WOW Tammy.........I'm 49 & as a kid in the early 80's I LOVED RC cola with pizza!!!!!! On Friday nights, growing up Friday night was pizza night in my house & we ALWAYS had RC in my house & we had it with pizza........great memory from my childhood......now I need to go get a bottle of RC & 2 slices of pizza!!!!!!!!!!!

They do make diet... I think it’s called diet rite... we serve rc cola where I work
We have had Diet Rite. I have never heard of one named Diet RC. I wonder why they used a different name for the diet version.
@@TamiDunn I think it came out about the same time as Tab, when it was trendy for each soda to have it's own name. Now diet rite is called Diet Rite Pure Zero Cola.
Thank you for a fun review. I enjoy A&W diet cream and root beer. I drink soda once in a blue moon. The lemonade looks like a fun drink. Great for a hot summer day for some. Wish it came in diet or zero sugar.

Actually, Diet Rite by RC Cola was the first mainstream diet cola, introduced in 1958. I remember, I was a teenager and very happy to be able to drink a cola with no calories. 😁 Tab, by Coke was next. Early 60's I think.
Oh I love cream soda my favorite. I have tried it in a float with vanilla ice cream oh so good
I am sipping on a Sunkist Berry Lemonade right now, and I definitely taste the lemonade!
The color of that Sunkist is awesome.
There was a kool-aid that was the exact same color that I used to drink back in the early 00s.

Being a pepsi drinker i loved RC but like coca cola it started messing with my stomach had to stop drinking it kind of a dissapointment because i really liked the flavor. Great review never tried the blue sunkist I'll have to try it it looks good.

I love RC. Cherry RC is my all time favorite.
I used to drink RC all the time in the 80's and early 90's. I will still take it over Pepsi, but they definitely changed the formula at some point.Diet Rite used to be their diet brand. I think they have Diet RC now, but not sure.
Haven't had RC cola in a long time. I searched and did find a diet RC cola. Oh, Tami maybe RC not tasting like Coke and not Pepsi is the reason I stopped drinking it, but I need to try it again. I'm not a fan of cream soda or Sunkist sodas. Good review.

RC does have RC No Sugar. It does not say Diet on the bottle it just says RC No Sugar.

RC and Tab were put out at around the same time. Eventually, at some point RC put out Diet Rite, I to like RC cause, I to prefer Coke over Pepsi. However, I prefer Tab over Diet Rite. For me Pepsi is way too sweet.I like when, Pepsi had Lemon Lite, the Lemon cut out the sweetness. I to grew- upon Mike Sell chips, ooooh that smell when, you open the bag. My favorite are the Groovy.

Diet Rite is RC's diet drink. It was introduced in 1958.

I have not seen the no sugar yet. But, I have tried the A&W no sugar and Sunkist Orange no sugar. They are both really good.
I agree with tami, I like the the bite that coke has. it goes good when you're eating fried it greasy foods. at least that's what my grandfather always used to say 😂

I thought I commented on this? I guess not. I love RC and it's my preferred soda. I've always heard of it being popular in the south, but I live in Pennsylvania and I've been drinking it for 25 years. My Walmart sometimes carries it, but my Dollar General always carries it. BUT it's GOT to be from a can. I think it tastes different from the plastic bottle.

I'm a Pepsi person but I used to interchange Pepsi and RC and also Shasta cola.
I really like RC, but my dad worked for Pepsi and got to bring home a fee case of it every week, so i grew up only having Pepsi, and nothing else. Now i never drink Pepsi products because i just had way too much of it when i was younger :-)
I have an uncle who works for Pepsi. He always brought it home to his wife too :)
The Sunkist Berry Lemonade sounds really good. I would love to try it! Unfortunately, they don't even sell that particular brand here. ☹ I was wondering, have you ever tried Jone's Berry Lemonade? If so, does it taste similar to Sunkist's version? Which one do you prefer?
I have not. We don't get much from that brand in our area.
I was raised on RC cola too but when I got older then I switched over to Pepsi and now I'm a Pepsi drinker but every once in a while I'll drink a Coca Cola.

The A&W Cream Soda to me tastes very creamy almost like a vanilla ice cream bar.
I’m gonna have to be on the lookout for that Sunkist. Not sure if it’s dollar store exclusive. I don’t really go into dollar stores that much anymore. Also, I’d need to try RC again. I haven’t had that stuff since about 1995-2000 year range, which is when I was a kid and when I was oblivious to the Coke and Pepsi war. Plus back then I was undecided on whether I was Team Coke or Team Pepsi. Pop was pop back in the day. I also think I was more into fruitier flavors of pop like orange and grape and Faygo Red Pop when I was a kid. Not so much cola. The only dark flavors I drank was root beer or Dr. Pepper. I’d also drink Sprite a lot too. Dew/Mello Yello was questionable. I think my parents kept me away from Dew as much as possible as a kid because of the amount of sugar and caffeine in it. I was hyper enough without it. But I would like to give RC another chance, especially since I was a kid the last time I had it. And I have changed a lot since I was a kid, especially with foods. Prefer eating homemade stuff than fast food. When I was a kid I loved fast food. So it would be interesting to revisit RC. I only drank it a few times though as a kid, which probably further explains why I can’t recall the taste. I usually stuck with Coke or Pepsi products or the cheap brands like Faygo, Shasta, and Walmart’s brand. Not sure where I’d find RC in my town. I don’t really see it. Unless it’s because I’m not looking for it. Maybe I might see it everywhere now after watching this review.
Dollar general is quite different than your average dollar store though. (At least IMO) They carry all kinds of name brands in regular size as compared to the cheap brands or reduced sizes at the dollar store. Plus they always drop exclusive name brand chips, sodas, and candy bars. So far it does seem like this is exclusive to there but either way Dollar General slaps.

I live in Upper Michigan. There is lots of variety here. Not sure if you are talking about Pepsi vs Coke as well. I know there are some states in the U.S. that are more Coke while others are Pepsi. Here in Upper Michigan, you can find both Coke and Pepsi. I think it’s split evenly. Mostly all fast food has Pepsi while diners and non-fast food have Coke products. The movie theater in my town is Pepsi products, but I see an even amount of Pepsi and Coke signs. Upper Michigan also has brands like Shasta and Faygo. I think RC is in the area, but I don’t really pay attention to that. I mainly just stick to Coke and Pepsi. I’m more of a Coke person, so I definitely check out the Coke products first, but I’m always swinging by the Pepsi products to see if there is new Dew or Pepsi flavors. I kind of walk passed everything else and do selective vision.
@@projectpat8807 awesome!! Michigan seems nice but given the situation I wouldnt go lol but yeah only choices are pepsi vs coke very few stores have different type brands of soda like RC or Mellow Yello or Faygo so I want to know a store that carries a variety of sodas and such.

I'm late to the party but when you mentioned RC tastes like licorice that put me right off of it. I can't stand the taste of black licorice and it pops up regularly in pizza and in root beer and other things. I learn real fast which ones have that tastes and make sure I don't get them again!

You're missing out. But you can easily find them at your local Walmart or target.
