Her form as Mictlantecuhtli reminds me of a Manananggal. All her masquerades are really interesting
Reminds me of Weavel from Metroid
I love how viola comments on how the demon is actually two brothers red being the older while blue is the younger one and mentions how bad their sibling rivalry must be I think it might be a reference to Dante and Virgil lol
It seems like all of her masquerade forms are inspired by myth monsters (her masquerade as phantasmaraneae is a jorogumo while her malphas masquerade form is a harpy)

The developers made a masterpiece of a game. I didn’t think they’d be able to top Bayonetta 1 and 2 but they managed to raise the bar even higher.

Characters are very interesting but you have to play the first 2 games first
Ending isn’t garbage but unsatisfying but there’s a big chance for a DLC so we can continue the story

Yeah, in DMC5 they focused on making Dante and Vergil more powerful for fanservice than giving flashy weapons.

Two that are missing: The Kraken (from the prologue) & Alrune (from bayo 2!). They have weapons, masquerade forms, and demon slaves to summon.

The whip from 2 is in some of the secret missions, not sure where to acquire it though.
Edit: found how along with a kraken weapon it’s from collecting all 3 umbral tears in mission 3 then defeating the boss in the mission that appears on the map, and the anchor appears via the same way but instead of collecting tears just beat the game
Rodin is also here, and it's the same as it was in 2(according to what people say).

The upgrade for queen butterfly vs the thing that attack and absorb her Chinese counterpart was largely reference to Buddha vs monkey king Sun wukong....if you're wondering but I think everyone is kinda knew that 😂😂😂😁😁😁

Me been slightly picky, you can get the guns from 1 and 2 and they allow you to turn into the cat form she had in those 2 games.
Alraune is playable in a side mission as a demon you forgot her on the China level where you get the whips and stuff idk if there’s anymore like that

Yeah. Sadly, the insanity of game is constrained by an obsolete mobile chipset (as much as I like the Switch as a platform). Platinum Games has done a great job with what it had, but the "Switch U" version can't come fast enough.
please do a costume/customization video, i've been dying to know if this game has alternate costumes aside from the color palette changer, and If there are more playable characters than just Bayonetta and Viola. Also, are there Rodin weapons not in game? the bracelets you get for beating his secret boss fight, by buying the platinum ticket

*It has come to my realization that we can’t mix and match the weapons in this game like in this past two games and that just completely changed my overall outlook of the game. Could give a damn about the story, it’s gonna be crazy and a good ol time in my book as ridiculous as it can get. I look forward to the combat and variety of weapons we get to mix around as we see fit. You telling me we can’t even have the guns attached to solely are arms or legs and have another added to either our arms and legs? That basically kills the dodge offset in a general sense simply off say using the guns with the yo-yo or say we want to fans in our hands with the whips on our feet and so on like in previous games that is one of Bayonetta’s niche that made her unique and fun to play….seems like this game they cared too much about you being able to change into a fused demon form to run around in and changing her hair and clothes color instead of giving us the weapon mixing variety these games are known for.* 7/10 for me would’ve been a 8 if bot for that flaw 🤦🏾♂️

Shame they didn't have any angels to summon in battle. You'd think that with all the multiverses, There would have been a Bayonetta who could command Angels....I can kinda see why they didn't though.
Because Bayo is an Umbra Witch who can only summon monsters from Inferno due to a contract made with them. Lumen Sages on the opposite can only summon monsters from Paradiso 🤷🏻♂️
@@aminekoussa9011 That is quite true. However, Bayonettas parents are both a Lumen sage and an Umbran witch. If you put multiverse theory into mind, anything can happen. It's more likely possible that there is a Bayonetta who can summon angels and whatnot.
But like I say, I can see why they didn't though cause it'll probably wouldn't make much sense for her to do so
@@universalwolf4002 It would be out‐of‐character to see her summon angels, she's sassy and a bit sadistic, which makes sense to her summoning Inferno monsters and using them as weapons for the sake of pure amusement. But it would be an interesting idea seeing a different version of Bayonetta if she'd taken a different route and followed the steps of her father to become a Lumen Sage !
