Thanks, that explanation of inputs and mixers was cool just listening to it. Then I decided hey why not actually do it on the radio to establish the new information and I made one 3 way switch change every aert to 100%, 80%, and 60% which is going to be really helpful switching between different sims and maps, plus I’m trying to drag some of my church friends into FPV so this will be helpful in getting them a taste on the sims. The church hall has so many lines for mini whoops when we fly for real
Gooood Morning Yall!! Also thank you for putting so much work into your videos! I remember building a tyro 119 with you so long ago and still have it!!!
Thanks alot for clarifying Im using a zorro on a M1 evo helicopter and was wondering how to modifiy the preset dual rates i had, this made everything so much easier when you can understand things.
Thanks for the walkthrough! I can program code but I find the radios to be very confusing to set up :D One thing that would be nice is if you could cover the EdgeTX companion app a little.
I haven't done this hobby for over 40 years. Just getting back into it. I did the update firmware.v2.10.5 I don't understand how to bind to my airplane because there is no more bind button compared to. 2.7.1 Somebody told me I need to go into my firmware folder and install somehow 4-1 1.3.4.0 multi-protocol
The 1-6 buttons are just another physical control that you can map to an input or mixer, same as any switch, button, or knob. There is nothing special about them on most radios. On Jumper radios, there are some special options though.
Thank you for the reply sir. Ive not ever looked into using them. Never paid attention to if they were even an option to change when setting things up. Thank you for all the info you provide. It's made me a drone addict now. Lol@JoshuaBardwell
In one of your videos I heard you mention routing the rates so they can be adjusted in the dji 2 goggles, do you have a video on that? Can I use an aux button to swap rates on the dji RC 2?
Is it not possible to put 2 rate profiles in betaflight, and just have a switch change from slow profile to stunts profile? This demonstration seems like i only have 1 profile and then make that slower? What if i wanted throttle expo on my slow rates, and not the stunts rates?
Awesome, I will try that! I don't know about planes or cars (or flight controllers), but now I know that I can do what I would like in betaflight. I will try to configure my RM Pocket so turning the wheel on top to the left, will apply slow rates and play an audio clip with Samuel Jackson "let's slow it waaay down". Turning the wheel right should switch to faster rates and play Snoop Dog "Fly it like you stole it". I hope I can make it work.
Is there a way to set a rate curve that follows my slower racing rates for 99% of the stick travel, but then goes to a much faster rate for snap rolls only at full stick deflection?
@@JoshuaBardwellcan I mix 6s 1850kv motors and 4s 2650kv motors together cause that's all I have and really want to get a quad working and would be on 4s batteries just can't afford to buy motors right now please help
@@JoshuaBardwell please forgive my stupidity, but I still can’t find what I’m describing in that rate video. With expo all the way up, you were following the slower rate curve for about 60% of stick travel. I want my exact rates for 99% of travel, with only the smallest notch at the end of stick travel to go to a designated higher rate.
I have a question it may not be related to this, but I got my meteor 65 rx updated, and my tx12 I got it to bind but when I put it on my regular modes and receiver settings it shows a lot of errors, rxloss, Dshot and Telem in the CLI. I don’t know what to do. I updated it to 4.5 to. And it’s still running its stock beta flight tune and configuration.
Joshua is a gifted communicator. It is astounding.
On Mixes: The last line goes through. On Inputs, the first line goes through. Ah yes, user friendly and intuitive stuff. Dangit! haha
Joshua thanks for keeping this hobby enjoyable 😉.

Thank you for part 5 of this edging guide JB!

I’m now an edging pro thanks to Bardwell🫶🏼

Good morning pilots!!
This is an excellent series. I learned something today!
Thank you so much, please stay with us, forever : )
This will be really useful for tweaking the min throttle on a nitro plane I've been working on

Hey Josh
Can you do a review of the upgrade energy lithium ion batteries?
Good afternoon
Will you be getting to the modes line in the mixes section? Or have i missed it. And what about the 1-6 buttons? They're never mentioned or used.

You could do it in BetaFlight. What about an airplane or car that doesn't have a flight controller?

Yes but it'd be better to do this inside BetaFlight.
Do you have a video that shows how to do this? I’ve tried high rates with lots of expo, but can’t get it to feel how I want.

This 5th video is not included into edgeTX playlist.
Fixed. Thanks.
