So kokichi hates everyone and kokichi wants everyone to die so that's the reason why he wanted kaito to hide in the robot after his death, because if they guessed it was kokichi everyone would have died, and kaito would have won and because kaito has a terrible illness, he would have died less than 5 minutes after he won, so the big master plan was to kill EVERYONE and it would have worked if kaito didn't reveal himself.
