- 昨年の東京モーターショーで展示されていたCB1100EX、4年目を迎えたCB1100が2014年2月20日に発売された。同日、この2台に乗ってきた。
HondaのCBシリーズと言えば、CB750から 半世紀以上継続しているHonda空冷インライン４シリーズの代名詞的な存在。空冷に こだわって4年前にデビューしたCB1100は その乗りやすさで、多くのファンを獲得した。
そのCB1100を さらにトラディショナルなイメージで仕上げたのがCB1100EX。ベースのCB1100とは実は燃料タンクのデザインも異なり、最大の特徴はスポークホイールを履くこと。さらにはマフラーは左右2本出しとされている。だけの違いだと思っていたらそれが大きな間違い。
スポークホイールにマッチングさせた足周りと、エンジンセッティング等々のおかげで、しっとりと落ち着いた走りと、6速化に最適化されてエンジンによって、CB1100とは異なる仕 上がりの一台となっていた。また、細部まで質感にこだわった車体は見事な仕上がりを見せていた。
一方のCB1100は、4年を経て、さらに乗りやすく扱いやすいモデルに進化していた。
初代から、誰にでも勧められるバイクであったが、エンジンのリファインを中心に、
さらに軽快に扱いやすさを増し、6速ミッションの採用でも、 低中速の強化によって単に燃費性能の向上を図るだけでなく、走行性能の向上も実現されていた。
国内のみならず海外での人気も上々のこのモデル、新型も人気となることに間違いなさそうだ。

My CB1100EX 2016 is pretty much my favourite motorcycle of all of my bikes! And for me this video demonstrates why the stock pipes sound the best.
Bought a 2014 cb1100s new from my local dealership in 2017 i love this bike...
おすすめから。 ノーマルマフラー音。いいなぁ。 自分はサイレンサー部変えてあるけど
たまにノーマルの音も恋しくなるなぁ。いちいち変えるのめんどいからこまごま変えたりしないけど
無性にノーマル音が恋しくなる時がある。（とくに暖気OK後のアイドリング時） ・・・やっぱCB1100ノーマル音がいい証拠やん。

旭風防にモリワキのショート管が定番になりそうな気がする。エンジンは黒塗りもあったほうが良いと思います。

Scott Barnett Isn't there enough race replica's on the market, its good to see a bike that actually looks like a roadgoing bike, and not something that looks like it belongs to the track.
Give us a CB500four air cooled.
$700 - $800 FOR A VALVE ADJUSTMENT IS A BIT TOO MUCH. ESPECIALLY WHEN VALVE ADJUSTMENTS (SHIM UNDER BUCKET KIND) ARE REQUIRED EVERY 8,000 MILES.

talked to a mechanic that does maintenance and custom builds on mainly Honda's....he said they almost never need adjusting.

This is a thing of Big Interesst for me - in a Very good Motorbike Garage i ask the Meckanic Master about this Point of Service - he told me : if you dont drive as a professional racer the Motor needs Valve adjust all 30.000 km - hope it was helpfull to you ?

I sold my CB years ago for something different, something expensive and more maintenance expensive
If you want something bad, you pay for it, because you know what to expect.
So all this bullshit about expensive maintenance on this CB is a non issue, its a Honda, it should be reliable anyway, so you shouldnt be bothered too much, let alone be worried about expensive valve adjustments.
