Circus World was my favourite section of the park. When I was a child, I used to run to Circus World, every time we visited Chessington World of Adventures in the school holidays. I remember being sad, when they closed the area off in 1995, but the circus itself remained in Chessington until 1998.
Wow amazing footage! Especially of Fifth Dimension and the Black Forest Chateau! I would have visited the park with my family for the first time around 91/92 but don’t remember it as I was a toddler, so this is great to see how the park has changed. It’s a great park today but I feel it has something extra special back then. Very professionally shot video and a wonderful look back in time, thank you!
Same here, that year was probably my first year. I definitely remember my sister going on the vampire ride, I was too young. Great feeling watching this. Think I’ll visit this year.
Thank you for posting this, watching this video in 2023 really brings back how fun Chessington was thirty years ago. 1991….such a different world altogether, this was the year my family and I first went to Chessington, we went every year until 2004. I’d forgotten that there was a picnic area! That went in the mid 90s i think. nothing like being a kid in the 90s and early 2000s
Amazing took me back to my childhood ! who would think that all those years later I would be doing my own Vlogs from there I still miss Professor Berps still have not got over the change of the branding to imperial Leather but at leasd it kept it going a few more years
This is the chessington i remember and loved. We went every year. Remember going on rhe vampire the first year it opened and it still looking like a building site underneath 😂😂. Also loved the juggler and the magic carpet
Dont know if anyone gives a damn but if you guys are stoned like me atm you can stream all of the latest movies on instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my gf recently :)
Yeah it’s not as good now unfortunately. The 90’s was amazing at Chessington. Most of the best rides are gone now, with the exception of the Vampire ride
Chessington has changed so much since this I miss the old chessington and the way it used to be once they got rid of bubble works and started to basically make some of the park boring got rid of the McDonald’s changed it to wildwoods it’s just not the same!
Ah I miss those days, I would've been 11 in 1991. I think the park started going downhill as soon as they started adding "Sponsored by XXX" and "Presented by XXX" to all the popular rides. It started to become more and more commercialized, especially when they neglected Professor burps and so many animatronics started to break down and were never fixed The last time I went back in the mid 90's they'd removed that gorgeous sweet smell from the ride and soon after it became the stupid soap bubble ride sponsored by that soap company All the magic was gone from that point for me. Even as a kid and later a teenager, I couldn't fathom why they would neglect much loved rides like that despite charging astronomical prices for the park fee, not to mention the food/drink prices. Typical greed.
Hello There, it looks completely and totally different in comparison to Modern day, I suppose it was the early years of the Theme Park itself. Cheers Peter
They really let Dragon Falls go. Why did they get rid of all the rockwork under the support structure, and the faces either side of the drop? It looks awful now :(
I found it sort of unsettling. I think the cars would stop at certain points to play out an Animatronic scene. I remember being at the back and keeping wondering what was behind me in the dark lol. But it's years ago so it's a bit vague now

Old chessignton was so much better and more magical

I was so pissed when they took all of the adult rides to Thorpe park. Old chessington was such a sick day out as a kid.
@@samgilbert1880 just go Thorpe park what’s the difference
We were kids of course it was
It's not the same without Skyway Safari and Bubbleworks
