- Throughout my music journey, I covered a few influential songs with my little arrangement twists and decided to remaster and release them.

👴 Old Composer Reactions 🤘
I love that they added Josh to the chorus, his vocals were one of my favorite parts of As I Lay Dying, back when he was in that band.
What a steal for SB ! 😊
It's why I actually prefer the live performances of Jaded to the studio one, Josh's backing vocals are a lot more prominent and it adds a lot of texture to it
I love living in this age of “you need good headphones to get all this” metal 🤘
This (plus Soft Spine) make me very excited for their new album! 🔥🔥
We'll always love watching you react to music, Geebz. Never change.
"emotional fireworks"! Great way to describe it. Very good groove to the song....atmospheric, emotional, melodic. Beautiful song.
Shoutout to Versa Films for this beautiful video. Also shoutout to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan where it was shot! Love seeing epic shit like this come out of my province! 🇨🇦
It has a lot of similarities to one of their early tracks "Blessed Be", but even more so and with added extra bits/ambiance.
Yes and for me reminds me of some “Constance “ undertones
Blessed Be, Perennial, Jaded and Trust Fall. All in one song.
Thanks Geebz. I really liked this track and I haven’t heard it before. I loved your take on the mix. Also, I’m still here😊
This is so beautiful! An up beat version of Constance!
Great reaction, Great points 🤘
Jinjer could have gone there with "I Speak Astronomy" , but they are so technical they strayed away. Jinjer would be a bigger band if they used their prodigious writing skills to give Tati more room to breathe life into the songs with more melody, but they are technical metal band. The fans, including me? might revolt? Nahhhh! I wouldn't, because Tatiana has such a lovely lovely singing voice.
But back to Spiritbox, they are killing it! Theur laid back instrumental elements with an almost counter melody? that Courtney sings? IS perfection! And this song displays that perfectly. Just a great song.
It's really interesting that I can totally see this appealing to non-metalheads, and a metalhead like me can enjoy it more than Soft Spine.
I got into Spiritbox before Eternal Blue, when they did more complex, proggy stuff. The Mara Effect is still my favorite thing they've done. It's been hard to enjoy the simpler, more accessible sound they've been going into for the last few years, and Soft Spine was really in and out of my ears. But this track, aside from just how good it sounds, felt more uniquely constructed. I like that it takes over a minute and a half for the song to "come around" again and begin the second verse, but you also pointed out how quickly the hook comes back for the second go, and it's perfect. I hope the rest of their new album is more like this.
Benn waiting for this reaction.
That was really good. Aloha.
I did notice that about the drums but I think that is how they wanted it with the mix of electronic lofi drum and other elements. I think the instrumentals stay in a narrow lane allowing Courtney and Josh's vocals to layer on top and not get drowned out.
Definitely agree, it seems very stylistic.
I really do think this is one of the best, if not THE best, Spiritbox songs.
Yeah the two guys who mixed and mastered this album are top notch in the industry and known for it.
Thank you Geebz
That ended had me thinking of the ending of the song Broken Vessel from her first band Unicron.
long time watcher, 1st time commenter. (I think) A decomposition suggestion here. upcoming band called Vianova. track is Hypersomniac. Guarantee you'll love them as much as we love you!
Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷! You need to listen to the new Poppy album and the latest singles from Novelists (the french band).
Spiritbox has invented Stargaze Metal
I think this song, though it sounds like it should cross-over and be easily accessible to the masses, is still too heavy for that to happen. The modern-day cross-overs are also rarer than ever due to how important playlists are to something like Spotify. If your song ends up on a metal playlist, it's less likely to end up on a rock playlist. So the only way for it to end up on a more mainstream playlist is for the song to blow up so much it falls into the range of most-played and ends up on that playlist. This is something Ghost's Mary On A Cross did. It found the actual pop playlist charts.
Yeah I could see this being their “Metallica enter sandman” to hit through mainstream
Weird question to ask. They've been doing this for like 7 years.
More modern metal / alt-metal, not really metalcore. Pretty solid track tho
I don't usually like Spiritbox and I don't like jinjer AT ALL...but this tune is BADASS!!!
Spiritbox is light years ahead of Jinjer... not even close
@@joeshmow9097they're totally different
I'm not big fan Spiritbox but this definitely a banger
Ngl Courtney's voice bored me here. This really breathy trend isn't for me.
Its not a trend. Listen to their first ep
