I just bought this guitar based on this video, watch it loads before buying it. I love this guitar. However, initially I did not think much of the Transacoustic effect, I couldn't really hear it very well. I then put some lighter stings on it and I could not hear the effect at all but was going to keep it because it is so easy to play.
However , looking through the manual there was a brief mention of putting the guitar into EQ mode to adjust the effects mid range, didn't think it would do much but wow! It came to life even with the light strings! Also in your video you mention that you need to turn off the effect or it runs the battery down. I haven't tried it but the manual says it turns off after 30mins. My previous guitar was a Taylor GS mini koa and honestly it blows it away in terms of playability and fun.
I'm not a great guitar player but this is the most beautiful fun guitar I have had.

I am so happy I finally found your channel!! I have been a The Music fan for awhile now, thanks to a trip to see family over in Scotland. My cousin introduced me to your band and I was forever hooked. I'm from the states, and I don't understand why the US did not pick up on this. Pure magic mate. Pure magic.

Mine arrived yesterday, it travelled half way across Canada, in winter, and was in tune out of the box. I love it, my fingers are a little sore this morning... Chorus is like playing a 12 string with only 6... it's just so cool and you really have to experience the sound in the room.

It is indeed like playing a 12 string ❤ Also such a great boost of presence and overall volume. Such a great guitar 😍😍

Buying one of these. Sounds amazing. I bought a PRS ax20e and lowered the action, added some 12's. Unbelievable value and sound for the money, a guitar I can't put down from my collection. I agree the J45 Had a quality sound but a bug guitar when round the house. I think I'm going to take the pick guard of my gold top after watching your other videos. I managed to work out the riffs earlier, added nearly full gain on a black star amp, distortion and a little reverb to get the sound. Looking forward to more videos. Very informative. Thanks Adam.

I have the CG-TA Nylon version and it's simply beautiful. The effects Yamaha have been able to incorporate into this instrument are mind blowing. Great vid BTW.

I’ve just bought mine and I agree. I checked out the Martin and the Taylor and the quality was drastically different. I was disappointed because I wanted to buy American made. But the quality and the price difference were too far away to justify buying the name brand. At the end of the day it comes down to sound , and playability as you stated. The electronics are just an added bonus.

Best acoustic I ever played was a Yamaha. For the life of me can’t remember what model it was, but stayed in the shop for a year before sold - was sad to see it go.

hey Adam, would it be weird to add a pick guard to the yamaha csf-ta? Any idea where I could find a pickguard for the yamaha csf-ta? cheers

That sounds mint. I keeps thinking about buying a new acoustic but I just can’t let go of my old Tanglewood (it’s crap but it’s the first one I ever bought with my own money in 96!) Also, you need to do some reviews of all your guitars mate, would love to hear your thoughts on the different styles. Those Strat’s behind you look nice, always had a soft spot for a Strat!

Yes mate 👍 I will definitely do that. Tim Musgrove was also asking on twitter. So I will probably do a patron live stream series going over them. Really cool idea 👌

The reverb or whatever is is as I know nothing but yes I would prefer it on it adds more feeling and presence atmosphere without a doubt.

I have a wall of guitars similar to you, with some pretty big names in there as well. I bought a Yamaha FG800 about 5 years ago (a really entry level model) and, similarly to you it would seem, haven't stopped raving about it. It's brilliant. Without any doubt in my mind, Yamaha is the most underated guitar brand on the planet. What's interesting about the FG is that I bought it because it was cheap (and I wanted something I didn't mind leaving around the house), but I play it every day because it's become my favourite. Anyway - thanks for a great review. I ordered a CSF3M yesterday (similar to this model without the transaccoustic). I'm wondering if I should have got the TA now.
