This episode reminds me of two important things: It’s easier to mend a relationship with a child than a heartbroken adult ( who has to protect their hurt inner child).

💯💯 you're absolutely right!!! I wish more young men looked at the issue this way 😔 bc there are way too many young women raising children without any help from the fathers and it makes me sick!! Why wont these men be apart of these kids lives from birth bc once that child becomes an adult it'll be just as hard (if not harder) to form a trusting relationship with them bc they'll most likely be harboring so much resentment towards their dads 🙄 SMFH 🤦🏽‍♀️

@@Mecca1204 Close your leg's, or take birth control. Also, many men are taken advantage of and are lied to by these same women about not being able to get pregnant. How could a bond form if your only dating and not married to each other? Yet, it's alway's the man's fault! This is a major reason why men are leaving the west and finding real love overseas. We all tired of the games and manipulation of women.

You act as if the feelings she has aren't justified. Any person who is more concerned with being embarrassed than they are with the justified feelings of their kid doesn't deserve to have kids. Folks love to think that deadbeat parents are entitled to respect that they weren't even present to earn. The mom may have been trifling, but at least she was present, which is more than we can say for the dad. He kept trying to talk but no one wanted to hear him. He apologized. It wasn’t acknowledged. He was publicly ridiculed and rejected. He’ll go on with this embedded in his heart and memory. Men’s emotions get overlooked so often. This is a prime example here. He took accountability then what? Still rejected. Come on! How much can a human handle when their previous trauma. The fact that people still feel for someone who had the knowledge that they’re child was theirs and still didn’t fight how they should’ve is appalling. Regardless of how he feels he should’ve gotten the help he needed! It’s never a child fault for something the parents are dealing with and they shouldn’t endure such pain because of it! He still has a hard time taking accountability and would rather point out the wrongs of his child who was only a child. The way she views him now as an adult is something he caused on his own he allowed her to create this image of him and did nothing to fix it and now it’s too late.

I'm going to be honest....No one paid attention to him trying to explain her mom side of the family...If the women will be honest, when a woman is mad at her baby father, she can be messy and her family gets on board. It can be enough to push people away. My brothers ex-wife was messy, my niece was a new born I never saw her again until she was 22 and we now have an awesome relationship. We didn't point the fingers or blame we just moved on. That man has feelings too, and he's hurt as well. Did anybody here she raised her fingers up at him. Now with that being said. The fact that he knew it was his daughter, I agree as she got older he should have reached out. THERE'S ALWAYS TWO SIDES TO A STORY!

He had a legal right to his child. He thinks this young woman should be respectful to him like a daughter would be to a father but he hasn't earned it. He doesn't recognize that, she also doesn't realize how disrespectful she is to him because he is a stranger who was tasked with the responsibility to love and protect her and he failed and won't just admit to that.

He didn't specify how often because he wanted us to know his work status, and what he did for a living and how important he was... thats the part nobody is hearing. He rejected his own daughter because he couldn't control the mama and grandma and later the daughter. Fathers rights isn't a new trend, Obama didn't make it law. Its been around. I listened to both sides. He talked about her giving him the finger, and she talked about him disrespecting her decision about joining the military. Sounds to me like it went both ways. Don’t you think it’s odd he never told his kids there was a paternity test proving her to be his child and how he hesitated when asked about it? He reminds me of my father who is often incredibly insensitive with his words and actions and gives no forethought to how it might come across to other people. I had to finally accept that my relationship with him will never be one where I feel emotionally supported because he’s not that kind of person. If I need to cry my heart out I call my mother or my bff.

Yes, there are trifling women who make it extremely difficult for a man to be an active participant in their children's lives, but there are plenty of women who are very accommodating, yet the men don't even try. It's not a child's responsibility to it's our as parents to build and maintain relationships. It's our responsibility as parents to not cause pain like she is feeling. She didn't make the decision to be born but is paying for the decisions both parents made.
My son had this experience. As long as i was willing to put up with the bs from his father, he was "dad." As soon as i stopped, the relationship stopped. It shouldn't be that way.

I don’t like how a man’s emotions and feelings are never taken into account. Not giving him a pass because my father had to fight for me and he did. However my mother’s mother spoke on behalf of my father and told my mother she was wrong. I can’t imagine how hurtful and difficult it was for this man to be forced out his child’s life. He had his own life and other kids he had to be present for and probably wasn’t able to fight from different states to be in her life. Women should face jail time for keeping a good father out of his childs life. Her mother is largely to blame for her pain. I hope they work on a healthy relationship❤️

I'm torn on this one because I'm her in the same instance, but I never really got my dad's side of the story. I only can go off of what my mom said, and my dad's OBVIOUS absence. I see he was TRYING to explain, but her anger wouldn't give him a chance. She's lucky to have a sister that cares❤ I have 3, but none of them are speaking to me because of my dad. She's so childish. At least hear his side of the story. The man demonstrated a lot of maturity, plus Karamo was just all about them resolving and moving on. He should have insisted that the man be allowed to say his own side. All the crying is just emotional manipulation.

The way I see it, your perspective is based on one sided story.
Personally, I have no opinion till I hear all the sides to the story. Yeah, saying the crying is manipulation is wild, I agree. Still there's the danger of a single story. Each time the man tried to say anything, she shut him up with emotional antics, if that's not immature and manipulative, I wonder what else is.

he seems extremely stubborn. The daughter owes him nothing. He hasn't done a thing for her.. i could imagine he reached out whenever he felt like it.. and showed up just like how he showed up on this couch. Blaming her mama and her grandmother.. those people owed him nothing. He doesn't care to take responsibility.. he cares if he is respected. Hearing he knew for sure since she was 2 yrs old that she was his child was hard to hear.. his personality is the issue, he's to stubborn to own his part. The older daughter clearly has told him... he is wrong, continues to be wrong but He has decided he is right. In my head a younger version of this man might have been hell on wheels. Why would the grandmother ask why is this man here if he was never an issue or a problem in the past? People love telling you the parts they want you to hear .. he didn't show up for his daughter and he has a whole granddaughter he doesn't know doing the exact same thing to her.. he can't have it his way so he walks away.

The only thing I wish would have happened here is that they went back and acknowledged the Dad’s hurt. He started crying in the end. Men’s emotions get looked over for the exact reason of what happened on this stage. Yes he’s stubborn. Yes he was wrong. However, he did apologize. She didn’t acknowledge his apology. He kept trying to speak about his pain but no one wanted to hear it. You cannot heal a relationship if the focus is solely on the child. Adults can have arrested development themselves and need their inner child healed. This man has once again experienced rejection and it was done publicly. I would have love to have seen both of their pain acknowledged and not just him being asked for an apology but allow him to speak about his traumatic experiences as well. The healing is for the both of them individually and together. God bless them both.

My nephews Mom carried him out to my car by one leg and arm with screaming, “no, no…etc”. She said he’ll be alright. She knew me and the character of the family when it came down to the children. That child now is in their 40’s and I call him my dawg😂😂😂. We’re partners to the end all because he doesn’t have a bitter mother and she has my upmost respect.

It won’t work with courts being pro women. There’s a point when the battling over a child in court affects the them just as bad. Unmonitored conversations take place in their household that mold a child’s attitude I was question why did I do so much and not receive the acknowledgment of who I was or what I do. The matriarch of the family, who was highly a respected elder by ALL the young ones said, “they are going to become a product of their environment”. I in return got defensive, but over 20+ yrs later that became the real. That matriarch has been gone 13yrs and all I can do is look toward the clouds and say, “I apologize, you called it”. Do you know the meaning of fighting a no win situation? Well, it does not escape scenarios involving a child. Someone has to be the wise one and notice the tolls it takes on the little ones and “stand still”. Elders say love them from afar and they will be back, if not pray always for God to cover them.
