Really well-done job by JD Kustom.
I bought this guitar a decade ago and now it feels, sounds, and plays like a brand-new Taylor! So happy with this job and professional service. If you are as passionate about your guitar as I am, I recommend JD Kustom. Seeing this video just shows the meticulous attention to detail and care they show towards the instruments.
    Thank you JD!
    One super satisfied customer.

Total respect! Thank-you for this overview. Just reset the neck on my 314CE. Next up: re-fret. Those jumbo stainless look remarkable. Call the 214CE Good to Go for the next generation!! Thanks again.

What kind of frets are those? Medium?

What was that cutter you used? Seemed to cut SS with such ease 😮

Believe it or not, it's a Shimano spoke cutter! It works like a bomb!
      Thank you for watching 😃

Would you mind sharing what size/brand of wire you used?

We used Jescar Fretwire 57110. It turned out really well in terms of gfeel on an acoustic guitar! The string gauge used was 12-53 and it really suited the setup as a whole!

@@jdkustom Thanks! I use Jescar stainless on all of my electric builds & re-frets.

    Were those frets glued in?

    • @jdkustom

Hi and thanks for your support !
Yes we did glue the frets in, this helps them stay seated and aligned long term.

Why did you re radius the board?

    • @jdkustom
      @jdkustom  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi and thanks for watching!
We did not radius the board, we matched the radius with a radius caul in order for the frets to fit perfectly... this is very important because they are stainless steel and very hard so this is done to avoid them unseating over time.
