Yep, can't really answer any of your show questions because they'll more or less get addressed. I'll probably chime in to clarify when we get as much as the show gives. The guys were looking for Reggie's parents when they were at the beach, though. They found out his neighborhood got torn down and his family was gone. I'm pretty sure lockdown was the main reason they got cancelled. The show was filmed in Vancouver and there was a travel ban to the point that if they did let you cross the border, you had to quarentine for two weeks. I believe it was right at the end of filming and it threw the rest into limbo. The show's release got put off and then they had to do publicity online. They were writing songs for season 2, though. By the time they officially gave word it was cancelled, it had been almost 3 yrs since they'd filmed it... "Julie" was 14 when she was cast, 15 when she filmed and 18 when it was cancelled. The little brother had hit puberty and the guys were even older. I think "Reggie", who was the oldest, was 25ish at cancellation. It was really really bad timing... I can't imagine much other than that, it did well, considering the circumstances and they hit some huge beats - won 3 Emmies and were nominated for something like 14, won Mtv's best musical scene award over all other nominated shows *and* movies, made iTunes charts including knocking Hamilton out of #1 soundtrack for a few weeks. I think 5ish songs were in the top 10. (I used to know all the stats by heart but it's been a while 😅) Kenny did try to get the right to shop it around but Netflix wouldn't give it up. As always.
