I love the art style! You really do have to give this season a chance to grow on you. I was put off by the initial episodes, especially coming off XY, but ended up absolutely loving it.
Meltan weeping in joy was something I didn't know my life was desperately lacking. Like, wow, how did they made a tiny blob with an even tinier blob for a head/eye as expressive as that?? And every moment when Rowlet was panicking was hilarious 😂
One of my favorite things about the Pokemon anime is seeing how the Pokemon interact with each other without human intervention. Especially when they form a bond.
It's very nice and kinda funny,cause meltan saw rowlet as a protective big brother,and when meltan evolved into melmetal,rowlet's the one who saw it as a big brother.
THIS ONE EPISODE SET FORTH A LEGACY OF MEMES AMONGST AN ALREADY MEMED TO THE SKIES POKÉMON THAT THEY WERE ALREADY ABSOLUTELY AWARE OF!!! 🤣 The amount of sheer anime and animation and meme references in this ONE SEGMENT OF A SINGLE EPISODE OF THE AT THE TIME MOST CONTROVERSIAL SERIES IN THE POKÉMON ANIME was just incredible. To clarify they did a LOT of references to other media especially Manga and Anime in the Alola Pokemon Anime. But also how well everything here was placed together and just immediately universally agreed on by all of us. We're not talking about this, or thiiiiis, we're talking THIIIIISS, Gameboy GameFreak Rowlet, YEET, Natu Rowlet, Finn Scream Rowlet, Hoothoot Rowlet, Concerned Rowlet, Melty Borb Rowlet, Xatu Rowlet, GOSH I LOVE MY MELTSMBORINE, Jojo Rowlet, and ever since then so many more.😅

What makes this even better is that when meltan evolves there is a hole that rowlet fits perfectly into!
