I like the newer DTSs, but always that nagging doubt buying one because the Northstar engine. Do you all deal with them or they scare you away too? There is a kit you can buy (Time-Sert) with longer head bolts where I guess you drill into the block a little and it's THE FIX I'm told. I'm not trying to sell you on it, but it sure makes those Caddys more attractive. I had a 2006 DTS, but I sold it before any issues...
My Lincoln is a 2003 Signature pictured, I went to Rural King to look at power drive lawn mowers and wasnt sure it would fit in the trunk well box and all fit right in the trunk. Then I stopped at on a later date and I needed a Dishwasher, well found one at a great price and it too fit right in the trunk Amazing the size of the trunk!!! My TC rides like a dream and gets great gas mileage 22 in town and 30 Hwy at 70 mph I-4 west to Tampa from Orlando..

LOL VERY REASONABLE pricing for such a rare model classic, and for one that gets the usual Gozzo Gold reconditioning... for a second time no less! I drive an identical 2004 Ultimate L, but mine has 192,000 miles. It is such a great car. I just put on a set of new Michelin Defender 2 tires on its beautiful chrome wheels. A note on the windshield problem on the video car, that is probably a replacement windshield because originals have an white oval "built in Wixom" sticker on the right lower corner.
yeah, I was thinking that too. a strong possibility. installers sometimes are sloppy with adhesives or cleaners and some residues seep onto and into the glass, and it shows up right away.

@@mfgreviews5028 he's talking about an air bubble in the solid black portion of the frit, that means it is detaching from the windscreen. that can happen if there was contaminant on the glass surface when originally applied. I've got a town car over 20 years old where there is no detachment.
No harm meant from Anthony, just a light quip. I have a CD player in my 2019 Impala and rarely use it. I prefer syncing my iPod Classic. It has my entire music library.

Hey Anthony & Papa Bear, this Town Car Ultimate L is gorgeous!!! Just the way I like it with the chrome wheels & wheel well moldings, whitewall tires & lightly tinted windows. The extended wheel base makes it that much more desirable!!! I think that it's priced fairly & I'm sure that it will sell quickly. The extended 6 inches was for the Limousine industry which is the "bread and butter" for Lincoln. I believe that is what the L is supposed to indicate. At least, that is what most of us chauffeurs think. I have been driving these since '01 and have seen many of the Town Cars with well over 350,000 miles and they still drive like new if you do the proper maintenance. On a side note; I would always tell the passenger in the front seat not to anger the passengers in the back. They have that button in the back to move the seat forward for extra leg room (NBA Players Button we used to call it) and take out the front passenger at the knees if they wanted too. XTS came after DTS as you know and CT6 is rear drive and still sold in China. Do you feel it is a Cadillac in the sense of how you perspnally feel about Cadillac? I am just curious.

I’m picking up a 2004 ultimate L on Tuesday. I believe it’s the same color but with black carriage roof. Looks stunning. I’m concerned about how to take care of that roof though. Any suggestions ? It has 90,000 miles, one owner.

The Town Car Ultimate was ONLY made in 2004 making this car even more rare. I have several Town Cars and my Favorite is my White 2004 Ultimate. I do own a 2008 "L" and the extra length makes it ride better. It also has options not available on short length cars. Mine has the "Office" package which includes extra outlets, HVAC & Radio Controls as well as the ability to move the passenger seat forward. It also has lighted visors and heated seats in the back & a cigar lighter in both rear doors. The smoking section is OPEN. Gladly not in mine.

Here’s what happened with Cartier: Ford was paying a licensing fee for using the Cartier name - in a cost saving move, Ford chose not to renew the licensing agreement.
Honestly I’m surprised Ford kept it for as long as they did. Bill Blass went away after ‘92 and Ford was really cutting costs and cheapening out their cars around this time.
@@chriswilkerson1493 I agree, but I think that Ford approached the Panther line the wrong way. The problem for the Panther body cars was poor value for the price vs. the competition. My '06 Presidential Town Car was a $50k car when new - but it is honestly plain compared with other $50k cars of the era. This is why sales declined rapidly after '03, it lacked a compelling reason to buy for new car buyers.
True and Ford could no longer use Cartier logo on it's Town Car seats and steering wheel and side upper panel. The free Cartier watch with a new purchase of a town car was also scratched.

that black area on the windshield is called a frit. most likely it was improperly applied at the factory and is lifting off.

Ultimate replaced Cartier to denote the top of the line model. In 05, it was renamed Signature Limited.
