If it was called "to yellow a submarine" everyone would think is the best album of all times
If they were called "Godspeed you! Black Beatle" they would be one of the best bands of all time
If it were named "Lonesome Crowded Submarine" Pitchfork would make a documentary about it.
If it was called Submarines See Yellow I would give it a 10
@@PoxneliusHubertdid You know? pornhub was named after a teenagers called Pornelius Hubert
"Just Watch the video silly" :((((((((((((
Shhhh, no spoilers 😎
when you put Magical Mystery Tour above Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, I got weirdly excited
I'm glad people seem to agree :)
I cannot take that seriously.
@@modestoney1577 oh no!!!
@@Goalieguy-rq9cu trolling is a art
High quality video, good job mate.
Thank you 🙌
Magical mystery and revolver belong in front of white album, I won't argue the sgt pepper placement, let it be especially the naked album release showcased how great of an album let it be or "get back" would've been had the beatles maintained full control and focus of it.
Revolver possibly, depending on the day I'd agree with you. Never magical mystery tour though, think there's a tad too much fluffy like blue jay way, flying, and hello goodbye
Hi, the Beatles or the white album is the one I've listened the most, then Abbey Road and Revolver, I've got a soft spot for Let it be too, maybe I'm the only one! I like it a lot, Two of us is one of my favourite song
"there isn't really anything to gawk at here other than the vocals" THE BASS ON NOWHERE MAN SLAPS!
Meh, there's better in that record
Some hot takes but I enjoyed your commentary. I think a discussion of abbey road would’ve been just as warranted as the others
I genuinely don't think I have anything to add to the conversation surrounding that album if you know what I mean, also thought it was a funny ending
Appreciate the kind words my friend :)
1) Abbey Road (10/10)
2) Revolver (10/10)
3) Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (10/10)
4) Rubber Soul (10/10)
5) The Beatles (10/10)
6) Magical Mystery Tour (9.5/10)
7) Let It Be (9/10)
8) Help! (9/10)
9) A Hard Day's Night (9/10)
10) Please Please Me (8.5/10)
11) With The Beatles (8/10)
12) Beatles For Sale (7.5/10)
13) Yellow Submarine (7/10)
The top 2 is almost interchangable for me, as many of my favorite Beatles songs are on them, and I can see Magical Mystery Tour being higher, even though it's just a compilation of 5 singles and an EP from 1967 with songs that weren't on Sgt. Pepper's. It's a clear top 6 in terms of which albums are there, though! Let It Be is a bit messy, but I love it anyway. I think Help! is the best early Beatles album, but A Hard Day's Night is close, and I think their debut is really great too! I like Yellow Submarine and Beatles For Sale, but they're definitely not as great as the others. I'll mostly come back to that top 6 and probably some compilations.
Wonderful stuff. Was suprised their debut was so high but after hearing your reasoning, I see the vision
Glad to hear it!
Did you snort coke before the top 2?
😭😭
I'll be honest yeah, I was kind of dozing off because I was so fucking tired, so I chugged 140mg of caffeine and just started yelling to superficially wake myself up. I passed out for like 15 hours after the recording 😎
A Hard Day's Night is the Beatlea at the top of their game... The best self penned album of all time
Haha, funny man wastes no time and jumps right into the action
Thank you! I hate boring intros, and I hate boring conclusions, so I do neither :)
what i love about the beatles is that each album is so different that everyones list is different in some way, i have never seen someone rank a hard days night so low :(
Aweosme video so far! And thank you for not putting With the Beatles at the bottom.
Without much thought I think mine would be
1 The Beatles (Fucking amazing, it has everything and is like a chaotic journey and I even like the 2 songs that should not be named, I’m not tryna be a hipster I just think this contains their best songwriting)
2 Revolver (Possibly the greatest album ever even if its No 2, I still have to debate if this should be number 1)
3 Abbey Road (Best production and was my first Beatles album, it is phenomenal pop for 47 minutes that never stops)
4 Rubber Soul (If you removed run for your life or made it less controversial it would probably rank higher, otherwise it’s a masterpiece from start to finish)
5 Help! (Their first masterpiece - the closer, their best songs yet as of the time)
6 Beatles For Sale (Fight me, I love this album to death! Contains their best covers and the weaker tracks are cool in idea which I appreciate, it’s always really clicked with me for some reason)
7 Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (A bit overrated as you said but it’s amazing and innovative, Not sequenced great and the songwriting is better elsewhere)
8 Magical Mystery Tour (Not a UK album but contains some of their best)
9 A Hard Day’s Night (Some early masterpieces and no real duds even if Tell me why is one I can live without)
10 Please Please Me (One of the best debuts ever and very energetic)
11 Let It Be (Spector fucked this album so hard and I love Naked much more)
12 Beatles For Sale (Could’ve been a masterpiece if they were given more time and is still an all time great)
13 Yellow Submarine (How is it anything else?
Where would you place the LP “Hey Jude”?
Totally agree on Magical Mystery Tour! Very overlooked.
Although I disagree with your album listing your comments on the songs were very good.
Omg, I love the Beatles! I personally think their best album is the Love album.
The grandiose arrangement of "Long and winding road" elevates the song. "I'm Looking Through you" is an excellent song
"Magical Mystery Tour" can not be considered with the added songs from singles which would make the album great if it were not for American distributors trying to pad an album. Remember if "Penny Lane" and "Strawberry Fields Forever" were meant to be on Sgt.Pepper which would have made that album a greater album.
The "White Album" has too many weak tracks. A single album would have been better.
*watching this and realizing we have very opposing opinions on things*
"my favorite songs off pepper is mr kite i bet he hates it"

I actually respect this list. But Sergeant Pepper isn’t a concept album at all. Literally none of those songs have anything to do with one another. So other than “acting like they are a different band” … that’s where it ends.
The concept is a different band performing their setlist live, and the irony is meant to be that none of those songs could have been done live at the time.
It's a loose concept tbf, but even that aside, it doesn't need to be a concept album for me to consider the flow and how the songs work together in an album format if that makes sense
@@Dankyjabo I just think it’s a concept album about as much as Seinfeld is a show about nothing. Seinfeld was about plenty of things. Other than the SPLHCB bookends, there was no cohesion. George Martin says he regrets not putting Strawberry Fields & Penny Lane on there. So if he did, it’s not a concept album anymore? Every song is a standalone piece.
I think our definition is just different. But I think John Lennon said “it had no conceptual meaning”. I guess I lean more towards Lennon’s opinion than yours, I suppose.
Anyway, good video. You obviously know what youre talking about. And I’m a massive Beatles fan.
@@Eskewsme big up my guy 🤝
Are you Eagle Eye Cherry from Save Tonight Fame?
Your “I’m looking through” opinion makes it hard to take you seriously. “Love has a nasty way of disappearing over night” is a spiritual predecessor to “For No One”. Top five song on the album.
Mainly talking about the production side of it
@@Dankyjabo yeah I mean when the electric guitar comes in, it’s a little screechy.
i used to not enjoy let it be until i watched get back i don’t know why but i gained such an appreciation for it dont get me wrong i prefer the naked version of the album but let it be is pretty solid in my opinion
I will leave my ranking soon....
In the case of The Beatles I would say least best to best
1. Sgt Peppers
2. Revolver
3. Abbey Road
4. The Beatles
5. Rubber Soul
6. Magical Mystery Tour
7. Let It Be
8. Help!
9. Beatles For Sale
10. A Hard Day’s Night
11. Please Please Me
12. With the Beatles
13. Yellow Submarine
yay the hospital fingertips you're
I’m looking through is not filler. From what Iunderstand , the US version is messier with the false start but it’s an amazing song and you’re the only person i’ve seen saying it’s one of the worst in their whole discography.
let it be at 8th
blasphemy
1. Abbey Road
2. Revolver
3. A Hard Day's Night
4. Help!
5. Rubber Soul
6. Beatles For Sale
7. Please Please Me
8. Magical Mystery Tour
9. The White Album
10. Sgt. Pepper's
11. With The Beatles
12. Let It Be
13. Yellow Submarine
I never understood the immense love for Sgt. Pepper or the White album.
Sgt. Pepper feels a bit off, a few too many meme tracks, not their best work.
The White album has so much filler, it's almost embarrassing. (Should have never been a double album, imho)
Let It Be feels like a lazy finale. Never understood the dislike for Beatles For Sale --'No Reply' or 'I'll follow The Sun' are better than any track on Sgt. Pepper.
Best:
1. Rubber Soul
2. Revolver
3. Help!
4. A Hard Days Night
5. Beatles '65
Honorable mention: A Hard Days Night, Sgt. Pepper
Worst:
1. Let It Be
2. Hey Jude
3. Abbey Road (okay, the Harrison songs are quite good)
4. The Beatles
5. Magical Mystery Tour
Honorable mention: Yellow Submarine
Same BS list that's all over TH-cam. Maybe the next one on you tube will be more accurate
Blue Jay Way forgettable? You've never been on lsd
you speed talk is annoying .... i couldn't finish
