Superb presentation, thanks, how do you calculate your profits, I mean where do you see this trade on a chart to analyze visually profit and loss- or more precisely options trade diagram on a chart? If you have a video on that please let me know the title so I can search, thanks for your efforts.

Why you did not select one from the Strategies drop down menu?

I think this well explained video answered my question. When buying just a single call or Put, one on the order ticket can bid on it. For example if the bid and ask was 1.10 to 1.65, one can bid say 1.40 or any number in between.
Now what confused me is on how to bid say on each of the 4 legs of an Iron Condor. I saw no way to do it as one had to click on the ask or bid depending on buying or selling.
So what I now understand is that the Condor strategy is a package deal and the bid is done on the whole package at the bottom were it says mid point. Like it may read 1.61 to 1.82 and one can go with a market order or put in a bid of say 1.50 and if that gets sold, then all 4 legs are sold also.
Now can anyone tell me if I have this all right? Thanks in advance.

thanks for the video. really good. Does any know how to leg into a spread in IBKR similar to how you can in think or swim(one trigger sequential)? or editing the second leg to get into a risk free trade if other leg gets to the price you paid for the first leg?

I understand how to make the options, still learning the all the names for them: Iron Condor etc... what i don't understand is how to pick a call or put that will generate income. to me it's just guessing at which numbers to put into your option. How do you know how much P/L you will end up with after choosing your calls and puts?

It’s the same thing as normal. You sell to close. It’s not like that with any other broker besides IBKR though lol. Not sure why. It’s always buy to close when it’s a short position on Tasty, Schwab, TD, Everyone except IBKR.

No. Close the option you have. Otherwise you can and will create a new Sell option.
