than a blue 101.

    • @purplesmurf2010
      @purplesmurf2010 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      PTGRail Standard operating practice on approaching unmanned stations, lived next to the route and travelled it for the better part of 40 years. There's a rule in the old BR handbook that mentions approaches to such stations on branch routes, when I dig it out, I'll scan it and you can have a copy. Should help immensely with route learning particularly for older routes. Also, you can refer to the RSSB Driver Handbook which is a more up-to-date rule book covering modern practices, much of which is derived from the old BR handbook. You can get that online from here > goo.gl/3h8yQV
