This is THE song from those times! Great song, awesome band...and everyone was on shoulders at the Grebo gigs and possibly quite a few were "trippin' from beginning" as Mary sings. Brilliant band. My mate was a roadie for a band that used Alaska and I've been in the studio where they recorded. Also went to my mate's bands house and had to squeeze by the Bykers full backline that the boys had very kindly loaned. I wore my PFX Damnation t shirt until it literally fell off me! Good times indeed.
Immense band, changed my life as a nipper.... from a long haired layabout to a drug crazed long haired layabout ;-) Really miss their brilliant madness.
Loved this band. Went to an all-day psychedelic fest at Brixton Academy. They were first band on. By the time we got through the queue and into the gig they had finished. Not a happy bunny! Never got to see them after that. Happy days though :-)
takes me right back,,thanks fraggle for introducing me to the bykers,,wish i had seen them live ,,timeless,,fkn awesome band...Donny,gram,angie,billy,wheech,fraggle,fredo and the crew.
Shit I haven't heard this in years. Mate lent me this album when I was at school - I poo pooed it seeing as he was into Jesus Jones but pleasantly surprised with such an awesome slab of vinyl... Thanks for posting.
I love this band, went twice to see them in UK but they cancelled the shows, so I moved to their studio (alaska) in Waterloo London and I only got a free LP from a band's roadie!
Stewed to the Gills inspired me to write my 1st (pretty much, my only) movie script- @bout a couple separated with 2 children. 1 of them had autism...the great part is, I don't know why! It just inspired me in exactly that direction...that and to make my own deck of tarot cards, with GBOA inspired artwork.
Fuck, I remember that, that's when I saw them. They supported Motorhead along with some band called Sword. 1988, I think. Motorhead's Orgasmatron tour.
I know Virgin spent a fortune promoting Drill Your Own Hole, but let's face it; ''All hung up'' aside, it wasn't that great an album. THIS is the one that should have broken them - simply a stunning album.
Have a good time... all the time! 💚

Top post, one of my fave bands of all time (except Cancer Planet Mission). All my tapes are chewed so great to hear again.
