Saw them in London last night - feeling very lucky. Whole evening a glorious celebration of music, love, respect for others. Seeing them again 25th June at Hampton Court; beg, borrow or buy a ticket - you'll have a fantastic evening.
The aaaahs threw me. I thought, "that doesn't sound like Nick or Hessie", then I saw Tim :) Beautiful version of a lovely song. Everyone was on top form.
This might be the best of all live versions captured. I remember that night, was watching TV at the time, shocked (and pleased) to see brother Tim up there (he was great).
They're SUCH a GIFTED Team of minstrels but their #Songwriting is #SIMPLY #AWESOME Thank You CROIWDED HOUSE for SO MANY GR8 SONGS and hope that you'll be Touring Again soon, as you're MAGICAL Live! #Mahalo & Mucho Gracios
😱..Ahhhhh!!!! Don’t ever compare those 2 again, pleeeease??! These guys don’t even come close as far as harmonizing 😥... 😂.. I’m playin with ya. EVERYone has differences. But apart from each other, I DO love this. How could you not? Especially with such deep, emotionally written lyrics. ☺️
The finger of blame has turned upon itself And I'm more than willing to offer myself Do you want my presence or need my help? Who knows where that might lead...
@@georgegeysen6499 Tim's not singing the lead vocal harmony. Nick Seymour (bass) and Paul Hester (drums) are on that. Tim and the piano player (whom I can't identify) are singing the "ahhh" part of the chorus.
I’ve looked around a little bit on TH-cam.. and haven’t had any luck finding that 😕 I’d LOVE to hear JUST Neil and his guitar/ acoustic version! Do you, by chance have a link (on TH-cam.. or not, I guess).. of him performing in that setting? I’d lovvve you forEVER! ‘n EVER.. ??! 😘 But seriously.. I’d be much appreciated 😉
No disrespect to Tim but his part sort of overshadows the beauty of Neil, Paul and Nick’s harmonies. There’s an old radio interview where the 3 boys play this song.Neil plays guitar, Paul taps on a box for drums and Nick shakes coins, they harmonize and it’s truly beautiful.
@@homeward34 It isn’t a harmony. It is a counter-melody. Paul and Nick sing straight harmony to Neil’s lead. I believe, but am not positive, that Mark Hart augments the counter-melody Tim is singing.
Mark is such a fantastic musician and singer -- ironically, he made kind of a glaring (well, gearing to ME anyway) error in this tune. At 1:43, at the end of the 2nd verse - "Go... I'll be there when you call" - he hits a Bb on the piano (instead of C). Not that it matters, frankly -- I didn't hear it until the 2nd time I watched it, and I figure not many people hear it at all. Doesn't take away from anything, and I love the guy. While I'm happy that the Finns now get to play together as a family, it seems to be a bit of a bummer the way Mark describes how he was somewhat unceremoniously dumped.
Mike Johnson weird. I have listened to this song at least 5000 times and I just noticed yesterday that it has a very similar groove and ambience to Every Breath You Take.
@@shawnuel So after you brought that up earlier I thought I would take a crack at recording the song. I probably went overboard on the harmonies but its such a cool song.th-cam.com/video/Zwspp_SGvdI/w-d-xo.html
This song is a masterpiece, pure musical goodness ❤
Man I can just listen to this song over & over & over & over again!!
I do 😁😁😁
Gosh, Tim's harmony is ANGELIC.
It's beautiful. It is actually a counter-melody. What Paul and Nick are doing is harmony.
One of the greatest bands and surely best songwriters ever.
Absolutely up there with the beatles
Fantastic vocals, and hamrnonies and such beautiful lyrics...Neil Finn is a genius songwriter!
Tim is the king of harmonies

Carson and Crowded House - this means we got old.

Me too. I was watching this. Sounds so good even now
Never tire of this Masterpiece !
Love it when a band plays LIVE. No lip-syncing here!

'Who knows where that might lead?' That's McCartney-like.
One of the best bands to come out of the great country of Australia.
Although the lead singer and writer Neil is a Kiwi and the sound is more Kiwi like rather than Aussie like.
yeah! Kiwiland!@@andrewg3768
Paul Hester. I think of you always,
Incredible harmonies.
Neil Finn is up there with the great singer songwriters.
Crisp, well-rendered live performance. What a band !
Such a music. It’s so beautiful to hear.
Beautiful song, a tune you will never forget
I love how Johnny holds the longbox backwards, never showing the cover, right before saying the name of the record is "Wood House".
Wow LIstening over and over and never bored
Just beautiful 😍
neil and tim...awesome
'Wood House' - the new album by Crowded Face.
Lol 🤣🙄
WOODHOUSE LOL
Reminds me of the Everley Brothers...great harmony.
Good point

"This is their new CD Woodhouse." Always thought it was called Woodface.
Tim Finn is the king of harmonies.. so incredible
Absolutely, Tim Finns incredible backing vocals add another element to the song. Paul Hester is also brilliant as always.
Iconic band, beautiful tune, and brilliant album 😊❤️🎶🎼
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ They are Great!!!
I love Nick's look over to Johnny when Johnny calls the album WoodHouse. Kind of a 'seriously?' look.
Hermosa canción, los hermanos Finn genios de buenos temas
Their actually Kiwiboys New Zealander’s hardout💜
Love your work it is awesome the harmony it rings true
Love love this
Very special with Tim doing back up, very special indeed
Great harmonies!
Tim was awesome.

It is great, wonderful. And you can check how time goes by, but this music and this song keeps as good as always
Peking Duk brought me back to this masterpiece ❤️
they are so geeky visually. This was the same time that Nirvana were tearing things up!
Amazing performance!
Neil and Tim did the hard yards in music, before Neil joined Crowded House. This brilliant performance was no accident.
You can easily listen to this band’s Beatles influence. Beautiful song and amazing talent
Unreal, mega version. My favourite crowded house song. Look forward to castle field bowl Manchester 30/06/22
Tims back vocals where grate
Tim Finn makes this great song so much better.
Yeah, agreed. Tim's harmony really makes this soar. It's such a beautiful song, but this version with Tim is really special.

Excellent!
Unbelievably great!! Tim kicks ass!!
Nick's bass at 2:17 is really pretty. This song is so gorgeous but I prefer the more stripped down acoustic version with just Neil and his guitar.
