My entire world was flipped upside down after watching this anime. Like, no anime has EVER been as bittersweet as this one, I recommend it to everyone who just needs a quick cry to make them feel better.
I didnt cry the first time i watched it, but i decided to watch Anohana again because I figured i'd catch more the 2nd time like i did when i rewatched Toradora, Nagi no Asukara and Chuunibyou demo koi ga shitai. I started crying at Poppo's line "I see the river taking my friend, AND I CAN NEVER MAKE IT STOP!" and they didn't stop until about 10 minutes after the episode was over. I'm not even a little ashamed to admit this is the first anime to ever make me cry and even now my eyes water up listening to this song and typing that quote up above because I can hear Poppo's voice and feel him breaking when he said it
I remember when Annarou (dont know how exactly to spell it) went to visit Jintan, and Menma hugged her with a smile on her face and Annarou went: "I feel pressure on my shoulders" or something, I hope the subtitles were right😭😭😭

she was already dead at the end so how it's the saddest death in the anime? also, does somebody in the anime died? besides Jintan mom which was in basically the same situation of Menma, she was ALREADY dead. The only sad part is actually see her go even when she wanted to stay with her friends.

不知道為什麼我比較喜歡以前的鋼琴穿透的音效。總是可以讓我思緒有回應，但明顯聽得出收音沒有現在新鋼琴的好，畢竟我是外行，不懂什麼是高品質，但我知道我喜歡這個音樂帶給我的反饋跟震撼，像這首歌我就可以呼籲應到RuRu彈奏的情緒，也很享受其中，我好像很久沒留言了，我有看到直播Ru尋求一些觀眾的意見，我覺得我還是會支持Ruru的彈奏。但現在的聲音我真地找不回我當初來聽的那種深入內心的聲音。希望Ruru變得更好。我知道Ru已經很努力了，但要不要試著放鬆一下。應該會更好，辛苦了。你很棒加油

I believe I found this video around a year or so ago, when I first really fell in love with Anohana, and really anime as a whole. In that time I must’ve seen this video about 50 times, I don’t know what it is, but something about this beautiful rendition of the song is just as impactful, if not more so, than the song itself. There just aren’t words to describe what this video means to me, and it as well as the anime it originates from will always hold a very special place in my heart.
