    I've never reloaded a single round but am subscribed to your channel. I'm looking forward to learning more about reloading and what all goes in to it. I appreciate the videos and quality content you put into them

      I'm new as well to reloading I bought a dillon XL750 and it's great.
      But I really only needed a single stage press since I only reload no more than 200 rounds of .223 and .308 each reloading session. I'm thinking about getting a single stage press so I can resize/decap on before I dry tumble
      Get a good reloading book and read it cover to cover you learn a lot thats what I did its such a great hobby I really enjoy fuss of it.
      BTW get yourself an RCBS bullet puller with collet

    Video would be more useful if you went into more detail on the assembly. Just got my press...my first Lyman, and the instruction manual is terrible. I figured out the primer feed assembly in spite of it, but an assembly video would help those new to Lyman.

    Good looking gear. How about the rather rough noises coming from the ram going up and down. Is this Okay?

    The packaging sucks. When mine showed up the handle had beaten the shit out of the press chipping the orange powder coat off in several places. I was pissed. Sent it back. I hope the replacement is better but Im not gonna hold my breath. Lyman should take a few notes from Dillon. Just venting. Keep the videos comin’!!🇺🇸

    Looks great, wish Lyman would put a decap through the ram like the Lee Classic Cast and the ability to put the Hornady LNL bushing for die change quickly

    I have a lyman tmag, its a tank and loads very accurate ammo, I stopped using my single stage because there was no discernible difference on paper or velocity statistics between the two

    I have this press and the primer actuator sticks up so it does not go back inside to pick up the next primer. I have to push it down to get it back inside. Is there a way to fix it?

    Molto bella, quale useresti lyman victory o redding boss? Grazie

    I noticed a couple of places on the press that they didn’t powder coat. Why such a big area with no pc on the bottom? Was thinking more about rusting as opposed to cosmetics which you wouldn’t see anyway once mounted. I’d certainly consider this press when I’m in the market for another single stage though.

    Which press would you recommend for a first time reloader the lyman victory or the mec marksman?

    How tall do I need the mount to clear the table completely?
    I do no want to mount the press at edge of table and risk powder getting down to carpet.
    You know what's up with using vacuum on gun powders.

    Does the spent primer catcher work well? Does the orange paint dirty up easy, and if so does it clean up well?

    • @Ultimatereloader
      @Ultimatereloader  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, spent primer catcher works well- haven't had one miss the bucket yet! (on all three Brass Smith presses...) To be honest, I haven't dirtied up these presses yet, but the finish is powder coat- so you should be good to go.

    Can it use Hornady Lock-N-Load conversion kit?

    • @Ultimatereloader
      @Ultimatereloader  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      No, not with this press since it doesn't have a removable die bushing... I passed this feedback on to Lyman!

    Impressed with the quality of your reviews and and the products themselves but can’t help but wonder if you have any relationship with (in this case) Lyman?
    Just in the interest of disclosure!

      I feel the same way. Love the reviews and being able to see the products on TH-cam being used. That being said I'm here for some information and entertainment, but not for an unbiased review. I can't remember seeing a negative review on the channel in a while. And I don't mean a bashing video, but maybe a "don't buy" suggestion or a comparison letting us know which might be better and for what reason. Anyway still love the content and will continue to watch, that's just my 2 cents.
