In this case 4 reasons would have been sufficient. 😂 But in all seriousness, and not considering the sticker price, the only thing that scares me about a luxury European SUV is the abusive cost of maintenance and repair.
Had a BMW that cost thousands to constantly repair and eventually had it all fixed by BMW for being faulty. So I get that. My question is this: If you can't afford 1,000 Measley dollars per year for basic maintenance, why get any car?
Awesome suv. I have a X5 M50i and I came from a GMC Yukon Denali, and while the Yukon was nice, GMC really needs to stop outsourcing the interior plastic to toys-r-us. It feels so generic and cheap, not what a Denali should feel like. I know it’s all about weight savings but d@mn, make it feel premium and not like it’s gonna snap if you pull on the handle too hard. Guess GM will never learn that people spend most of their time inside the vehicle and not looking at the outside or talking about how big the engine is.
I test drove it and a Benz GLS and the X7 drove as quickly and as light as an X3 while Benz GLS felt heavy and had pickup lag but both SUVs are priced at ~$170k in Canada 🇨🇦

Definitely depends on how much money the person makes. If you bring in $3.6 million a year from being an entrepreneur in your field, which isn’t difficult to do, then this car would be worth it to some.
If it's your primary mode of transportation to work then the depreciating value can be written off on your taxes. My monthly payment on the x7 is 700/ month, but after write-offs its only 500.
It was the same in China when I lived there. But many people will take out MASSIVE bank loans to buy the car, in China at least, someone making 20k a year can take out a million dollar loan.
