One small error I'd like to correct is me saying the Introduction Movie was exclusive to the PS2 version. The movie shipped on a separate disk as part of the "Special Edition" and not on all PS2 releases.
The Introduction movie was actually included on a third CD as part of the San Andreas soundtrack album, and was playable on PC, PS2 and Xbox, or anything with a CD reader. If you put it in a Sony Walkman, it still played the audio but obviously without any visuals. I don't believe it ever shipped with the PS2 game, special edition or otherwise.
San Andreas stories could have very well been a thing if they split the game into 3 disks. 1 for los santos and the country, 1 for san fierro, and 1 for Las Venturas.
@@Fxrrxt2x Pretty sure Rockstar could create GTA Las Venturas and San Fierro as seperate game within the 10 year frame they did before GTA 6 in the same engine. They were just too greedy.
There isn't much to make out of it. Also Brian was a teenager so Rockstar would not make a game about a teenager being killed even then. Now especially they wouldn't do it.
It would've made sense, though. The game also likely would've ended with their mother's murder and you'd see CJ making his way into the airplane that will bring him back home to tie it into the San Andreas intro.

VCS feels like a midpoint between old school GTA irreverancy and the realistic moodiness of IV. The story is tragic and cynical but there is also some wacky shit and flipppancy.
VCS is basically just a Cover of what GTA IV is going to be. It's like telling Niko the Land of Opportunity, the American Dream, and Liberty City is going to be amazing only to realize it's all fake and just straight up dark, gloomy, and sad. VCS, looks so cheerful and exciting. Then GTA IV comes in, and it feels so depressing to see what it looks like. But because VCS and IV look so different to each other, it's so easy to forget that both of these games have the same tragic stories with a mix of some of some light-hearted humor. They're basically the same, and even both of the protagonists, Niko and Victor, have been in the military, and they've both experienced some messed up tragedy, and did some messed up things too, but are still really kind people who's willing to help those around them and get revenge against the people who've wronged them and the people they care about. It's clear that the vibe of GTA IV was influenced by the dark side of VCS.
@@Jo-Wilbe-Dina Indeed. I do think that IV pulls it a lot better than Stories. The characters are more likable and the tone is more even. Stories has a radio program about a dude traveling in time by masturbating AND the depressing story of Louse. You can have wacky sh*t and pathos together but it is a tricky balance.
@@Jnensrevenge That's just Life in a nutshell. We are having fun because of all the whacky silly stuff, while suffering every single day and even being depressed at times.
Simple answer, the map is too big for PSP, San Andreas even pushed the PS2 to it's limit But i feel like a San Andreas Stories would've either had Sweet or Ceasar as the protagonist and set probably in 1989
The real reason they didn't do a GTA SA Stories is because they didn't want to, the leaks of this year show that they didn't event thought of doing it, there were more probabilities of doing a GTA in Tokyo than another game in San Andreas
@@Lupo32 yes and no, obviously Rockstar North was busy with GTA IV but not other Rockstar studios, there's a reason why the majority of games between GTA SA and GTA IV are done by studios like Rockstar Dundee or Rockstar Leeds, they could just use other studio to do their game, but no, they just didn't want to do GTA San Andreas Stories, do you really think Rockstar is just one game developer?
@@snake_ls Same reason they shift all the focus In gta 6 ..... red dead online was abandoned and rdr 3 has been green lit but all focus is on gta 6 ... and there is a rumored medieval rockstar game but all focus in on gta 6
@@Lupo32 You don't understand. There was a time when Rockstar wasn't just a one game company, they rebranded from DMA Design to Rockstar North during GTA3. To capitalise on the success of the Rockstar name, their parent company Take 2 rebranded other, smaller studios they owned around the world into Rockstar Leeds, Rockstar Dundee, Rockstar Toronto, etc etc. During this time, while Rockstar North developed GTAIV, the other studios made separate games. This is why we have Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories, and when we should have theoretically got San Andreas Stories. However, not long after that, during GTAV development, Take2 redirected a few of the studios to help with GTAV and closed the others down. Then after RDR2, they closed the rest down, or merged them together into new studios. There is no shift of focus between a web of studios anymore, it's basically just the two, Rockstar North and Rockstar Toronto, plus the head legal office in New York. There are no other Rockstar branded studios left with a sizable enough team to develop a game, Rockstar Leeds only has 70 employees for example. Also everyone who made GTA and Rockstar North the company it was left after RDR2 anyway, Houser, Lazlow, Benzies, etc, so Rockstar North only exists in name only.
It was just a case of workload delegation. LCS and VCS were developed before the RAGE engine was fully fleshed out, then when IV was in development, it required almost all of their manpower, half of which then had to go on towards RDR throughout GTA IV. SA required too much storyline, voice actors, story developers etc that by the time IV was in full swing, there was no room to go back to San Andreas to develop another huge last gen game. They also had Max Payne 3 to deal with and then GTA V, there was no time or room for SA Stories. I wanted it at the time as much as all of us, but it makes sense now why we didn’t get it.
60fps will never be standard. It has nothing to do with hardware. No matter how powerful the hardware gets, devs will rather dedicate the extra power to the game world than to 60 fps. They will always choose more NPC’s on screen over 60 fps. They will always choose lager maps over 60 fps. That’s just the way it goes.
The Los Santos lore(Families vs Ballas and Vagos vs Aztecas) was complete enough, but San Fierro still had potential, there are even a few gangs that are mentioned but never appeared(Shining Razors, Butterfly Children),imagine one were you play as a triad in San Fierro, expanding the lore of the Triads,San Fierro Rifa,Da Nang Boys,Loco syndicate, etc and if it was before San Andreas it could have return of characters like Woozie,Guppy,Litle Lion,Ran Fa Li,Su xi mu,Mike Toreno,Jizzy,T Bone or even Claude
And las venturas as well. Even there’s some mobsters who ruled the city before the Sindaccos. Maybe that would be another sindacco chronicles. But at their peak or something like that.
@@zakrowe1301 I just think we could've had one back then, in this imagine-spot we're in of "if they tried a San Andreas Stories on PSP". On GTA 1, San Andreas was literally just "San Fierro", so setting it just there, for instance, and in the 70's, could've worked great, what with that being the most famous decade for the "car chase movie", as well as one of the most popular locations too. Potentially interesting plot too, even relating to cars, what with the oil crisis and all.
There's also one thing making it potentially more difficult. EA bought Criterion which owned RenderWare which is the SD trilogy engine. Rockstar was compelled to make their own engine and even VCS is made on early Rage, with some elements previously seen in their RenderWare games. Kinda hybrid maybe won't be exaggeration here. VCS was really transitional between the generations.
@@TheRealDarth_Vader I was a fan of gta 4 but it has very little replay value and has far less features than San Andreas which is crazy considering gta 4 was the introduction to the 3D universe. I may be a little biased but like you said it’s all opinion based.

Gta4 was a major step back from sa and is only getting glazed recently because of the euphoria engine that was better than gtav physics engine. This game was a huge disappointment in comparison to sa. You people just hype whatever the media is currently hyping. In 4 years when the narrative is saying gta vice city was the best, youll be saying how vc was the best. San andreas is the best gta and that isnt a debate. Every other gta lacks what sa had in some way or another and thats a fact.
There's also Big Bear and B-Dup, two other characters who were part of the Grove Street Families who would've been perfect as supporting characters who provide missions in the beginning of the game. It isn't helped by the fact that B-Dup is voiced by rapper The Game. Emmet could've been a great supporting character as well. As far as gangs go, Seville Boulevard Families and Temple Drive Families are said by Sweet that they were beefing with each other and have split from the Grove Street Families, yet they hardly play a significant role in the Los Santos part of the storyline, even in the return of the city You have The Truth, who is the ultimate government conspiracy theorist, and Mike Toreno, who is the ultimate G-Man, and they never meet. What makes this harder is they have a ships passing in the night moment at the airfield when The Truth is talking to you but runs away after he notices Toreno is nearby. i already give enough reasons to make it work for me or we can see the ballas command structure how they defeat the grove street families and other gangs and become powerful how brian died

@@mistermelancholy7698 in San Andreas the textures are so simple I think they were able to take it to far larger scales vs in GTA 5 everything looks more polished but its really just a big empty map
Such a crying shame they never created San Andreas Stories. They could've created it and released it in 2007, that way they could've had three GTA games debuted in a row, and a fourth one in 2008 (GTA 4). I would've loved to imagine playing as either Sweet, Cesar, Woozie, or CJ and Sweet's deceased brother Brian as the protagonist if the story had taken place in 1990, two years before the events of GTA San Andreas. But alas, it's only wishful thinking...
CJ was born in 1968 and in the story they tell that Brian is 5 years younger than CJ. Brian was born in 1973. Brian's death was five years before CJ returned so it happened 1987, so he died 14 years old.
They could have put the map on the PSP. If Test drive Unlimited can put it's map on there (It dwarfs any GTA map.) then San Andreas could fit on there. Still, if that's a concern they could always split the maps and release them as separate games, but the game coming in 3 parts would be more effort than it's worth. It doesn't seem like there's any real point in it. Adding to an already bloated story, in a loose prequel way doesn't seem like a good idea.
if the game struggled on the PS2, then there is no way they could port it to PSP. also, the maps in GTA are dense and meant to be explored by foot not just a stretch of long road with random buildings on the side
@@bassram3337 I never said port it over 1:1. If they have to make changes to fit it on then so be it. I even suggested one way to do that, divide up the map. But that was my point, about the map...not the game. As for the game maybe change the gameplay to be more like the other stories games. Being reduced graphically too is a no brainer. I am not arguing quality here let's be clear, I am just saying they could have done it. A port of SA or a SA Stories on PSP may very well be garbage, but they could have done it. As far as Test Drive goes, that had a large map, which is also a lot of data to fit on that system, but they managed it. It's like 70% or so of Oahu, even the PSP version. My original point was more about map than gameplay. If you want a game that really puts the PS2 to it's limits, try out the True Crime games, and boy did they suffer for it. Count SA lucky. Now there's no way to fit those on the PSP, SA with cuts but not those two unless you make a drastically different game entirely.
The only way they couldve put San Andreas map with limited PSP hardware would've been to separate the 3 citys of San Andreas with little loading screen just like Vice City Stories separate the 2 islands with poor draw distance and low resolution textures
Leftover files of GTA San Andreas actually prove that R* intended to make mission pack for San Andreas as it allows multiple scms and script.img loaded into the game. There are also unused text files (as seen in GXT Editor) that indicate we would be able to switch between standard San Andreas and different (rumoured mission packs), something that was later used for GTA IV - Episodes of Liberty City where we could pick between original GTA IV and TLaD/TBoGT. It's really interesting but I believe R* was already overwhelmed with amount of work they were carrying out - GTA IV (which development began in November 2004, right after San Andreas release) and VCS, LCS which were released in 2005/2006. At this point I feel team didn't have enough people to work on another 'Stories' title and I believe San Andreas would be more difficult to work on, compared to LCS/VCS, that would also involve another batch of actors, programming, etc. I guess they just wanted to fill the gap between release of San Andreas and GTA IV and gave us two pre-quels regardless. Who knows, maybe in the future there will be some big brain modders who will use the power of AI and develop standalone San Andreas Stories, it won't be the same as if it was made by R* themselves but still better than nothing.
It's already kind of hard to believe that San Andreas runs well on a PS2, getting that entire map to work on a PSP would be a nightmare. Also I personally think the game just being set in Los Santos could've worked. GTA San Andreas takes us all over the state but at it's core it's a story about the Grove Street families. The majority of the important characters and factions in the game are Los Santos based, with the story beginning and ending there. If the game would've been a prequel about the Grove Street families then it honestly makes more sense for the story to be contained to just Los Santos.
This video made me realize the real reason for gta vi release being so important: despite all the money gta v has made, it is (still and always will be) built upon ps3 era game engine.
Now what could’ve been cool is if rockstar did do this concept, but split it into 3 cities. So there’d be Los Santos Stories, San Fierro Stories, and Las Venturas Stories. They should’ve done something like this as a smaller project during the development of GTA VI like they did during GTA IV’s development with the release of GTA Liberty City Stories and GTA Vice City Stories.
That’s could’ve helped make it more easier and self containing on each city. Maybe there’s some small lore and story that occurred before CJ’s return or entering first time of each city.
I was like 10 years old roaming through every game section when i was shopping with mom in hopes to find San Andreas Stories one day but it never came 😢
They only reason was that the Engine they used called RenderWare was bought by EA years prior. They still had old contracts that made them able to use it and that is mostly the reason a SA Stories never came since they didnt botherd with renewing/making new games with that Engine

LSS and VCS were both originally on PSP and set during the 3D Era. A San Andreas Stories on the Vita makes perfect sense considering GTA V (which is set in San Andreas and the HD Era) came out around the same time as the Vita, it was just money just waiting to be made.
I’ve been writing a San Andreas stories for a few weeks now, I have Ryder as the main character, and how he got rapped up in all of this TenPenny and Big Smoke stuff, it starts with him getting in trouble for running over 5 ballas, TenPenny catches him and makes him do almost hitman like jobs, but then in 1992 he is approached by smoke to join him, he is already working for TenPenny but hates Ballas, he thinks about it and joins a little before CJ comes back, CJ coming to the funeral is where it would end, basically it takes place between 1988-1992. And it would be revealed Ryder was the one who ACTUALLY killed the officer we heard about in the beginning of San Andreas
Simple Gta SA is still one most played games 20 years later, hugely popular and revolutionary never had a need a need for another series because SA is enough
Rockstar really blew with remasters (or possibility to make a bit of remake out of it). There was not only a potential to make og games better with improved shooting and animations (maybe using some ragdoll mixed with animations), make things load properly while keeping the fog, and so on. But also there was a chance for another Stories expansion that would use all three maps, set in one world. In terms of visuals a touch up in a way nightdive studio does remasters would be enough - just even out some rough edges, make new but fitting lighting and that's it. What i miss the most is just that while GTA 3 and VC feels a bit lacking in terms of map size and scope, SA is the perfect example of huge map that gives great impression of having even larger scale. At that it's much better than GTA V (still awesome but it feels to condensed with many regions being underdeveloped).
I would have loved a GTA San Andreas Stories. The multiplayer was so fun in LCS and VCS. Guess that’s why a lot of ppl (including me) didn’t get a Sony Vita :/
I think the Introduction movie feels much better after you completed the game, it points out some aspects of the plot while not spoiling too much of it that way.
One thing I wish that rockstar could’ve done is make a comic series showing a more detailed backstory surrounding the ballas l rising in power and the decline of the Families, include a story of how the triads initially didn’t have faith in Wu zi Mu as a leader only for Wu Zi to prove them wrong, the creation of the Loco Syndicate alliance, how Caesar and Kendal first met, and so much more.
Lol, I remember when VCS was released me and my classmates were speculating about San Andreas stories :D I thought the main protagonist would be Sweet, recovering from Brian's death, trying to maintain status as the gang leader, while everyone else thought it's would be about Ryder, because they're dumb
One thing the Stories series did right was offering a point of view from antagonists of the main games. Liberty City Stories focused on the Leone family and Vice City Stories on the Vance Brothers. So it would have been cool to get a San Andreas Stories where you play as either The Ballas or the Loco Syndicate. But The Introduction is great too.
Although a prequel to GTA SA would’ve been cool-I think after the poor reception to VCS and LCS they decided not to do it for business reasons. It was much easier for them to make a mini-movie explaining the prior events that kickstarted San Andreas’s story.
I think there’s a few other things at play here. Piracy on the PSP was rampant. You could even use early copies of LCS to boot in to pirate tools. It wasn’t so bad for LCS because it was an early game and the piracy wasn’t too widespread, but even a year later when VCS came out, everyone knew someone with a modded PSP, and by the time a SAS would be coming out it was trivial to mod many PSP models. Secondly Nintendo (who’s piracy situation at least required a physical cart, making it a lot less widespread) wanted some mature games, so sought out working with R* (and quite possibly offered cash). A “stories” game on the DS was never going to work, but I do think “SAS” could have got on the PSP. The android version of SA unpacks to less than 1.7GB (the max size of a PSP UMD), and could be more optimised for a single platform. I don’t think focus on GTA IV would have been an issue, as Leeds did Chinatown Wars on the DS (which eventually made it to PSP when they’d made their money back in DS sales and Sony promised the platform was more secure with new models… it wasn’t lol) I do think there might have been fatigue inside R* around the 3D era, but had the market forces been right, I believe there would have been people who could make it work, and who would have wanted to continue that legacy a little longer.
If i remember, one of the biggest reasons it wasnt made that LCS but especially VCS didnt make enough money to justify the development cost. The PSP was a niche console, especially by the time of VCS when everyone knew the DS was the dominant winner. Thats why the next portable game was on the DS. At this point, phones can handle the original GTA games so why bither with a new one.
When you brought up the size of the map, it reminded me of just how _empty_ it feels. There's so much nothing in between the cities that it feels bigger than GTA V's map -- in a bad way.
It was planned to be a PS3 exclusive during development. Microsoft then begged and offered wads of cash to R* to make the engine compatible with Windows and X360
@@diablow1411and they screwed over the windows one because it was a terrible port it’s terribly optimized and it has stutters even on high end pcs and it was just bad but my favorite was the 360 one
What I don't understand about that mod is why it's about Brian Johnson, when it doesn't make sense, not only because he was 10, but none of the Johnsons never left Los Santos at all before, before Carl left for Liberty City. One of the only plausible storylines for a "Stories" game starring an existing character would have it be about how a young Mike Toreno became a government agent, and having the game take place from 1967 to 1969, especially since a lot of significant cultural and historic events happened in California and Nevada during those years.
The PSP was a freaking tank for its time. I still have my Star Wars Battlefront PSP from back then and I still boot it up and play games with it now and again. They're great little systems.
A San Andreas Stories game taking place in 1996 to 1997 would have been super dope. Imagine doing a driveby with the Macarena playing in the background 🤣 Plus Rockstar Games could have shown San Fierro undergoing a total transformation and people just flush with cash. Honestly I would have been totally cool with a San Andreas Stories game taking place solely in San Fierro (since it was my favorite part of San Andreas). It made me a bit disappointed that GTA5 didn’t have either San Fierro or Las Venturas, but I guess I understand why they just focused on Los Santos considering how large the map was for GTA5 already.
My idea for San Andreas Stories would be set during the 1970's showing the formation of the Ballas and Grove Street Families and the rise of the Leone family
San Andreas stories should of been the story of how the Ballers took over Los Santos with the main protagonist being a baller who either died or left before the events of San Andreas and that could set up more reasons to why the some things play out a certain way in San Andreas by expanding on certain characters lore and interaction with up and coming ballers, you could even add a few more rival gangs who are non existant by the time CJ comes back because thier leader is one of the main protagonists, you could also have a younger officer Tenpenny who is a bit less corrupt but you see where his motives in the future come from Via him having a brother or cousin who's gang affiliated (maybe the protagonist himself) So many things could be done with that type of storyline, missions for Berkley, the docks could be a business that you can own that transports any car you want to the two showrooms in San Fierro, which you could also own to generate passive income, the game almost writes itself
The Stories series scratched the itch and that was pretty much the idea. San Andreas stories would’ve been better than most AAA titles regardless of size or hype
IMO a perfect excuse they could've used to keep a PSP game local to Los Santos would be to state in the manual that there was an earthquake that's cut the roads off from the rest of the state.
Wait. You didn't heard about GTA San Andreas Stories Mod by SASquad ??? Where the protagonist is Jose. It is very big total conversion Mod. it's like Official Game !!!
I love the stories and plot...but i think its already perfect as it is...what i want is an improve open world game, added new weapons and skills , new enemys and ally's finally useful(improve a.i) , many mini games or so~
I feel like Vice City stories and liberty city stories was made as a more polished version of gta 3 and VC with more up to date (at the time) physics and controls Although San Andreas stories wouldn’t have made sense i would’ve love to seen a GTA game where we play as Ceasar between 1989-1991 showing how the Aztecas operated and more of his character
What if they did something different like gta san Andreas aftermath set in 1995 and you play as Azteca voiced by toker from brownside aka Gilbert Izquierdo ( he's a deceassed rapper) The character would have less morals than cj
Sweet should’ve been the Main character for SA stories. Show us how Sweet became the leader of Grove St and what things were like before CJ went to Liberty.
I honestly felt it would have been better if the "Stories" arc of San Andreas were split in 3 different cities for each story. GTA Las Venturas Stories GTA San Fierro Stories GTA Los Santos Stories That way, we could get interesting stories in 3 different places and every character in San Andreas could shine in each city of their respective stories.
It's because Ryder was supposed to be the main character but MC Eiht had asked them too much money to voice act again, so the project was never made. Rumors say that's also why they cut Ryder's role short in the original gta sa, apparently to save money on the voice actors they told mc eiht it's all they needed him to do when his character's arc wasn't really completed yet.
If San Andreas stories was ever made I’d want it to be about Brian Johnson, his life, his family life, his gang related activities, and ultimately his death
my guess is that they have to separate each cities and they don't know which factions associated with CJ would be assigned to LS, SF, and LV respectively.
Here's my take on it: GTA San Andreas Stories shouldn't be a prequel, it should be a sequel. Maybe we could have Big Bear be the protagonist, with the game beginning after he leaves rehab and cleans himself up. And maybe ot could focus on him rejoining the Grove and doing missions for Sweet or CJ, and show how the Grove street gang has gotten stronger over time, as well as the general aftermath of San Andreas.
Game takes place in 92'. If you take a look at what was going on at that time was the L.A Riots, and the rise of "Gangsta Rap" or "Reality Rap". What else can could you really prequel the game too?
I'm not too sure if San Andreas' map size would've been impossible to fit on PSP hardware, considering they managed to port Test Drive Unlimited along with it's 1:1 scale of Oahu Island
GTA: SAS should have been made and i hope someday it is. For a while now I've hoped that we get to play as Big Smoke as he's slowly coaxed into working with Tenpenny and CRASH and how his allegience to Groove Street changes and sets up the attempt to kill Sweet but accidentally causes Leonora Johnson's death, along the way causing the problems that CJ will later clean up for him, e.g Russian Mafia in Just Business,Vagos ambush in Wrong Side Of The Tracks,How Smoke and Ryder got their hands on a Green Sabre etc, there's a lot of stuff surrounding Smoke and Ryder that's not explained in the main game.
Rockstar (North) began production of GTA IV in 04-05 following San Andreas. The team grew, and crunch culture really wore staff out. Think about it-RDR, GTA IV, MNC LA production and all within months to a year of each other. Criterion bought the rights to the engine anyways, so that’s where we end up with RAGE
Gta San Andreas stories would've been also weird to make, because San Andreas is the biggest and most fleshed out of the bunch in the 3D universe. Wouldn't be much purpose
Actually, in my personal opinion, from the Introduction up to the Green Sabre, thats the STORIES and the GTA San Andreas Proper officially starts when CJ was sent out of nowhere at the foot of Mt Chiliad cauz He almost lost everything and the gang territories you've ruled of you completed those violet to green, you'll lose of all that and evem your weapons as well

You don't understand.
@@VitZ9😢😢 damn
If it's any consolation, those other games are pretty freakin' great that they've made.
One thing I took away from this video is how insane it is that most current generation games STILL struggle to get to 60 fps

-The splintering and rivalry between the Grove, Temple and Seville Families
Such a crying shame they never created San Andreas Stories. They could've created it and released it in 2007, that way they could've had three GTA games debuted in a row, and a fourth one in 2008 (GTA 4). I would've loved to imagine playing as either Sweet, Cesar, Woozie, or CJ and Sweet's deceased brother Brian as the protagonist if the story had taken place in 1990, two years before the events of GTA San Andreas.
But alas, it's only wishful thinking...
Brian was 10 years old when he died, there's no way he would be the MC.

Adding to an already bloated story, in a loose prequel way doesn't seem like a good idea.
why psp?
@@jmgonzales7701 Because the Stories games were made as PSP games first and foremost.
if the game struggled on the PS2, then there is no way they could port it to PSP.
also, the maps in GTA are dense and meant to be explored by foot not just a stretch of long road with random buildings on the side
Nowadaysa game like Genshin Impact takes more space than Gta 5 lmao
Brian Johnson (CJ's brother) should be the protagonist of San Andreas Stories.
Na he was only 10
This video made me realize the real reason for gta vi release being so important: despite all the money gta v has made, it is (still and always will be) built upon ps3 era game engine.
The only thing I think I would've liked would've been if SA:Stories was about Tenpenny, his rise to power, and then his decent into corruption.
I think the game was TOO BIG in the first place. And they pumped a lot into it. It would've been difficult to make and a high standard to live up to.
Maybe there’s some small lore and story that occurred before CJ’s return or entering first time of each city.
uh, how exactly would they separate the maps?

For me personally, GTA Vice City Stories 🦩was my most favorite out of all the series
wow great video man
thrilled to watch more things from you
Im glad I found this video because I was anticipating a San andreas stories and then it never came. I've been curious forever
I don’t think focus on GTA IV would have been an issue, as Leeds did Chinatown Wars on the DS (which eventually made it to PSP when they’d made their money back in DS sales and Sony promised the platform was more secure with new models… it wasn’t lol)
I do think there might have been fatigue inside R* around the 3D era, but had the market forces been right, I believe there would have been people who could make it work, and who would have wanted to continue that legacy a little longer.
Because they wanted Ryder as the protagonist but MC Eiht was busy with other projects at the time
I remember years ago before GTA 5 but after some of its artwork was leaked, there were rumours that 5 was actually going to be SA stories lol

Uh why did you do that..? 3:51
That’s what I’m saying 😂
The phone calls Tenpenny had were with Big Smoke, telling him to kill Sweet.
My idea for San Andreas Stories would be set during the 1970's showing the formation of the Ballas and Grove Street Families and the rise of the Leone family
I wish studios would keep adding content to old games. Assuming it remains relevant, and profitable. I know there's a rare few.
San Andreas stories should of been the story of how the Ballers took over Los Santos with the main protagonist being a baller who either died or left before the events of San Andreas and that could set up more reasons to why the some things play out a certain way in San Andreas by expanding on certain characters lore and interaction with up and coming ballers,
you could even add a few more rival gangs who are non existant by the time CJ comes back because thier leader is one of the main protagonists, you could also have a younger officer Tenpenny who is a bit less corrupt but you see where his motives in the future come from Via him having a brother or cousin who's gang affiliated (maybe the protagonist himself)
So many things could be done with that type of storyline, missions for Berkley, the docks could be a business that you can own that transports any car you want to the two showrooms in San Fierro, which you could also own to generate passive income, the game almost writes itself
ah mann... i wish they made that game. because that 3D universe to make San Andreas Stories would be take another 2 years for make it.

That way, we could get interesting stories in 3 different places and every character in San Andreas could shine in each city of their respective stories.
I think 1 where you play as big bear before he became a addict would've been cool.
Stop it. Why you post wrong informations? No source
If San Andreas stories was ever made I’d want it to be about Brian Johnson, his life, his family life, his gang related activities, and ultimately his death
my guess is that they have to separate each cities and they don't know which factions associated with CJ would be assigned to LS, SF, and LV respectively.
San Andreas is a masterpiece in the gta lineup with the best map in the series as it’s very diverse
Easy, because rockstar was mainly focused on making manhunt 2
simple, people act like there where no games between SA & GTAIV anyway, which is annoying
6:29 PS3 exclusive? Lol, GTA IV was announced on xbox earlier😀
Actually, in my personal opinion, from the Introduction up to the Green Sabre, thats the STORIES and the GTA San Andreas Proper officially starts when CJ was sent out of nowhere at the foot of Mt Chiliad cauz He almost lost everything and the gang territories you've ruled of you completed those violet to green, you'll lose of all that and evem your weapons as well
I would like to see something more about the San Andreas universe .. big smoke prequel.. groove street and ballas mafias prequel..
