Scotland has reopened lines to Alloa, Larkhall, Edinburgh via Bathgate, and the Tweedbank route, all of which have proved very much more successful than even the most optimistic estimates by the experts.
It is silly that £50 billion is being spent on faster rail travel (HS2) when places like Bude don't have a rail service at all.
