At 60 - 80 hp it's the spiciest bike I've ever ridden. You and your wife seem like good riders and good people. Thanks for doing these videos.
i hope stark future sees this video. everything you said is so valid!!! but they are brilliant, i know the next model of the stark will blow people's minds!! #starkfuture #stark #starkvarg
I’m strongly considering getting one 🤔 I love my 350 as well but after doing a demo they added such a new riding experience that it brought back some excitement 😊
@ I hit the track like twice a year and every other weekend I do some really knarly off road. But with having a family at home I like to ride a hard 2 hours then go home lol. You can see what I ride on my channel and see what you think 🤷🏼
I bought mine a few weeks ago. Didn't know they were coming out with an enduro model. Not sure I could have waited until March to get one either though. Mine isn't a replacement for my gasser, but its still a lot of fun. The range anxiety gets me, and I'm learning the ranges per riding types. I'm still happy with my purchase and I'm hoping some of the parts from the EX will swap out as well.
@@ShanePinney I was more talking about being able to upgrade my MX version to the new 7.2kwh battery for that added range. Both bikes look identical, but you just never know. I asked stark about it, but they are just giving the boxed, "as of right now the parts are just for the EX model." So if you do decide to upgrade to the EX for your situation, can you let us know if things swap out?
No pipes to replace, no mixing gas, no air filters to clean, no radiator guards to buy, no radiator fluid, no spark arrestors, no crazy wiring harness, no jetting, list goes on. Lets be honest, racing is hard on bikes whether its electric or gas. Cant wait to see what stark does with the enduro version. They could make a smaller motor with a max hp of 48 and increase the battery size. There are new molicell batteries that have 25% more power for less weight that will fit into the same size form factor of the existing battery. The future is bright.
A battery and motor to need replacing is bad…… That would be like replacing a motor and transmission on a gas bike. Also, every single consumable and mount on this bike has needed replaced due to stock not being durable……..
@@sarahdell4042 yeah, it's certainly a consumable, but these things are very burly , can probably handle more knocks than an ICE can before catastrophic failure
@ ICE motors have covers over the stator and clutch cover. On the stark you’re bashing the battery. I ride hard enduro, and my bike gets dropped probably 20x with each ride.
I have a stark with only about six hours on it and so far I have no complaints i’ve only crashed it once but in that crash, I ended up breaking the subframe and having to buy all new plastics, but I will say switching the subframe was very easy
I'm a fairly fast rider, owned a street legal 2018 Alta MXR for 3 years. Put 250 hours on it. Crashed it at least 100 times, a few of them hard. In all that time I never had ONE SINGLE ISSUE. Literally nothing. Same chain, sprockets, etc...Not one mechanical part broke, never serviced the suspension, no fork leaks. The ONLY things I did to it were change brake pads once and the gear oil twice. That thing ran like a champ. Fast as heck, nimble as can be. Looked brand new still when I sold it last month. Only reason I sold it was I wasn't getting the range I was getting early on. So I decided to buy a Stark. So far I feel like I'm regretting it. I'm hearing nothing but nightmare stories about these bikes, eveyrone's seems to be breaking in 10 different ways. Afer a couple rides on the Stark I was dismayed to find that it does not handle as well as the Alta does and it's VERY HARD to loft the front wheel. My Alta woudl loft the front wheel in the lowest power mode no problem. Not this stark, you have to yank hard. I also kill the battery in the sandy woods in 35-40 minutes, like 13-15 miles. That was a major disapointment. All this talk about guys getting 30 miles and hours of riding. yeah right. No offense but you all must be kinda slow.
Shane Pinney, HAVE YOU SEEN THE NEW STARK VARG EX??? I used to live and ride back east on the KT/TN line. Now living the single tack life out west. I bought a '24 KTM 350 xcf this summer. Could not be more dissapointed. I dropped $1500 on suspension before two different suspension shops told me that essentially, the chassis is garbage, and the fork is for C riders and below, not to mention that the fork is 10mm too short. The new spring fork is super plush but lacks hold-up until it hits the ridiculously large bottoming cones which render the bottom 1.5" of travel completely un-useable. I am going back to a 2019-2022 gen KTM 350 and investing in engine work and a KYB conversion. But now considering getting the Varg EX as it appears they may have addressed range and perhaps some other shortcomings.
I’ve had a 21 350xcf with kyb converted and it was outstanding. The new chassis seems to be more for pros. I have some friends that have to modify the frame and engine mounts to soften it up
@@ShanePinney I had a 2019 with Ohlins and R&D throttle body setup. Everyone knows at this point that the 2023 & 2024 chassis was a huge screw up by KTM, hence why the pro teams were cutting reliefs into the headstay and shock tower and why that frame was only produced 2 years. See the JBI suspension video regarding the 2023 & 24 KTM frames. The 2025 chassis went a long way to fix this. The 2023 & 2024 had a laundry list of problems both with engine and chassis.

Highway speeds is actually probably going to be some of the worst range you can get on one of these things. With 55mph speeds you’d probably be around 30 miles of range on the mx.
