Not to mention during his turns- I'm pretty sure I saw that horse hit its head on the fence a couple times. I would be more impressed if they weren't blinded by the fact this was a contest and paid some mind to the horse. Beautiful horses, awesome maneuvers, and exciting speed- but I didn't see much horsemanship. They kept looking over at each other like at 1:52. :P
I know absolutely nothing about western riding, but the way that the dun (stallion?) stops from that speed is both beautiful and incredibly impressive!
what a lovely sweet tempered buckskin...aww so sad he had to be jerked around so hard ...he did his best for the rider the whole time what a super nice gelding!
He has a name, ya know, its Bill Cameron, and Bill loved that stallion with ALL his heart, he had a nickname for that stud, Bucky, and after Bucky DIED OFA HEART ATTACK while breeding to a mare. Bucky died in Bills arms!!! When the mare had his foal, Bill nicknamed HIM Baby Bucky! So, you meant that Bill did not love Bucky, he did, he still does.
ever heard of leg aids?? They were all about the reins and didnt use their legs at all. then when the guy in the blue just dropped down on the horses back... just that killed me.
Are you kidding me? I thought these guys were supposed to be good. All I see is reins reins reins. Don't get me wrong here, I'm a western rider myself, but I am not impressed by this at all.
What a pretty buckskin I think he was really tired might have contributed to why he lost I ❤ riding bareback SOO much fun! I would go shooting round the arena I adore riding and horses their my passion ❤ love barrel poles too

I do not see why yall are complaining so much. These men have not just thrown their horses into this competition. They have trained for years on end as a man and horse team. I did see both leg and reign aids. True they are breathing hard but have you seen horses after an intense cattle competition? What about a steeple chase? These horses bodies have been conditioned for this and I am sure they had a cool down afterwards.
Crappy sloppy bouncy riding! Not impressed at all. Horses looked in pain most of the time. Hard landings on front end. Hand jerking reins for stops. Just because its a speed event does not make it OK to jerk horses to a stop or yank around to turn. Sorry.
i hate that the horses have to be in such a loud place full of squealing people ...yuck ! just beautiful how that heavy rider stood on the fence and plonked down on its back ... how nice NOT ! really beautiful horses , but i think they didnt enjoy that at all
All of you need to get over it theses horses r used to doing this if they weren't they would not be happy and everything they do the horses would get upset about it
did you know that if you work your horse extremely hard and you remove the saddle without a cool down your horses heart can rupture!! iv seen it all to often at the local events....plus i saw 0 % praise for the horses, its the horses that do all the work! give them some well earned credit!
It looks like the buckskin is limbing a little on the left hindleg in the end, also it breathes very hard. I know they just had a race but the horse shouldn't breathe that hard :(
How is being swayback "bad for their health"? I have a swayback horse. The only problem I have had with that is finding a pad that works to fill in the gap. He is sound as could be. Just because a horse has swayback doesn't mean it is in pain, but it depends on the horse and its condition. As long as the horse has a well-fitting saddle and appropriate padding they can be ridden sway backed with no problem!
yeah its not the greatest thing , but those horses go back to a nice clean stall with clean water and lots of hay and a nice bath and groom and all bandaged up. so i think it makes up for the scremaing and pulling and plopping
All of those with negative comments are just hiding behind a computer and keyboard. None of you are horseman -horsewoman enough to ride like that. You just wish you could
you don't know if they ride or not, just because they do not share your way of doing things does not mean they do not ride. I grew up riding, always bareback, but I was light and even then did not fall down on the horse's back. Horses backs are not made of steal, you see that poor horse's back give when that over weight guy came down on his poor back. part of the a riders responsibility is to be knowledgeable about the horse, and also to be a fit rider, at least be fit if you are going to expect your horse to compete.
Not particularly incredible to me... just two out of shape dudes doing poorly executed movements and causing their horses alot of pain. It sounds like the announcer needs a smoke break, five at a time. Sounds like COPD not EXCA!
I love how they just throw their saddles to the ground. You can tell they have no appreciation for anything what so ever. If something breaks, you can just..buy a new one.
For all you guys complaining, at least this is way better then the fking rodeo! No animals were harmed doing this. Id rather see this kind of thing then what goes on at the rodeo.
Shame and dubble-shame to treat horses like this. This is a way to make a presentation of whom you are. Om not intrested and this is NOT sport!!! I know that Bill makes clinics in Sweden In talk with himmelsbodavägen and Will be there when he show up text time. Also I Will Tell People not to take part of his training. Sade to see:-!

Love this~~~ My heart is still racing~~~ Great Job
Those horses were like WTF is this?!
At 2:30 I am the girl standing up in the bleachers with the two blue balloons. Lol. I was in six grade and ran in that race earlier that morning. XD
I was looking for some sort of affection to the horses.. but nothing.

Yeah, you re one to know about horses lol. Bill loved that horse with all his heart. And he didn't jerk him around lol
what fun everyone was having! craig cameron knows his stuff!
You mean...
Bill Cameron?

Probably because you ride a different way than them. Or maybe its because you know they both are better than you😁
What a pretty buckskin I think he was really tired might have contributed to why he lost I ❤ riding bareback SOO much fun! I would go shooting round the arena I adore riding and horses their my passion ❤ love barrel poles too
to everyone - if you and your horses can do this....THEN you have permission to talk otherwise you really dont have a foot to stand on.

That looks like soo much FUN!!!!

VICKIE VOELZ just shut up and learn to actually ride than being a little sissy
And the horse gets not one stroke or reward.....

It totally possible to give verbal affection and I surely hope that the two highest rated posters know this.

The stallion did not have a bit in his mouth...he is wearing a hackamore.
believe it or not , most western rodeo riders take better care of their horses than race horse owners do :)
Hahah
That horse just wasn't going fast enough FYI I'm not being rude!
I want to do this... Oh wait, Never mind, I'm too old for this.
At my age, I'm pretty sure the doctors would shoot me if I broke something.

Guys, seriously? Stop freaking out on them. The horses are used to this. Just chill.

WOW!!! The best I have seen yet! 5 stars =====
If you guys have ever met Bill, you will know that he likes to be considered horseman, not trainer. Bill deserved to win, Lee Hart cheated.
They took forever to get the tack off:p
Not particularly incredible to me... just two out of shape dudes doing poorly executed movements and causing their horses alot of pain.

This is kinda sad
Nice if both horses were shown, not much of a race otherwise.
how is this Abusive??
seems fun :)
most horses would be used to this
Horses did all the work...what are the guys breathing so hard for?
All I can do is laugh at your comment
The horses walk, trot, canter, gallop, jump etc, but it’s the rider that can make the horse do all that
His poor mouth..
Pretty awful.
I love how they just throw their saddles to the ground. You can tell they have no appreciation for anything what so ever. If something breaks, you can just..buy a new one.
Lol ur funny
HEY HAVE YOU ALL SEE HOW BAD THE BACK OF THE BUCKSKIN IS?? HE HAS A SWAYBACK!!! AND THAT'S NOT GOOD FOR HIS HEALTH!! AND THE OTHER IS NOT BETTER!!
Sway back isn't 'bad for its health' lol
For all you guys complaining, at least this is way better then the fking rodeo! No animals were harmed doing this. Id rather see this kind of thing then what goes on at the rodeo.
I 100% agree with you!!
No, if your working your horse THAT hard and they are USED to it, that's abusive..

What did Bill even do wrong?
Real stupid sport. Poor horse. But the cowboys are all about the money, not the horse. Animal abuse,,,
No, if your working your horse THAT hard and they are USED to it, that's abusive..
How may I ask?
