- Here's another Darkhouse Spearing adventure with Tommy n Andie. Watch as we spear several large Northern Pike (also referred to as U-Boats), try out some of my newly fabricated equipment and fill our freezers with delicious filets for the winter.
The underwater camera was epic. The spear was beyond beautiful.
Ok, now that I've watched more of the video I must say this; any dude that custom makes his gal a trident like that out of lawn mower blades and springs is beyond pimp. The "A" you put on that spear is simply the cherry on top. I hope that sweet heart tattooed your first, middle, and last name on her lower back. Well done, Sir.

I don't understand how you two get away with all the movement when you see a pike. AND with the door open too. Crazy, our pike must be a heeluva lot more skittish. Looks like you guys have a bunch of fun, and after all that's what it's about. Happy spearing.

Our limit in Michigan is only 2 pike per person. Basically just when the fun is getting started it's over. You guys looked like you were having a blast. Good video!!
We lower the head into the hole so when fish comes just lift off the hook an move over top fish an drop on fish without scraping ice or tines dug into ice. If we are in a portable tent we have pc 1/4thick plastic set on top ice so tines don’t sink into ice while waiting.

Nice spears! You've got some skill! Hoping to get a new one at the gathering this year. I ordered 5 dekes from rick and connie over a year ago and they still keep promising to send order and never do. Others experiencing the same. Wouldn't order from him. Keep up the killer spearing vids! Those pike are huge!

She missed because she didn't get the crossmember of the spear under the water. She made a splash to scare them off every time she threw.
Although this is cool I’d like to try it I hate seeing the huge pike die
you missed because you did not have head of spear in he water and it created bubbles - also you should always clean off your spear off and each fish

My story one year out on a 10 mile wide lake I was about 10 feet away from another friends house an he yells out beast and i yelled back get em and he yells back headed your way We was in 12 feet of water with about 4 to 6 inches of ice and when this hog came up after my live sucker i pulled up really slow and this pike came up and up and up and the mouth opened then got bigger and bigger and it was 4 feet down still coming up to get my sucker decoy and that mouth on this pike was so wide open i freaked out and by the time knew i gasp for my own breath and dropped everything i never seen a pike that huge in my life of course it will not be laying on ice it was spoked out after the fact i dropped my spear and ran out of the fish house my friend has never let me go with him again he knew there was big pike in the area we set up this is about the short version as best told as i can typing but this pike had to be in the 30 pound with a mouth that i thought was a gator coming up from about 10 feet to 2 to 3 feet below the ice that scared the hell out of me

Nice to see a Whittier Decoy! I ordered 4 of them, 3 seasons ago and he will not send them!
I’ve heard that from a few people. Two of my friends had to haggle him to get the decoys they paid for!
@adammarchbanks986 Mr. Whittier had some health issues and family loss over covid. However, he kept assuring me they were going to be sent. I, finally filed a BBB complaint, and he send them all within the month. Apr 2023. They were freshly painted. Very nice decoys for the price. I would like to buy more but he probably wouldn't accept an order from me now. Sad.
@@drush406 that may be true but I honestly think he just makes excuses and if people push it to a legal issue he turns them out. I can only imagine how many people are out there “waiting” on decoys. It’s too bad. He makes a nice decoy….
@adammarchbanks986 AGREED 💯 % BBB was the action I took because he wouldn't answer phone or email! He had $128 of mine and next, I would have driven 500mi to get it back!
Look up Wallace fish Decoys! For 129.00 they Swim an Look Real! I have 4 of them and all are more less same size just Painted different colors!
