also will the gap tool allow me to turn off the coolant tank sensor? mine has gone bad so I get a message center "coolant low" constantly. i would rather not buy a new expansion tank. thanks!
As far as I understand it the TPMS is only an MOT failure if the car was registered on or after 1st January 2012 where - in the UK if fitted is has to work. Mine is a 2006 and it passed its last MOT with a TPMS warning light on. I've since had TPMS deleted because the flashing warning light was an annoying distraction. On an aside, today I had the EGRs blanked and deleted and a re-map done. Holy Crap, the difference in performance is staggering, it's like a different car. Chuffed to bits. Don't know what the actual bhp increase is but it is very noticeable. The pipes were re-installed so to all intents and purposes it still looks factory.
Egr delete/blank and a remap is a game changer. Had mine done in 2019 and never had any problems. They quoted at the time going from 272bhp to 320bhp and a torque increase from 640 to 750nm, car is amazing now with much better fuel economy.
There's supposed to be a button beneath the steering wheel to reset the TPMS on my 2010 L322 Supercharged. There's none. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.
what is the official name for the gap tool? I need to google and purchase one. I have a 2008 range rover supercharged. will the gap tool work for ALL range rovers 2008-2023? can I pick one up used on the cheap?
You can sometimes find them second hand, if you pick one up cheap you will just have to pay for a license for your vehicle. This is the official website, will work on most Land Rovers that have a diagnostic socket, the license opens the tool up for more functions locked to you car. www.gap-diagnostic.com/
Just the base model, unless you are a Land Rover garage. The base model will be locked to your Vin number for all functions, but it will still work on other Land Rovers.
Clarkson and Harry's garage were recently discussing their 2008 TDV8s - apparently if you rapidly plug in and unplug the seat belt 10 times - it disables the seatbelt bong. Not sure if it actually works and if it does, whether it works in 2010 cars. Good video - TPMS is a pain in the a**e
I can confirm it works, just did mine. Ignition on (don't touch brake pedal), plug the seat belt in nine times (doesn't have to be rapid), then you hear a bong. Switch ignition off, then start the car and no more seat belt chimes. To re-enable, just do it again and they come back on. Mines a 2010 and no more bloody bongs when I'm riding round our fields.
Only the service menu needs the engine switching off with ignition on, TPMS load is in vehicle set up, which can be done with the engine running (as it says in the owners handbook and how it works on my 2010 TDV8).
It was a fairly straight forward job to delete the TPMS.
Great video again, Ben and I see that in this video you didn’t already get rid of the seatbelt chime. 👍😀
I filmed this the other day, seatbelt chime was today.
Thank you I got the gap tool and deleted the tpms thanks again

Yes, you’re going to need a gap tool to change the ccf files.

I’ve never heard of a button to reset TPMS, so I can’t really help with that.
Thanks from spain, do you know i it works on a 2015 Evoque ? Which brand is that tool?

@@Bensgarage thank you for the link! Do you recommend the base model or the "pro"?

Can u adjust ride height with the gap tool
Yes you can adjust the height with the gap tool.
My latest video just shows how to do that … I got rid of that pesky chime and I don’t regret it 👍😀
Did mine as well today on my 2012! No more seat belt bong!
WRONG ...... Light and Heavy Load is only available to set when engine is NOT running ... with ignition on.
