Great idea but it needs more density in the rhythm guitars. Also, you're losing the main interest of the song, the female voice: why not replacing her voice by a guitar solo? Let the guitar tell the silent story is a technique Thin Lizzy's Gar Moore relied on in Parisienne Walkways and it was super efficient. Possibilities are endless, go for it Ritchie.

I liked this version, but after running through a couple of listens, I tweaked the speed to .75 and oh my wow!
Aside from the obvious limitations on youtube's sound quality when using those changes, slowing down a bit added a richer complexity and revealed the gutteral nature of those wails I would have otherwise missed.
