Love that is not destroyed having the cause of destruction is pure love. The lover doesn't expect anything in return from the beloved. Gopi prem is the glaring example of pure love. It's not possible in the material world.

There is a difference between true love lust and love .like in business we give and take,
In true love we just give and never even think about taking anything. Our Love towards God should be real love .

True love never fades with situations; as our beloved behaves inappropriately, our love for them should increase. Our devotion and love for Sri Krishna should be the same way. Worldly love follows a 'take and take' policy, whereas in devotion, only love for God unites us with Him.

  • @manjushreerath

Grandsire Bheeshm is my all-time favorite. He presents the best example of single-minded devotion. . पवि पाहन दामिनी गरज झरि झकोर खरि खीझि। रोष न प्रीतम दोष लखि तुलसी रागहि रीझि।| The cloud shows its anger and annoyance to the loving overtures of the Chatak bird by striking with lightening, hitting with hailstones, stunning and stupefying with the dazzling stab of lightening, rumbling and thundering in anger, pouring rain in a torrent and virtually slapping and lashing out making the poor Chatak by hitting it with gusts of strong and gale-force winds in the form of severe storm. The Chatak never minds and never feel disheartened, for its love selfless and single-minded. This is true divine love. No matter what the behavior of the beloved, we will always remain exclusively devoted to him. In other words, unlike material relationships, we will not turn away from him if his behavior does not meet our expectations..

Off course, the story of Shri Bhishm Pitamah! 🌺🙏❤️ We revere our Madhurapati and his ardent devotees.🙏 These stories are to illuminate Glories of our Beloved. MahaBharat was to teach the right and wrong, Satya/asatya, the horrors of all bad actions, as lessons for people of Kaliyug. Most of all the Prabhu Leelas are for devotees to cherish and worship, at the same time getting nonbelievers to find refuge at the Lotus Feet of Shrikrishna Bhagwan and be HIS devotee to find that LOVE that we all have been seeking, (and didn't even know), throughout the endless lifetimes.

Amazing and most important point from the aspect of devotee. We think we are loving others for others sake, but it’s not and it’s for our own sake. The stories explained by swamiji the man at the restaurant reveals this point. Swamiji explained two stories on true love, one is the husband who pretended to be blind for his wife, and the grand father Bheeshma. The story of Chaitanya mahaprabhu’s servant Govind is extreme example as well. Thank you swamiji for sharing this knowledge with us.

Swamiji beautifully described the 3 kinds of love, lust, business and love. Lust is take, take and take. Business is give and take. Love is give, give and give. Lust and Business has our own self interest of seeking happiness while Love is happiness of the Beloved. The beautiful example of the husband pretending to be blind for his wife’s happiness and Bhisma’s reaction to Krishnas angry form is true love.

True love is to give. When whatever behaviour beloved may do our love remains unaffected, then that's true love.Worldly love what we are finding that is lust and aim is to get not to give.
