SoundMap Ensemble is a contemporary music group focused on promoting, developing and producing creative sound projects. We use creative spaces as a way to empower communities by art, by promoting artists, creating new works, developing the concert experience, and building resilient, interconnected communities. Based in Austin, SoundMap invests in New Music through Performance, Recordings, Commissions and Educational programs. Our programming focuses on the issues of our time, providing opportunities to underrepresented communities and young artists, and connecting local, national and international production. This range of activities impacts the public, musicians, audiophiles, contemporary artists, and youth. Our goal is through creativity to build a vision of the future.
