My team took a roadtrip to Minneapolis to play in the Metrodome in September. We watched this movie on repeat all the way there on the bus. Great times!!!
I don’t care what anyone says. This was one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen. It’s so quotable and has great re-watchability. And the attention to detail from a softball/baseball aspect was actually very impressive. You could make the argument that this one of the more realistic sports movies ever made. Beer League will always be one my favorites.
Artie Lange starring in the new Sci Fi series "The Six Million Dollar Nose" The money was not to rebuild the nose. The $6,000,000 is the amount Artie spent on drugs he put up his nose.
So to recap, throughout it all, there's been a lot of laughter, and a few tears. But in the end the clouds parted, the sun shined down, and the good Lord himself decided it was meant to be. And that's how I finished the regular season batting .706. Salud
I been an Artie fan a while. I actually didn’t even. Find him on the stern show. I found him back in the day (he may have been on the stern show) but for some reason I had no idea cause I never listened to stern back then. And any reference to stern I just assumed he was a guest appearance or something. I donno. I didn’t realize he was on the show until he told the story about 50 cent and Artie talking shit on mike Tyson and 50 was like “you forget this guys still able to knock people out” and then it made me get into listening to the era where Artie was on the show. But I heard his stand up when I was in my worst stage of addiction to heroin so his comedy was so relatable. And I became a huge fan plus I just love his story telling and abilities to shit talk etc etc. and now I spend a ton of my nights listening to clips from the show while Artie was on the show
This movie is really underrated. I think it's actually kind of funny because I was clicking on it one time. That I found out Ralph Macchio was actually the karate kid because I had never seen the karate kid until 2010. Now hes in Cobra Kai. which is amazing this movie deserves it because it's really underrated and is very funny and very enjoying.
There are way better highlights and a shitload more of them. Artie and his crew did a hell of a job on this film. My friends and I laughed hard many times and it was very entertaining and we're in California not Jersey. Funny, funny fukkken stuff! As for the Haters; just keep haten. Hopefully you'll find peace some day...
Artie should be proud. Beer League is the 8906 highest grossing movie ever in the USA. You have that going for you Artie. That and a nose that looks like an M80 was exploded in each nostril. 8906 on the charts but number 1 in our heart. I miss you on the Stern show. Not the same without you. I hope you can get a good construction team to rebuild your nose.
I think Roeper said it best in his review. The movie isn't amazing, but it's a hell of a lot more funnier than most of the crappy comedies that come out.
This movie was from 2006-2007?? Holy fuck, I thought it was from around the same time period as "Dirty Work", man Artie really went downhill fast. I guess this movie would have been half-decent in the 90's. But 2007??? Really?? Fuckin terrible.
"And here comes DeVanzo. He's a sandy haired, slender thighed, long legged, big beautifully young man. With excellent bone structure. The pussy he must get on the road." This movie was self-deprecating genius.
Only a small percentage of men could relate to softball leagues. Yet we’ve never been in this specific situation. Artie, this made no sense to write a movie like this. Thank God you made money as MADD tv cast member / comedian / stern staff member .... what’s sad is that on the stern show u literally said this had the chance to be a great movie. Come on man....
I was a big artie fan and never saw this movie. (My other comment explains lol) But now that I actually watched this entire movie - artie is a very crappy leading actor. He does good in a couple line parts - and I think probably coulda been utilized as a quick comic relief a lot more than films like Old School used him. But he is very very unnatural In this film. But I think it has a lot to do with the way it’s edited and directed. Comedy like this needs to be filmed more like super bad and quick edits. Superbad and actually knocked up too actually really changed comedy films. But this film is edited more like a indie film drama and less like a comedy. And maybe Artie was a pain in the ass or somethjnf. But they needed to work with him cause every line he says feels like so unnatural. When Ralph Macchio is showing you up…oooof However if you watch this film for what it is. And just not analyze and think about his acting and what not. There are countless hilarious moments in this film. His acting isn’t great. But his writing is hilarious and I think a different team of people making this film coulda made this wayyy better. Cause it’s definitely just “no fucks given” and hilarious with arties humor. I’d love to see a remake with Judd Apatow and that Joni guy that does East bound and down directing. Cause I think this film would have been a million times better. But I get it. He had to go cheaper so that he wouldn’t put himself in bankruptcy lol. But overall. I really actually enjoyed watching it. And I’ll definitely watch it again for sure. CUse I just love his sense of humor. And nowadays you would be fuckin flabbergasted to find a comedy with this type of humor. But I mean nowadays you couldn’t even consider making lots of classics like Harold and Kumar or euro trip or. VAN WILDER. Even the top originator of that era of comedy American pie would probably get the whole team black listed if it was made today. I don’t even think you could make knocked up or Superbad in 2022. And those movies (like American pie) completely created a genre
This movie was about 3 decades too late. This might have been decent in the 1980s but to release this in 2006?! That's like someone releasing a boy band/Spice Girls movie today in 2021... Not relevant or interesting. And I bet the money it did gross was from the Howard Stern Show fans. (Which isn't very much either being that Howard likes to project that he has millions of listeners.)
i forgot what the movie was called and then all the sudden in Sal's voice i remembered, "... YOU SUCKED ON MAD TV, BEER LEAGUE SUCKED"
Hahaha
Lol
it was in 18 theatures in made 215 grand. I can sh!t that out my @ss
@@theripper715I’m pretty sure 215 grand was like triple of Sal’s salary at the Stern show lmao
"I'll try but you might have to give me the number to your dietitian ". So many great lines.
this is by far one of the most underrated movies. the amount of professional shit talking in this movie is insane
My team took a roadtrip to Minneapolis to play in the Metrodome in September. We watched this movie on repeat all the way there on the bus. Great times!!!
Did you guys win the game? Do you still keep in touch with the guys from the team?
“Me, I’m battin 696. That’s like tellin Ted Williams how to hit.” Lmao
"striking out in slow pitch soft ball is nothing to be ashamed of"
Fucking funny
Your bad
Beer League. The Office Space for plumbers, pipefitters and electricians.
This was one of my favorite movies back in the day... Even though everybody hated it... Lol

this is one of my all time favorite movies
Love this movie. Classic 🍿 🎞 🎥
This was a really funny movie, big up Artie 👍🏾
if thats the highlights the low points of the movie must be miserable lol
RIIIGHT!!
MrSpiderman1321 nah this video just isn't very good.
Lmao that’s why I love this movie
The scene where they're fucking off in the bar right before the big game and have to all pile into the bartender's sedan is my favorite
@@sydjonah9556 cause it sucks?
I actually liked this movie even though everyone knocks it
Same here, man. I still laugh whenever I watch it. 😆
Shit taste lol
I love this freakin movie
Ditto
No one knocks it

Sal was right.
Deborah Clarke damn the truth hurts LOLLLL
I love this movie one of the greatest sports comedies of the 2000s!
Absolutely love this movie
These are suppose to be the high lights??????
If only Artie can see Yucko now.
Now Artie looks like Voldemort lmao
Arty looks great in this
and he still looks like a fat slob in this
@@DrNickRiveria So true... he would say he was in the best shape when he made this but he was still obese
Holy Fuck, didn't know that was Daniel LaRusso the first time I watched Beer League!
I love this movie. "I'm not mad just give me the ball"
90 minute movie w/ a 2 minute highlight reel.
its like pitching to a healthy lu gehrig
lou*
If this came out 10 years sooner it would have been a hit
Word this movie was so 1989.. still a classic
fucking great movie i’ll never understand why it wasn’t bigger than it was

The only funny line
those were the hightlights??!
So weird seeing the fighter of Howard Stern show playing baseball
beer league sucked, mad TV sucked , $250,000 in America? I could shit that out of my ass!!!!
+jtf jtf ok sal
You SUCKED on Mad TV, you SUCKED on The Norm Show.....Beer League sucked......
Sal you douchebag
...shit, it's fucking terrible
nobody knew you....you were a third rate middle!
1:25 me when I clock out
So unfair... It's like pitching to a healthy Lou Gehrig hahaha
"He enters today's game with a blood alcohol of 0.16. For you kids scoring at home that's an impressive...twice...the legal limit."
jim belushi looks funny here.
"do you ever shut the fuck up?" hahahahahahahaha
I love this movie.
I didn't realize this movie tanked so hard until I saw the numbers. It's a cool movie
Highlights?
Underrates movie.
2 mins and 49 seconds of highlights on a three hour movie. sounds about right.
Don't take your wasted life so seriously
@@jameskostarelos5271 is that a serious comment. Lol. You must have a lot of friends. Haha
Rather have none then the boring ones you have. I mean you must be the life of the party if you hate on this movie. Freaking nerd
I didn't know there were any highlights.?? Whew, this movie was so disappointing. He should have let someone else write it maybe.
2:03 We're Rockin' You Shit-nuts!
Unless you're from NJ this movie wont be good. I personally love it cause i play softball and live in the area it was filmed haha.
I'm not from Afghanistan but lone survivor was great.

He'll need the team that rebuilt your mom's twat after the last basketball team ran through her.
Artie wanted to take a long block of time off for this movie too.. Howard was pissed. Howard was right haha!
Holy shit these are the highlights?! I'd hate to see what they left on the cutting room floor. Sal was right.
She wants to inherit the yankee mystique i feel it
Wild to think making this movie ultimately killed Artie's career.
I know beer league was a crappy film but your "highlights" are the opening credits plus two other scenes?
Ball off the garage into the net is actually a brilliant idea to practice alone….
Arties problem was it was an out dates film.... It seemed like a movie that would've been a decent mid 90s flick
One of the best movies ever made. Fucking love this movie.
Collin Evans wtf
Totally agree man.
I think Roeper said it best in his review. The movie isn't amazing, but it's a hell of a lot more funnier than most of the crappy comedies that come out.
Hahahaha i forgot Jim Florentine was in this !!
how awful
yeah ... thats some... ...funny stuff.
some of the greats strike out dave, thats right. Striking out in slow pitch softball, there's nothing to be ashamed of. lol
LOL Cost....2.8 million.
Gross......240 grand LOL
One of the biggest flops in history.
jo smith how did it cost 2.8 million . should have cost no more than 200k. Actors made money but financer didnt
i love johnny boys at bats hahaha
Same here, it's a good guy movie. Nothing Oscar-worthy, but I somehow doubt it was meant to be.
So devanso stands in... shot down the line
Wears a white dress to her Second wedding AND already has a kid too.
Funny
Artie before his nose imploded
dave rules
Back when Artie's ego was bigger than his waistline... though that would eventually catch up and become a fucking dead heat.
for the movie critics out there, a lack of financial success at the box office does not equate poor quality.
Hmmm, this movie was obviously made for a very select group of people... Maybe, even a small subgroup within that select group of people... ?
Imbeciles?

Soo unfair, like pitching to a healthy Lou Gehrig" LMFAOOOO

🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love all the critics. Must've taken time from all their Oscar parties for their films to chime in
considering its cost it can't even be close to biggest flop. films have lost 10's of millions. his lost 2.5
Have you all watched this movie? Absolutely horrible. It's basically all one liners
