I am so saddened by this and angry at the hypocritical and incompetent council. Surely it would be far cheaper for the council to just finish the apartments in the middle of Newcastle town centre, which remain an eyesore. in the era of carbon neutrality obsession this is a very stupid thing to do.
Let nature continue to thrive. It's done a fabulous job. Let nature take the course. Can you imagine the increase in beauty in another 8 years' time? instead of a concrete garden. And the extra strain on stretched resources.
How can we stop this from happening? The council do exactly what they want to do and yes build on green belts. It sickens me that they don't consider us residents, if I wanted to live in a built up town I would but like so many of us we choose to live in a semi rural area and now the council are going to destroy our area and our wild life for luxury homes, it makes my blood boil !!
We do it loudly. You can't make support sites or charity donations to make changes....they'll accuse you of laundering. You have to be clever. The lord's of the quarry are reading these comments right now. They have the money to derail any opposition. If the opposition is scared of monetary dictation... don't ask for charity donations for a cause you know they can destroy easily. Just piss them off humanly. Keep reporting, keep telling people socially....explain as you would do naturally. Fuck them. I'd akin them to cockroaches. You'll never be able to get rid of them. But they never want a roach in their own homes. The roach they sent will eventually make its way right back to their owners xxxxx They don't live in this quarry of hell. They don't care. Every house is a £1000 into their pension fund. I heard Hitmix Radio have had to alter their studio extension plans. It has had to be reduced in length from 30 feet to 26 feet 6. Why? GREENBELT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Councils are pension funds that reluctantly empty bins occasionally.
I think it’s an ideal location but Let’s get real affordable housing such as 150k plus first and no flats for that . Whaley’s should put half towards it to make it double. Silverdale was built on miners so the authorities should pay respect and build real affordable housing 150k and not 350k like most new developments
Is there a need for more housing? No. The reason why it is £350k homes is they are after over spill from rich South Cheshire and it raises more Council Tax.
This land will be used for affordable housing. "Little boxes with rat run streets". There'll be no extra schools or public facilities so we can all look forward to welcoming the poor from other areas.
