Before the pandemic I used to road trip to this Mitsuwa once a month. Always start with a large shio bowl at santouka, hit the gift shop, then buy plenty of menraku ramen, mochi ice cream, ito en tea, and misc snacks. It's been a year, and I miss it deeply.
@@abyssiancat2983 It depends on location. In the US, this is common practice, and preferred method. There are always multiple ways to eat things. You can eat it however you wish.
Definitely going to try some of the ones Mike recommended! You should do more of these videos for viewers who are living in the USA but crave Asian food! :P
I know this is an older video, but I honestly LOVED Mitsuwa back when I lived in SoCal. One of my favorite places to get specific ingredients, lunches, and rice balls when I needed a quick pick-me-up. Now since I moved, I discovered a smaller Japanese import grocer in my town that is run by two ladies from Hokkaido, and so much of what you got is what they get. It makes me so happy (btw the light cheesecake is the best on a hot day with a cool milk tea).

i honest dont understand the hate on broccoli, its literally one of the best green vegetables. amazing for things like the juice and soup in ramens etc, the head of the broccoli typically soaks up and holds all that flavour and juice.
Am I the only want always watch Mikey Chen videos while eating as well? I don't why, I got my appetite back every time I watch his video. I got used to eat instant noodle almost every day when studying at college. So I became sick of eating it but I have no choice because of money. Thanks to this guy, this not so interesting and taste ugh instant noodles becomes greattttt!
The back row of the food court was open in early Nov 2020 with acrylic panels separating the tables. There was a line to get seated, but we didn’t need to line up to get into Mitsuwa. Looks like they enforcing more rules now. Your video makes me want to go back to take my time in the store. I usually try to go once a year since it’s an hour plus to get there.
i wish you made a list of the brands of the noodles so i could write them down and hunt them down for myself... I need to pay better attention during the video
I missed sushi so much it’s been a year. 😭 Off topic but pretty you have the same fridge that I do. If the brand is Whirlpool it’s exactly the same as mine. Mine also stick out like that because I refused to get a smaller counter depth fridge. Food space over aesthetic. No wonder you’re my favorite food blogger.

The iron chef ramen is the best instant ramen I ever had.tonkotsu is def the better choice. I’m kinda disappointed it wasn’t worth the hype that it deserve!
Man that Mitsuwa is much larger and nicer than the one where I live, super jealous! I also love the Nissan curry one, oddly enough I first tried it when our local Wal-Mart of all places began stocking it.

Mitsuwa is a treasure in Edgewater, NJ. I have made the 3 hour trip (one-way) just to stock up when I can. Glad it is covered on this great channel!
