Super helpful Matthew! Love that Whalesync works with Wordpress now. I can't tell you the number of clients that this will help. Looking forward to future connections!
What kind of post or page did you create in wordpress at the 15 min mark, and how did you then push out the whole table to create x amount of new pages from the data?
Hi! So the page type is a custom post type created in ACF (~5:30 mark). In terms of pushing out the whole table, that's what Whalesync handles. Once you turn sync on in Whalesync (~9:20 mark), it will create a page in WordPress for every row in the Airtable table.
Very nice tutorial and clearly explained how to do programmatic SEO in wordpress. One question if I may: is there a way to do it without elementor and whalesync?
Great explanation of programatic SEO showing Grubhub as the example! Super sweet, simple, and to the point. Will have to use that for explaining in the future! Also congrats on the WordPress integration! Have loved using Whalesync with Webflow for this sorta thing 🔥
Omg this is the best tutorial I’ve seen in a long time!! So clear consists and valuable. I’ve actually been doing my “programmatic” seo pages manually lol meaning I have an Elementor template and just populate the fields within the WP admin dashboard. So my question- can I migrate or sync the existing custom data I have into airtable using whale sync tool? Also can I update either source (airtable or wp) and the data in the other platform will update? Can’t wait for more videos on this! Thanks I’m advance for your time
Thanks so much for the kind words Samantha! And yes, you can absolutely start with data in WordPress and migrate it into Airtable. With our 2-way sync, from there on out you can make updates in either WordPress or Airtable and it will sync to the other.
@@whalesync Ok understood, but you're using fresh WordPress. But let's say, I have an existing WordPress website with a lot of old posts already. I created fields using the ACF plugin and built a template page using Elementor. After that, I tried to use Whalesync, but all my old posts and content were replaced with the template page that I built for syncing. Do you know how to keep old posts as is and sync only for new posts based on ACF fields? Please let me know your thoughts, thanks.
But the content quality of these pages will be low and therefore wont rank as good as other pages. Also Google knows that the content is AI generated, another possible damaging SEO factor that you add to the website. So is it helpful after all? Do you have any analyitcs data that prooves this concept? And even if, I feel google will crack down on it very soon, what do you think?
Great question! - The content quality can be low if this is not done well. The key here is to target keywords that are bottom of the funnel (BOFU) -> more on that here: www.whalesync.com/blog/programmatic-seo-the-ultimate-guide-in-2023). The TL;DR is that if users are searching to find a solution, then you can provide high-quality pages even if they don't have a ton of content. If users are searching for information rather than solutions, pSEO doesn't work as well. - Yes Google will be able to detect if the content is written by AI, but they've come out and said they don't mind if content is AI-written as long as it's high-quality. AI-written content can be high-quality but takes effort. - In terms of craking down, Google doesn't have anything against pSEO as long as it's providing users what they want. Many companies like Zapier, TripAdvisor, Canva, etc. have built and continue to build massive demand thru their pSEO pages because they do a great job of them. - In terms of analytics, we have a bunch of case studies here with stats on their success :) www.whalesync.com/showcase

Images are a bit annoying with WordPress since they live in a standalone "Media" table. Here's our docs on how to add images: docs.whalesync.com/connectors/wordpress.org/how-to-sync-images
Webflow is generally easier for setting up syncing. They have custom pages out of the box (instead of needing to install ACF) and fully support media whereas WordPress’ API only partially supports it.
Hi, (tbis is Shellys husband not Shelly). I was wondering if you knew how to do this with meta title, meta description and Title tags? Sevondly, to Google, are these separate pages being built out and ranked/indexed?
Hi! Yes, you would follow the same process for meta title, meta description, and title tags. Basically any field you can control in WordPress, you could sync with Airtable and manage from there. To Google, these are all separate pages being built out to be ranked and indexed.

Do you prefer wordpress over WebFlow?

It can be done with MPG or WP All Import. The downside is that you don't have the continuous syncing.

Thanks so much! Glad the Grubhub example resonated. They do a great job of pSEO.

For 249 USD / month there is no wordpress ?
