The most comprehensive slalom documentary I've ever watched! Screaming Ben was hilarious 🤣. Impressive gybes, apart from one 🙈 I've had the same eyebrows problem (42y) - just trim it! It works and you'll look 5y younger. Well done Ben, massive efforts payed off 👏
That's a great pleasure to watch You playing and having a big fun from Windsurfing! It's easy to see You don't have to and You just can and want! Great fun watching that episode! Stay having a fun and spread it around!
It's ALL about tuning... & TRIM!! Tune your GEAR, Tune your BODY, Tune your MIND, Then... nail your START (if you can?), & TRIM your eyebrows!! THEN you can conquer the WORLD!!!
Thank you for over 40 minutes of smiling! You are 'THE MAN"! CONGRATS AND THANKS for sharing, creating, inspiring and just being a super positive person that makes the windless days joyful (in front of TV, but anyway). Your passion, honesty and being so amature-friendly makes your clips amazing and worth showing. If I have to show someone what the windsurfing is the whole sport is about I usually imagine and describe you man and show your videos! Thanks for your hard work and all the effort !!!
These videos are awesome. Sagres looks great, after seeing this video I would love to go there to compete with you guys in those conditions. It is a long ride from Czech Republic, though.
Never Boring ! You and Nico Prien are great values for windsurfing media survival... There is a guy phil95 who also gives his time to post video very pleasant to see when you stuck at home as no wind.. Keep going guys !
As we say in French... The English man us kinda cunning :-) Like..."Someone ripped my 7.0" and shouting at every jibe ; but you do an amazing job!! YOU ROCK Ben - Can't wait to hear you comment PWA again soon...
Mate, your your videos are so epic and fun that I feel like coming back to slalom competition again. Psychological distress is one trick for sure can be used. Not very sporty though. Always try to protect your windward by pointing a bit up right from each buoy. If you get Vasco shaved I will consider a comeback. =D It's great to see such long lost friends! Keep up with the great work! Cheers!
1) save for 2nd boom 2) work on the legs 3) endurance 4) shave eye brows.....sounds like you have a solid plan to take it to the next level for next year Ben 😁
Great episode! My slalom gear hangs in the garage gathering dust sadly. My flat water go to rig is an ancient AHD Diamond 64 board and NP 8.4, but it can still get up and go. Your so lucky to be in a place where the wind actually blows. Florida’s west coast in the summertime is flat and calm. Weeks go by with little or no breeze. Great sailing on your part challenging the front runners and the video coverage was superb.
@@WindsurfingTV Yeah well, I just had shit session in an onshore f3/4 with a rising high tide at Hayling Island - how do you like them bananas :). Oh right, feck....:)
Another great video Ben. Can you tell us what did you learn about fins this time round? What were your board sail fin combos? Also great shots,we could feel the speed!!!
how cool is to see how passionated you are for all kinds of our sport. This idiots guide nails it! what a pleasure to watch and learn something. BTW interesting style of beach starts and gybing! Keep on please
Another fun video to watch, congrats on the third place. If I wanted to record myself jibing so I can get some advice from someone else, what camera and viewpoint/mount location do you suggest?
Well the 360 cameras are awesome. As you can pick your shot afterward. The main things you need to see to improve gybing are hands and feet movement (the timing of and position) . So you need to be able to see them in the shot.
Great video, very enjoyable! Now, for the next video in the "Idiot's Guide to Slalom" series, how about an exploration on how to do this fine tuning? What do you tune first? How do you test? What has the greatest impact?
@@WindsurfingTV That would be great. I have not yet seen anyone explaining a clear methodology on how to go about tuning your gear. I have two suspicions why this is: 1. They know, but want to keep it to themselves as a competitive advantage 2. No one knows and most just do some random testing and arrive with something that seems to work. Very unscientific and no help to novices! The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.
Marc Shipman-Mueller let’s see... I have a feeling it’s a lot of Feel. So firstly you have to be good enough to know the feelings your fear is giving you.. some good sailors don’t have the best feel. But given the eight kit they fly. Some have amazing feeling and get their gear tuned perfect.. but don’t have natural speed. ... maybe!! 😁
You are a great ambassador for the sport 👊
Victor-Emmanuel cheers Victor

Nice chaps! As last year. And exciting! Well done and thank you, Ben!😁👏🤙

Learning a lot mate, by watching. Good to know you have improved. Nothing wrong with plugs...so long as you are up there lol

J. Archard for sure.. sagres is an awesome place! Well, that’s why I moved here! 😁
Hope you get some wind soon.. I’ll send some over! 😁

Brilliant stuff!!
Just switched from Pry(ce)d to Simmer, Ben proved it’s competitive! Good job Ben👍
We need to get you doing the ukwa slalom !!
more of this please and more foiling hehe
4th it's really great man!!!!
Great Video! Hope to get to Sagres one day!
Well done Ben! Fun vid.
Great vid! It would be soooo interesting to have a race where half of the guys are on Sputnik 265 and MKIV or similar and the other half on mew stuff.
SuperMpix I have a plan 😁 ...watch this space!
No chances for oldschool gear unless there is zero wind. Old gear is heavy and slow.
how cool is to see how passionated you are for all kinds of our sport. This idiots guide nails it! what a pleasure to watch and learn something. BTW interesting style of beach starts and gybing! Keep on please
Cheers mate.. beach start: Maybe I put my front foot on first so I didn’t sink the back of the board to keep the fin safe! 😁
It's a shame they built blocks so close to the sea at vila do bispo. They ruined the spot.

Yes Marc Shipman-Mueller that’s the plan. As it’s bloody confusing. The plan is to bring a top slalom sailor in. Watch this space! 👍🏻

Nice vid! What`s your opinion on the Bic techno 283 Freeriderace as a intermediate board? Greeting from Germany
MINEX HD Bic techno is a great board. But always better if you can try before you buy 👍🏻
Super fun to watch man! What is your weight and height?? (Just to compare with myself) Congrats...👊👊💯
Yanki Ozdogan thanks 😁. 174cm and 78kg
So great to watch, but not cheap to race..
What camera are you using on the helmet?
epic and fun!
Brilliant entertainment!
How can I get the board on the leeward rail?
Hey Ben, what kind of Cam do you have in this movie? 360???
