    Never seen a pro sharing his/her knowledge in such depth. Your channel is well deserved to recommend serious photographer around the world.

      In 4 year time i will be 80. No point taking my hard earned knowledge to the grave. But thank you for you comment, as those make all the effort worth while

    I just got this exact combo this week. I’ll do this on my next trip. I want to go light and not bring a lot so this is a great alternative.

    I just bought this lens and th GFX50s for 2000 dollars. What a camera. I am so happy and will be leaving the X mount all together. This is all I need for now.

    This video is great! I was on the fence about buying the gfx100s and 50mm f3.5 combo, but I’m now convinced.

    Hello, Mr. Leggett! I have a question please. How are you stitching these photos together into one large image? Are you doing this all in Lightroom or using a different software program and importing to LR afterwards?

    • @christopherleggettphotography
      @christopherleggettphotography  27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi, Use LR which works well with most all, but if that fails , do it in PS. View other videos of mine on the subject of DAS and you will be wiser. DAS (Dual Axis Shifting)

    I have a desire to buy this brand in the future,I think it will be nice for street photography.

      Take you word for it. You will not regret it. Am just back from a month of street photography in Kyoto Japan with the cherry blossoms. Most all shot with 100S and 50mm

    All those shots to make one picture. It sounds like you just need a wider lens. I mean, each shot is already 102 megapixels, how much res do you need? I bought the GF 45mm lens used for my "Cartier Bresson" lens. I got it used, but like new for about the price of this 50mm. It's still pretty light and compact and opens to f/2.8. Always interesting content though, keep doing what you're doing.

      The wider the lens, the more perspective distorting you get. When shooting architecturally, as i do for a living, that becomes very important. DAS for landscape photography, just makes you able to shoot like Bresson and still get the whole seen with one lens. As for the GF40, that is on my list of wants, which also includes the GF80. The GF110 and GF80 are ideal for DAS landscape shooting.

    ... very nice video, very informative ! I have got a question : how would you evaluate this GF50 lens when speed of auto-focus is concerned? I have watched a ton of videos here on TH-cam, and some say, that it is somehow slow or slower ... compared to other GF lenses (auto-focus speed average), like in the slower area of all the lenses from Fujifilm available, where (not my own experience), the GF80 is extremely slow here and GF 45-100 is pretty fast. What do YOU think about it?

    • @christopherleggettphotography
      @christopherleggettphotography  ปีที่แล้ว

      My opinion is that all GF lens suck in the focus department. Which is slower, I have never bothered to notice, as i have general indifference there. This is presently a common with all MF cameras. Fuji just announced a firmware up grade for some of its lenses, the 50mm included. Then they promptly put the 50mm upgrade on hold. I did upgrade my 110mm (favourite all time lens) and the 32-64mm lenses, but never checked to see it there was ant noticeable difference.

    Hello Christofer. I want to ask your opinion, do you think a move from 45mp FF to GFX 100s for architecture/int. design is a good move? I mean I know it' s ~stop more in DD and more mp, but probably my clients will not notice the difference. What is your opinion on that?

    • @christopherleggettphotography
      @christopherleggettphotography  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      First, forget about the clients. They seldom see anything. It should be all about want you care. That will define you as a photographer. Next, file size, although advantageous, it is far less important than Dynamic Range. The GFX has about 17 stops, which is amazing, when you think back of chemical cameras , that had 4 stops on slides and nearly 5 stops on negative film. Its a game changer for architectural photography, especially in the tropics, where i mostly shoot, with huge differences between indoor and out door light.

    Hello Christopher
    Good to see a new video from you - and one that is both very informative and very inspiring. My old version of CS6 successfully stitched 25 images a couple of weeks ago. I have yet to try 40+ images, especially with 100 MB image files and my elderly (2013) computer.

      or, good hearing from you, and thank you for the thumbs up. Either grunt or time is needed for big stitchings. Will be doing fewer videos, as work has started coming in again 💪🏻 and time will become a factor. Also, am running out of clever things to say. 😂

    The FUJIFILM GFX100S would be the perfect camera for scanning film and small photo prints, with the right lens.
    I would like to see the result of using my Rodenstock Apo - Rodagon - D 2 x 1:4.5 f=75mm lens. The recommended scale range for this lens is 1.2x - 2.5x magnification and the maximum film format 6x7 cm.

    Isn't this rather a video about stitching than about the 50mm lens? Maybe you could show your process? That would be great.
