Very good explanation of CCU chains. I been wondering how to do this and found very complicated guides. Your video was very simple to follow. Thank you sir.

I don't know why so many people are mad, but I think this is a good guide for someone new that wants to a) support the development of Star Citizen, and b) wants to get the most value for their project support.
Also, for those reading that didn't want to watch the video: You only need to spend $45 USD and you get the game and a starter ship. Earn all the other ships in-game if you want to, pledge extra if you want to support the project (and follow the advice of this video to maximize the value of your pledge). Either way, have fun!

While the video is great and I'm glad it's explained as well as did. It also shows the issue within the game, having a store so "complex" it takes a 16 min video to explain how it works and how to make use of your money most efficient. Imagine how long time it takes a "normal" SC buyer to understand all this explained in the video trying to do research on its own.. If I want Starfield I just pay for the standard edition, finished.

Oh Gods, this is a clever way to do a subscription system without realising you're subscribing to a game that's in pre launch state. It also penalises people that don't know the system & seems a tad unfair for the alpha subscribers who have persistently subbed each month to support the project as they don't have the lasting items (or do they get gifted items each month permanently? I have no idea). Meh it is an interesting Mini Game though and if you do it monthly without going nuts it's like playing EVE Online on a sub. Just hope the game launches well & has good receivership. Nice guide btw, thank you. Why keep the ship without upgrading it as you go btw? Is it better to leave it as the source ship with upgrade in mind?

If you want to reduce your exposure, two companies, "CCU-Game" and "Star Hangar" will let you do just that, you can sell your ships for cash on those platforms, as well as buy ships.
CCU-Game used to just be a utility, but now they also sell ships. I didn't verify if they also buy...

haha, that is too funny and spot on. And don't overlook CIG's sly stretch goals, you couldn't vote down.. A lot of backers fell for that trick, to vote which stretch goal should be done first, but "no thanks" was not an option! They have literally zero incentive to release, as cash sales will end.

Star Citizen went all in on selling ships for meme amounts of money, but 600 million and over a decade later, npcs literally cant even sit in a chair correctly, missions dont work half the time, and they had to make a no support ticket required character reset because game breaking bugs are so common. But they will absolutely make it easier for you to impulse buy a ship thats on sale instead of making the game even remotely playable to earn aUEC in game and buy ships that way. Its a genius way of getting sales, i guess.
Edit: Your "prime example" is a perfect example of how predatory this system is, all that buying and shuffling yet still paid 250 dollars for a single ship for a game that is fundamentally broken...gaming is a joke these days.

Just buy what you want to fly as your primary ship, earn the other ships in game and when you get bored of it go play Elite for a bit.

The game is too unstable,30K's all the time. $200 to $700 for a ship. Gangs of Greefers, oh that's right, sorry, Pirites ruining my gameplay. I would need my head examed.
