I'm sixty. Suddenly after some 45 years I wanted to know who/is was David Knopfler, before now he was just a name on an early Dire Straits album and I knew he was brother of Mark. So I googled and this is the first song I came accross. Great piece. And uncannily you can hear echo of the same musical genes as in Marks writing, playing and phrasing. Glad I took the plunge.

What a fab, beautiful song. It's very difficult to record a solo instrument such as the piano, so David has done it with style and ease. Very, very sorry for your loss, David. x
Just saw Mark Knopfler at the Ryman in Nashville, TN . The similarity in voice and music style is amazing. I am familiar with the brothers' story. I wonder what music they would have created over these many years.

I haven’t heard David since the 80’s,sounds great though,I guess it would be worth checking out the rest of his albums,certainly has the Dire Straits feel to it.
