If you haven't already, please consider liking and subscribing to the channel. We have an incredible audience base here on the show and I hope that you will consider becoming a part of it.
As always, I want to thank you for taking the time to stop by the channel and tune in to today's episode. It is truly appreciated.
Made this one (Dump truck) in the past and I liked it. We all do it in our own way and that's why it's fun to see how you do it.
Well I hope that you enjoy the series. It's going to be a long one. Thanks for tuning in this week.
Hi Kenny, better get the popcorn ready, it’s going to be a long ride. Keep on truckin.
This one is definitely going to be a long ride Philip. I am currently producing part 7 and it still doesn't look like a truck. LOL. Thanks for tuning in.
Awesome! I love these multi-part builds.
That's a good thing Joel because you're in for a big one on this project. Thanks for tuning in. I hope you still like it when it's on part 18. LOL.
@@acutabove_woodworkings You can count on me. LOL
Think of trying one. What a good one to start instead of jumping it a big one. Like your videos.
I hope you do try one of these models Craig. Good luck on your project and thanks for tuning in to the show.
Love these builds
I hope you still love them after this extensive one David. It looks like it's going to be well into the double digits for episodes. Thanks for tuning in this week.
i like the detailed explanations and cuts, I learn from them !!
Glad to hear it. Thanks for tuning in to the show.
My favourite shows. Voting already #1 for 2024👍👍. Waiting for next episode of this build
LOL. Vote early. Vote often. LOL. Thanks for tuning in Marcelo.
One of my favorite videos is watching you making Toys and Joys stuff. I make them also.
Well I hope you enjoy the series. Thanks for tuning in to today's episode.
+1
I also don't care how many parts it takes, I'll watch them all!
Glad to hear it. Thanks for tuning in to the show.
My first time watching one of your videos. I really like the model you’re building and think you are offering great tips on the woodworking itself and doing it safely
Glad that you like it. I hope you will continue to enjoy the series. Thanks for tuning in to the show.
I have been looking forward to this series. As always your fantastic instructions with highlights to safety in the shop being number one. I did go through your videos looking for the small parts jig you have attached to your mitre square as I have the same mitre square and will be adding this jig. Thank you for the great content and good examples to being safe in the shop.
That show was never produced Brian. I am thinking that after this series is done, I will produce a show to make one of these and provide a pattern for it. Thanks for tuning in to the show this week.
Ah! Kenny you doing it again 🥰🥰 absolutely my favorite shows on your channel are your model builds!… not to say everything else is gold too👍🏻
Model builds are exhausting to film Gary and there's a reason that I don't do more of them. I hope you enjoy this series because I may not survive it. LOL. Thanks for tuning in.
@@acutabove_woodworkings precisely why I’ve never bothered to have a crack at TH-cam, I wouldn’t have the patience nor the energy to put myself through it. But I am in awe of guys like you who do👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.. thanks Kenny
Trying to catch up on your videos, so I am just getting to this build! Love your model builds for all the various tips and tricks you show.. I have this set of plans ….. maybe this summer I will get around to building this model 🤠🇨🇱
I hope you do Randy. I've never built this one before but I am enjoying it so far. It has its own set of challenges and the challenges are what I enjoy the most. Thanks for tuning in.
Kenny, so glad to see this build start. I have been following the build on Facebook..so cool. You know how much I enjoy your model builds, thanks for doing this.
The hard part Paul will be trying to keep the videos going and be able to work far enough ahead that I won't fall behind and have to stop the build. It's a challenge for sure. Thanks for tuning in and for the kind words.
A great video and an interesting project. Although some of the pieces seem like "no brainers", you showing your work on even the simple pieces will give everyone, regardless of experience, a better grasp of how to make the pieces and, in some cases, show them an alternative approach. Terrific work!!! I can't wait to see the next episode and all the follow on chapters.
I've thought that some pieces were no brainers as well but I have had many specific requests to show those pieces as well due to the fact that what might be a "no brainer" for me, might be difficult for someone who doesn't have the same experience. Thanks for tuning in to this week's episode.
Sigh, another model build ... hold on ... another model build, woooohooooooooooo 😁😁😁😁
Seeing the completed model is one thing, but actually seeing all the pieces being made and assembled is fantastic ... looking forward to the rest of this particular build 👍
I hope you enjoy the series Barry. It's going to be a very long one so hopefully folks won't get bored. Thanks for tuning in and for the kind words.
G’day Ken I’ve been waiting for you to start another T/J build and a# usual a great start really looking forward to following this build.
Regards
From OZ
I hope you enjoy it Shane. It's going to be pretty extensive and I will probably take breaks during the series to showcase smaller project but we will play that by ear. Thanks for tuning in and for taking the time to leave your comment. It's appreciated.
First to Post. Have been wanting this build from you for awhile, they are my favorites, you inspired my building four Semi truck Toys and Joys, WS Semi.
These model builds are great. Thanks
I hope you still feel that way after this one is done because it's gonna be a doozy. Making every piece is going take some time and who knows how many parts. I can say that I am just editing part 7 and I don't see much progress on the build. Thanks for tuning in.
Great job Kenny, this is the first model build I have seen you do. I was lucky to find this video and I hope that I will be able to see the rest of this build. You show us how to really cut to the line. Thank you for sharing.
Well you picked a heck of an extensive build to join in on Rick. This is going to go well into the double digit episodes and hopefully folks won't get bored with it. Thanks for tuning in to the show.
Just came across your channel today Kenny and I really like this project! Subscribed and looking forward to following the build!
Dave
I hope you continue to enjoy the series Dave. Thanks for tuning in and for subscribing. Glad to have you here as a viewer and look forward to reading your future comments on the show.
Enjoy learning your techniques
Glad to hear it Dave. Thanks for tuning in to the show.
i love your build series of videos. .. i made this one the year before last but figure i will always learn something more from watching your series .. i adjusted the plan and didn't do the lazy axle as they are not very common here (and of course made the truck cab right hand drive)
Those are good modification though David. Make the model your own. That's the important part. Thanks for tuning in.
Hey Ken, great build. I have both of these plans. Am looking forward to seeing your build on this. Really like your videos and the way you explain everything. Looks like you have maybe got a few new tools to play with also. Be safe and have a great year!! David
I'm not sure which tools are new and which are not anymore David. LOL. Thanks for tuning in. I hope you enjoy the series. It's gonna be a long one.
Hi Kenny, great start for 24 with a model build. As you’ve said about ideas or suggestions for shows, maybe a bit of a tool intro for a project like this for others that may be starting out.
I.e in this week we will be using the scroll saw, the under bench router and even some of the measuring devices you have. (A bit like baking where you have all your ingredients out before you start.)
Cheers 🇦🇺
that's a great idea Troy. I like it. I have done a show in 2023 about the tools of model making. If you're interested, you can find it here. th-cam.com/video/TmKASmFbAtQ/w-d-xo.html
I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in. I hope you enjoy the series.
@@acutabove_woodworkings I haven’t stumbled across that one yet but I will look at that link. Cheers 🇦🇺
@@troycogan1030 Hope you enjoy it.

Maestro Creador muy bien ,,boy seguir viendo este trabajo me interesa mucho señor,,,,
Usted puede facilitar los planos mm talvez
Gracias mi amigo
The link for the plans are in the description of the video. You can order them from there. Thank you for tuning in .
This is going to be a long project, but I'm sure it's going to be great.
Definitely a long one Mark. I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for tuning in.
It’s funny how the table saw is the most talked about tool in woodworking but yet the band saw seems to be the best bet for a lot of processes. Back to the table saw lol, how has that incra miter gauge been holding up? How often do you need to re calibrate it? Is it easy to calibrate? Really sick of the sawstop miter gauge and I’m ready to donate it to the trash can.
The SawStop mitre gauge is a piece of junk and I hate it. I even stated in my review of the SawStop that for a saw that costs as much as it does, they could have provided a better mitre solution. The INCRA is amazing and although it was expensive I absolutely love the thing. It took a little while to calibrate it (about 30 minutes) but it's been great ever since. I only had to recalibrate it once when I dropped it and knocked it out of whack. The nylon bushings do need to be replaced from time to time but I have found that I can 3D print them for pennies a dozen. As long as you use 100% fill in the 3D printing, they last pretty much as long as the nylon ones do except they are ABS. I hope this helps Randy. I wouldn't trade my INCRA gauge. It's been amazing. Thanks for tuning in.
@@acutabove_woodworkings your review of the sawstop is what sealed the deal for me buying it. I can’t wait to see this dump truck completed, this thing is going to look amazing, I also am looking forward to watching this build happen. This is going to be a great group of shows.
Great vid ! I’ve been making toys this winter from Toy Making plans , I’m going to check out the plan your making on today’s video. The measuring tool you are using could you share the name and brand. I’d like to get one . Thank you
I am assuming that you are referring to my T-rule. They are made by INCRA and are available at most woodworking suppliers or directly from incra.com. I got mine at Lee Valley Tools. I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in.
@@acutabove_woodworkings Thank you , that’s exactly what I’m looking for 👍🏻
Howdie awesome workmanship I am going to ask you how do l get the book ya talking about let me know when you get time and again keep these plans coming glad ya teach us so easygoing carry on from Canada 🍁 SK later 😊
I'm not sure which book you are referring to. Got any more information on it? Thanks for tuning in.
@@acutabove_woodworkings Toys and Joy's hand book is that right name for this build thks for your time Paul later from Canada 🇨🇦 SK later keep it up 👆
Yeah! Truth be told the model builds are about the only videos I watch 100% of each. I just really enjoy watching them. Plus I have a boat load of Toys and Joys plans I have not built yet.
Other videos I often bounce out before the end. Sorry about that
No need to apologize Dan. I produce this show to help everyone and it's everyone's choice as to how much or how little they want to watch. The fact that you tune in at all is very much appreciated by me. So for that, I thank you. I hope you enjoy the series.
Hi, thanks a lot for the video, im a beginer and my problem is i use cms instead of inches. when in the pattern says 3 1/4" does it means 3 x 1/4" or does it means 3" plus 1/4". Thanks in advance. Regards.
It means 3" plus 1/4". I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in to the show.
@@acutabove_woodworkings that helps a lot. thank you so much. btw i love your pirography works...;)
@@EzKuLaKa Glad to hear it. Thanks for the kind words.
Love these builds
Glad to hear it Vicki. I hope that you will continue to like this one as the series continues because this one is going to be LONG. Thanks for tuning in.
