Good video but when you say it's not a refined product you are basically missing the point FlyInside intended, and that is a realistic flying helicopter more than a gaming one. I hope more developersrs take that approach.

Thanks for spreading the word about helicopters in MSFS! Flying helis is a wonderful learning experience. It's all about being fluid on the controls and staying ahead of things.
For example at around 7:15 you suddenly give full right pedal to turn to the helipad, while still at around 58 knots. The power of the tail rotor turns you around, but then the wind force against the helicopter's tail pushes you back. At least I assume that caused the "clunky wobble".
Maybe the biggest thing I had to learn was not to return the joystick to the center after every correction I made. Some people remove the springs from their joystick, but I just reduced the tension on mine. There is no real center on a cyclic, it shifts at different speeds. That's why a lot of people have been asking for a "force trim" function in the sim, that would help align your joystick center position with the current neutral position of the cyclic.
The comparison to the H145 is a bit unfair, because that one has a stability augmentation system which is similar to fly-by-wire in jets, so it makes control a lot easier. I really love the H145, but from a pure flying perspective, the 206 is a lot more exciting.
Edit: The 206 also probably has the best turbine simulation of any helicopter currently available in MSFS. In different environments, you are limited either by torque, turbine temperature (TOT) or engine RPM (N1). Try flying in hot or high environments, and you really need to look at the engine gauges.
The 47G surely feels a bit dated. But I heard there is an update coming soon that should bring it to the same standard as the 206.

Hi - thanks for the detailed comment and great insight! I'm self-confessed bad at flying helicopters and definitely don't have the right hardware for it but give it my best shot! Perhaps that's where the comparison comes in to the H145 more as an add-on rather than a comparison of actual helicopter.

I love the openable hatches, imo all modules should feature this. If nothing else for the love of the aircraft they're modelling.

Great shout, shows the detail they've tried to focus on

Just to add to this fair review, we do have our own flight model hence HeliManager, totally seperate to the one in MSFS2020. Good point on the UI and will take a fresh look at that for the future.

Thanks for sharing the addons with me, I had fun flying around Manhatten with both for a few hours today
