    Left < centre > right application on a full torso has the curves working with you, top/bottom has the curves fighting the paper.

    Photoshop divide slice tool for multipage stencils is easier. Thanks for the 2 stage application tip 👍😊🇦🇺

      But photoshop is a lot more expensive so this option helps those who are on a lower budget too 👍

    This was a good tutorial. Glad I have affinity. Imagine having to do this stencil by hand.

    one quick question : when a back piece require mutiple sitting for lining or straight on shading , do you re-apply another stencil on the next sitting ?

    • @ThatTattooShow
      @ThatTattooShow  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can either ‘chicken scratch’ line the whole thing using light grey wash to make a ‘permanent stencil’ or re-apply it in sections for each session.
      Both ways work. Just depends which you prefer. Personally I prefer to rough all the lines in. Looks like cr*p to start with but I find it easier 👍

    Did you ever figured out how to print continuously with the brother roll for the desired length? This stencil could be then done in 2 long parts right?

    • @ThatTattooShow
      @ThatTattooShow  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I don’t like the roll stencil paper it needs to be glued along the length to be really usable

    you guys should invest in a cheap paper trimmer, they are awesome for cutting those straight crop lines on the paper and then taping them together instead of using just scissors.

    Symmetrical Large/wrap around neck mandala transfers.. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ getting em straight, both sides, horizontally and vertically.. and clean, with all lines adjoining.. man, tgats the hard part.. if it goes on wrong, especially on men, due to the stubble shaved area, is a nightmare getting it off..
    the actual tattooing is pretty simple.. bit awkward as is a tight area, but achievable.
    Insisions help.. but my experience has been that these are challenging stencils yo lay as NEED to be as perfect as poss.. or they just look whack.. even if executed with goid lining.. the untrained eye will see the flaws..
    Getting g a symmetrical transfer on a non flat.. multi angled area 🤯🥴
    Any tips you've learned along the way would be appreciated... I'm always keen to hear others experience.. but if those I talk to.. everyone is like 🤦‍♂️😒😖

    How would you go about reaplying the stencil on a second session if its going to be done in multiple sessions?

    • @Violaetor

    Asking myself if you See a difference in applying the stencil on a standing person vs one laying down. You think the Position affects the stencil??
    Thx for the Video anyways

      I have seen many very good tattoo artists who make the mistake of applying the stencil in a position that distorts the image in the normal position.. i think that the stencil must be applyied in normal,relaxing position....

    • @ThatTattooShow
      @ThatTattooShow  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I always try to position the client in the closest possible position to how the tattoo will be viewed. With large and tricky stencils even more so. Lay down with arms forward- I find - produces a stencil that distorts very little with no compromise to the application and position of the piece.
      It’s simple a case of checking once the stencil is applied, referencing the original image for unwanted distortion.
      It’s one of this jobs that gets less intimidated once you’ve done it a few times 👍

    Why not just set the size of the canvas on procreate to the exact size of however many sheets pf paper you are going to need to print on? It's pretty simple.

    • @ThatTattooShow
      @ThatTattooShow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, that’s an option too. But you’ll still need to stick them together and we find this method works best for us 👍
