The Draken, was singled out and studied by the Light Weight Fighter Mafia, in research for the design of the Light Weight Fighter Program, which produced the YF-16 & YF-17. It has a good P/W ratio, and low wing loading, for good manoeuvrability and agility in the air. It is also spectacularly futuristic and alluring.
