Always worth a couple of quid in NH races over c3m. Some horses simply don’t stay the trip. Wigglesworth is a one paced out and out stayer.
Sam reminds me a lot of AP who never gave up until the finish line no matter how far back. That's why he was the GOAT 🏇#️⃣1️⃣

Easy to forget about twiston Davies after losing the Nicholls main rider job but he is stil pure class , very strong in the finish and a classic case of jockey winning the race not the horse , top notch !!!
Couldn't agree more, he is one of the strongest jockeys around, I know who I would want on my horse in a tight finish between him and Harry Cobden, Nicholls is notoriously hard on his jockeys and he obviously said too many things he shouldn't have because as you said the man is pure class and he will never be short of rides anywhere inc all the big races.
Sam did not lose the job, he decided to leave himself and go freelance and Paul Nicholls said at the time he would still use him whenever he could, and his King George and Punchestown Gold Cup wins on Clan Des Obeaux have shown that.
1000/1 seems generous,it never really lost touch with first three.

I swear horse racing in general knows when I’m betting 😂 I lay big down on a fav and they lose, and so I bet on an outsider and they lose to the fav 😆 the torment of horse racing! Had some lovely big winners in my time tho. Nothing like this.

It's nearly Impossible to lay odds in running, everytime you try place the bet the betting gets suspended constantly. It's only a window of a few seconds you have to take BIR odds... especially coming to the last couple of fences.
You cant unless you guess right because your about 2 seconds behind even with fast pics. The only way to win money in play is by being a track player and having 3 second lead over everyone else and also having the best software. Even then the exchange charges 60% of your profits so its an utter waste of time. Trust me... you aint allowed to win never was it was always a con that you could. Nowadays they even treat like a 5 year old for the priveledge of being fleeced to boot. Enjoy!.
Sadly, he could only manage 1 place in his next 7 races and died away from the track in May.
It's always concerning when you see a horse has died "at home" after a number of poor runs and can't find any online tributes from connections.

@@darrensmith4279 It was certainly not perfect by Skelton. The top jockeys win on that horse. In fact, i don't think Skelton wins on Wigglesworth. Usually think jockeys matter very little but in this race they made all the difference to my eye.

@@darrensmith4279 The real top jockeys win the top races. They aren't concerned with the racing at Sedgefield or Exeter. How does Skelton do at the big meetings? He's a fine jockey but not a top jockey. He'd struggle in Ireland

It started at 7-1. It hit 1000-1 in the inplay market because it looked dead and buried.

Maybe some bookies may offer those odds, but bet in running is max around 200/1 to 250/1.. they stopped offering anything higher, they will keep those selections suspended if it looks to have no chance at all till it emerges again with some sort of chance.
I had few high odds in running selection, even with the 40/1 SP winner yesterday, though in near last place, looked to be travelling the best.. so did a stake in running at 20/1, then at 11/1. Another selection I did tried to make it all clear by around 20 lengths 7/4 in running, i thought it may fade, but did a stake at 7/4, as soon as i did, it struggled and went 150/1.. finished midfield.
What about berfair exchange 🤔 1000/1 is very common odds betting in running
@@Tipofthecaptomelady I did have Betfair exchange account, but its been a while, so i cannot tell you for sure, but it is one of the firm that is more than likely to offer these odds still. The highest odds offered by a firm _that i personally know of_ was 4000/1 for Tony McCoy to remount and win, when all runners fell..where a punter placed £2 - £4 and won.. obviously remounting is no longer allowed now.
I am sure most of mainstream sports firm no longer offer more 250/1, but this also protects punters from staking on selections that has near to no chance at all of winning. Betfair is more than likely to offer odds on all as they are known for offering such exchanges.

Check out Chautauqua in Australia, 2017 TJ Smith for a really good 1000-1, I think actually got to 3000-1 at the 400m mark
Chautauqua was known for flopping out before unleashing his devastating turn-of-foot. His 2017 win was outstanding but zero chance he was 100-1 in running let alone 1000 or 3000.

Why 1000/1? Whoever posted them live odds probably was fired and shot. It was 4 horses clear and the top 3 were all front runners in a distant race. I wouldn't have thought the 1000/1 would've won, but definitely could see dropping 10 bucks on it to get a $10,000+ payday.
No horse should ever priced as a 1000-1 underdog in this type of race. That tells me the betting public in the UK is terrible.

See 1000 in every horse race.. It's inrunning betting not betting odds before they race.. So for example if a horse is 20 lengths back with a furlong to go it will be 1000/1.
