I swear to God I don't try to sound American or lose my Brazilian accent, it just comes naturally to me, maybe because I don't speak jn Portuguese for most of the time and unfortunately I have no Brazilian friends or family near me. I go months without speaking in Portuguese sometimes. And of course I have an accent, but it's not as thick as Gisele's or Anitta's, for example. She's 6th generation German Brazilian, I doubt her parents even know that this name has German origin, my father is 5th generation German Brazilian and don't know anything about Germany and never cared about it, most people don't, because in Brazil everyone is assimilated. Fun fact: only the US has more people with German origin than Brazil (outside of Europe of course). They say Brazil has more native speakers of German than the US but I honestly have never seen one.

She's of German origin it actually is "G" like in geese. Gisele is a diminutive of Gisela, old Germanic name. And Bündchen would be a little bundle, like a bundle of flowers.
She's 6th generation German Brazilian, I doubt her parents even know that this name has German origin, my father is 5th generation German Brazilian and don't know anything about Germany and never cared about it, most people don't, because in Brazil everyone is assimilated.
Fun fact: only the US has more people with German origin than Brazil (outside of Europe of course). They say Brazil has more native speakers of German than the US but I honestly have never seen one.

For some reason all their children in Brazil received the surname Stülpen or Stilpen. Stülpen isn't incorrect though, because in the old church books in Briedel it is also spelled Stölpen/Stülpen/Stoelb/Stül.
