देह शिवा बर मोहे ईहे, शुभ कर्मन ते कभुं न टरूं
न डरौं अरि सौं जब जाय लड़ौं, निश्चय कर अपनी जीत करौं,
अरु सिख हों आपने ही मन कौ इह लालच हउ गुन तउ उचरों,
जब आव की अउध निदान बनै अति ही रन मै तब जूझ मरों ॥२३१॥

English Translation
O Akaal, give me this boon
May I never ever shirk from doing good deeds
That I shall not fear when I go into combat. And with determination, I will be victorious.
That I may teach myself this greed alone, to speak only of Thy (almighty lord Waheguru) praises.
And when the last days of my life come, I may die in the might of the battlefield.

Here Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji refers to Shiva - Jo Hamesha Kalyan Karne wala Parm Pita Parmatma Akal Purakh Waheguru and not Shiv Ji-Mahadev.

Acharya has rightly interpreted it's internal battle. There is another band viz 'Asa di vaar'. It takes 1.5 hours to sing and is sung daily early morning in all Gurudwaras. Here the word 'Vaar' means 'Battle song'. Guru Nanak in these verses have throughout talked of inner battles. Even in Baramah bani the rank is again on inner battle which makes you warriors in battle field too. Acharya ji is requested to cover these also . I can send relevant links also. It's in punjabi.

In these verses by Guru Gobind Singh Shiva is Parmatama, Akal purukh , the supreme being, not the Devta Shivji.
Shivji is not devta. It's a misconception among Hindus as well. Those who have gone through all the scriptures like Vedas, Upnishads and Purans, they can clearly understand that Shiv ji is the supreme lord. Also there is no difference between Shivji, Ramji and Krishna Ji. You can worship them in whatever form you want. Also, our scriptures clearly states that Supreme lord is 'Nirgun & Nirakar' but since he is supreme, he can be 'Sangun & Saakar' if he wants. Those who put their comments on Ram ji and Shiv ji, they didn't even know 1% of our scriptures. They only know what Indian TV serials and media has presented so far.
Shiv puran clearly says- "Shiva is अजन्मा , अमर , अनादि and अनंत & there is nothing beyond him". And Shree Guru Govind Singh ji was praying to that Lord Shiva only.

Gur fateh - Sikh means Arya turely vedic , ved is the only only dharm - ved means satya , sach that is nirgun - Sargun.
