Thanks so much for the prompt coverage! Everyone had a great time, and now we're getting the course ready for NZ nationals here in Auckland. A little cooler and wetter here!
Sick! Can't wait to see, Thanks for a fast turnaround on the video! I thought I was going to have to wait weeks if not months for the vid to come out! Thanks Spin TV!!!!
I am so appreciative that we have footage of the final round, thanks SPINTV. However, hoping that there would be television coverage on such an event is probably a stretch to say the least. However, one would imagine that more than just the final round would be covered.
Really challenging course with some very tough-to-hit, bottleneck-like fairways. Great coverage and good job in getting across the skill level required!
Moved all the way from Perth, Western Australia to flagstaff, AZ and just found out about disc golf. guess i know were ill be going when i head back to Aussie.
All I got to say .. is .. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE BACK NINE .. although Innova has already published the winners .. but .. they are making runs on the leaders ! Can't wait to see it.
I actually wish they would just do it like ball golf and show their score for the tournament and also for the day. I also wish they could show like 2-3 pages of the leaderboard as the round progresses. But don't get me wrong this is incredible to watch. Than you guys so much o don't say it enough.
"Players are expected to call a violation when one has clearly occurred. Calls must be made promptly." This is my main problem with Simon's foot fault. Paul asks about time limit and I am guessing he means that he can wait until the disc has landed. I don't agree that the rules are saying that.
Kj Schneider But Simon could just have tee'd off 2-3 feet further back. They also don't make a difference. I don't think there actually was a foot fault. Simon generally releases the disc while his foot is at an angle and then it pivots forward afterwards, crossing the tee-line.
I understand, just seems petty for McBeth to call him out like that. I'm sure I'm overreacting, I just come from a background where you don't call petty fouls and little things; you just let people play. Whether it was a legitimate foul or not, just made me lose a bit of respect for McBeth as a competitor. Just my perspective
great video and commentary! ... for the record dave feldberg is NOT "one of the best putters in the world". guy couldnt putt his way out of a chain convention.
haha calls it a grass tree then says theres another name that he shouldnt say on here. we call em 'black boys'. but in these recent PC years ya cant call em that anymore lol
So, the commentary is generally great, but there's one thing I've got to bring up. When a player's putt hits the top band on the basket, James, you have to stop calling it the "chastity belt". It's possible you don't realize how offensive that comment would be to any female viewers, but I can tell you it's pretty damn offensive to this male viewer.
Nice. And I was worried I wouldn't get mature responses. Also, I wasn't talking to you, unless you're here to tell us that you write the script that James reads during his commentary.
Jackson Buzea True fact... you don't get to tell another person what does/does not, should/should not offend them. And, again, you are not the person I'm addressing in my comment. Your lack of empathy towards others, while somewhat troubling, is completely irrelevant.
SpinTV has the absolute best video quality and commentary. I love it!
Thanks so much for the prompt coverage! Everyone had a great time, and now we're getting the course ready for NZ nationals here in Auckland. A little cooler and wetter here!
Thanks for the quick upload! Can't wait for more
Stoked this got uploaded, been excited to watch it.
Sick! Can't wait to see, Thanks for a fast turnaround on the video! I thought I was going to have to wait weeks if not months for the vid to come out! Thanks Spin TV!!!!
Thank you for your wonderful coverage!! :D
I am so appreciative that we have footage of the final round, thanks SPINTV.

Looking forward to start seeing this live! Great work, great disc golf!
Awesome coverage! Thank you for this!! :)
Is that a bird in the background from 30:42-31:58? I can't really tell what that is.
Really challenging course with some very tough-to-hit, bottleneck-like fairways. Great coverage and good job in getting across the skill level required!
Thank you for the videos.
Simon is on another level when it comes to alternate drive lines that other players wouldn't even think of. He will be the number one player soon.
The Dave Ray Show 2 years later, he's number 3. You might be right
Nice!!!! I wont the back 9!!! soon please!! thanks for bringing the aussie Open to everyone!!
Moved all the way from Perth, Western Australia to flagstaff, AZ and just found out about disc golf. guess i know were ill be going when i head back to Aussie.
Great coverage. Wish there was video of McBeth's eagle on the forehand skip!
me too :(
Great video
This is pure magic!
All I got to say .. is .. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE BACK NINE .. although Innova has already published the winners .. but .. they are making runs on the leaders ! Can't wait to see it.
where's the back nine?
*Edit: back nine is posted now, thanks!
Great coverage! Love the commentary and guest commentators. What kind of shoe was Paul wearing in this tournament?
Good coverage. Did they remake the foursomes after 9 holes?
Simon's foot fault is disputable. He releases the disc while on his heel, which is right on the edge of the tee pad. The foot print is post release.

I probably wouldn't of called it personally
How did McBeth play #2 for the eagle? Im guessing he had a throw in, but I wouldnt be surprised if he crushed a drive that far.
right thats what i was thinking... lol.
DGweekly - he came up short of the ob just like in this video but then threw a forehand that skipped up and into the basket from about 250 feet.
He must have thrown in a forehand.
Is there any coverage of the first 3 rounds?
Is there a tv channel to watch this
Is that a green First Run Felon Ricky is throwing?
Can't wait for the back nine!
I wish y'all would show the score per hole as well as overall score. [i.e. Player1 (-1) -23]
Thanks for the feedback, we'll work on it for the future!
I actually wish they would just do it like ball golf and show their score for the tournament and also for the day. I also wish they could show like 2-3 pages of the leaderboard as the round progresses. But don't get me wrong this is incredible to watch. Than you guys so much o don't say it enough.
31:49 - Is that a fake bird in the top left background? or am I trippin
James Hart it looks like an owl. probably sleeping
doesnt look like anyhting local so probs fake
does aussies have their own measure of distance?
Mega instead of meters?
Hole 5 is exactly what a North Carolina hole looks like. As an NC disc golfer I play holes like this all the time
I didn't find anything offensive in the slightest. Great coverage and commentary. People need to lighten up!!!!!
nice video
Is Ricky throwing lat64 or prodigy?
Lat.
What's another name for an Australian Grasstree?
blackboy
Jamie Thomas: Hole 9: "Lizotte takes a bit of a tighter line.....throwing his.....PUTTER......"
putter for 120m? 30:00
S-line P2, correct sir.
Only the final round? Damn!
Fun fact. Discs spin the opposite direction in Australia because they're on the other side of the equator
"Players are expected to call a violation when one has clearly occurred. Calls must be made promptly." This is my main problem with Simon's foot fault. Paul asks about time limit and I am guessing he means that he can wait until the disc has landed. I don't agree that the rules are saying that.
foot call was petty... as if that extra 6 in made a difference
Kj Schneider But Simon could just have tee'd off 2-3 feet further back. They also don't make a difference.

Just my perspective
Kj Schneider I feel the same way. He was pretty high on my gentleman-golfer-scale, but he lost a point on that one.
+Kj Schneider petty? Ken "The Champ" Climo calls everything.
Feldberg took 5 putters to his 15 footer on hole 2....what?
Is that Jussi in the bushes @ #2? Instagrammin' like hell :D
Behind the tree? Definitely!
Is Feldberg wearing a flak jacket a la Cam Newton, or is he growing out some monster love handles?
Drinking a lot of Fosters.
Well, Simon did had a footfault but not by the footprint that Paul was talking about!
From the look of the course, no left handed players had a say in this design. Great looking course, though.
I do believe Ricky is throwing some prodigy in the video. Cause he doesn't know his lat bag well enough
I wonder how many big ass spiders they came across!
Simon was foot faulting before Paul called him out
The australian commentator sounds like viggo mortensen
great video and commentary! ... for the record dave feldberg is NOT "one of the best putters in the world". guy couldnt putt his way out of a chain convention.
Feldberg made an entirely new footprint. Simon's heel was touching. Petty.
Chastity belt?? Really? SMH
First like!!!
Comment
Bush wacking those bull ants down under
Always hearing the term "club down". This isn't golf, why can't it just be "disc down".
The powers that be are trying to model disc golf on ball golf. A mistake imho.
DB Platypus Exactly. Just like the term "tap in". Should be a drop in.
haha calls it a grass tree then says theres another name that he shouldnt say on here.
we call em 'black boys'. but in these recent PC years ya cant call em that anymore lol
"blackboy" is the colloquialism for the tree, apparently. because it resembles an aborigine boy
So, the commentary is generally great, but there's one thing I've got to bring up. When a player's putt hits the top band on the basket, James, you have to stop calling it the "chastity belt".

Cry about it
Nice. And I was worried I wouldn't get mature responses. Also, I wasn't talking to you, unless you're here to tell us that you write the script that James reads during his commentary.
Alright , how unstable are you to be offended by a saying someone you don't know says? Worry about things that matter.
Jackson Buzea True fact... you don't get to tell another person what does/does not, should/should not offend them. And, again, you are not the person I'm addressing in my comment. Your lack of empathy towards others, while somewhat troubling, is completely irrelevant.
Brian Hughes You also don't have a right to tell people what they are supposed to be offended by, which you just did.
